From Dusk till Dawn! - Chapter 436
Mo Yuhan shrugged, “You are a good actress,” He leaned closer to her, “But I really loved your gift,” He spoke beside her ear.
It was not about being insecure or jealous but maybe since they were young, it was his innermost desire to claim her as his friend as they were friends at that time. But she was secretive, she would only meet him like a thief. And his desire got stronger after she reappeared in his life and he got to know that it was her.
“Where is mine?”
“You will get it in the evening, at our place,” He stepped back from her.
She smiled, “I am excited.’
“Lili…” He grabbed her hand.
“Mmm?”
“Stop being insecure about the pregnancy issues and all. I’ve scheduled an appointment at Mo Globals. Let’s go to the Hospital tomorrow, alright?”
She nodded, “I’ve stopped worrying about it for a long time for I know that you are always here with me. I love you.”
“I love you too,” He kissed the tip of her nose, “I am curious. When did you arrange all this?”
“In the morning, when you were preparing breakfast for me.”
“And why didn’t the guards stop them?”
“Because I gave them a day off,” She blinked.
“Alright then, I will pick you up in the evening. Don’t go anywhere alone,” His gaze deepened.
“Don’t even think about punishing them. I strictly ordered them to not follow me around for the day.”
Mo Yuhan sighed helplessly, “Alright.”
As soon as Mo Yuhan left, Tang Li got back to complete her work which was piling up on her desk.
…
“What are you doing here?” Tang Yichen glanced at the man in disdain.
Mo Yuhan raised an eyebrow as he walked past the man as he stepped inside the house.
“You lack manners. This is my house,” Tang Yichen scoffed as he closed the door before walking inside with his arms folded in front of his chest as he reprimanded the man.
“Mo Jia’s house,” Mo Yuhan picked up the cup of coffee from the table before taking a sip. His face scrunched up, “You can’t even make a cup of coffee properly.”
Tang Yichen gaped, “That was mine. I was about to drink it…”
“Childish.”
Tang Yichen ignored his remark. “And what do you mean by I can’t make a cup of coffee? You think you can cook better?” He settled on the single couch beside the man.
“It’s a fact that I can.”
“You…” Tang Yichen was speechless, “Mo Jia is my wife. What’s hers is mine too. Since it is our house, you should get out now.”
Mo Yuhan leaned forward, “And your wife is my sister too. She won’t like it if she knows how you treat her brother.”
This evil sly man. Tang Yichen’s imaginary foxtail drew circles on the ground, “You seduced my sister and now she has announced your relationship in front of the public. More of a reason for you to be smug,” He clicked his tongue.
“Where is Jia?” Mo Yuhan looked around the living room.
“She is in the hospital, busy with her work,” Tang Yichen sighed as he leaned back on the couch like a bitter husband, “Why are you here anyway?” He was also bitter about the fact that it has been one year since his little princess was stolen by this jerk.
“Do you have the picture of your mother’s friend?” Mo Yuhan asked seriously as he placed his coffee cup down.
Tang Yichen’s face hardened, “What is it? You got some leads on mother’s death and where the Tang Corporations’ money went to?”
“I have a guess,” Mo Yuhan spoke after a few seconds.
“And it is?”
“That my uncle and Aunt might be involved in this,’ Mo Yuhan continued.
Grandpa Song’s girlfriend was the lady who had an affair with Grandpa Tang, later on, to establish her foothold in at least one of the royal families but everything flipped when she did not acquire anything out of it.
Later, she had an affair with a man of her status and they had a daughter who is Mo Yuhan’s uncle’s wife, Mo Yi.
Despite having a daughter, the woman was bitter about her past and she left that man. When Song Tianyu and Song Tianyi were kidnapped by the Song Family enemies, she played some underhanded tricks to get her hands on the young Song Tianyi and brainwashed the blind boy against his family, making him believe that she was his real mother while he was abandoned by his father because of his elder brother.
Over the years, she sprouted the seeds of revenge in his heart for which Song Tianyi grew up to be equally vengeful. He tried to destroy everything and everyone close to his elder brother, including Tang Li but in the end, he developed a soft corner for his niece and everything came to the light.
But amidst all this, Mo Yi played no role. She was non-existent and Mo Yuhan did not think that a hateful woman like her mother would be able to grow her daughter with morality.
Atleast, not after, how mysteriously Mo Yi appeared in his uncle’s life as his lover, and they even married in a rush. And especially, not after how she looked at Tang Li with so much hatred in her eyes.
Tang Yichen brought a picture from his room before walking towards him, “This picture is half burnt. I could not recover it,” He sat beside the man after handing him the picture.
Mo Yuhan’s gaze darkened.
Tang Yichen frowned, “You recognize her?” His Grandpa believed that it was his mother’s friend who was responsible for everything that happened with her but without evidence, they could not conclude anything.
“Of course, I do.”
Later that evening.
Tang Li leaned back on the swivel chair as she stretched her body. She yawned. She felt unusually tired today.
Her phone started ringing at the moment. She glanced at the caller ID and a smile made its way to her lips as she answered the call.
