Gambit - 41 041| Truth
From the other side comes terrible danger as the king of Witherheart debuts in front of them. Shocked, Virgo is to see the man and immediately hides behind the tree while taking small glimpses at him. As for the princess of Pureheart, her anger raged like wild-fire, seeing the man who killed her mother. On the other hand, Quartz stood up, willing to fight alongside the princess just to protect the maiden. Both took out their swords and wore a fighting stance.
“Stay, the king is mine to fight.” demands Jupiter as she pushes Quartz back to the ground violently.
“You cannot defeat him alone Jupiter, Vladimir is a Hex.”
“Neither can you!” Jupiter shouts back.
With the maiden hiding behind the tree, trying to make the slightest of sounds as possible is no other than Endeavor, the second in the defense in case Jupiter’s plan goes terribly wrong. Quartz has always commanded to keep the maiden safe from any trouble since the day it became the young man’s pet.
“The princess of Pureheart? What an unexpected surprise?” says, Vladimir as she chuckles hysterically, taking out his sword as well.
“Your blood will be exchanged for all the lives you had killed. You are a murderer, a blood-thirsty wrenched-”
“Sounds more like a vampire to me. Hehe, what can a princess like you do to me?” Vladimir interrupts.
Meanwhile, Virgo, the maiden tries to encourage Quartz to stay low to the ground and leave this situation to the problem. She wears hysteria in her face, begging desperately for Quartz not fight.
“Please, Quartz, do not do this.” she pleads, clinging to his hand tightly.
“Jupiter cannot-”
“And she is right, neither can you. The king of Witherheart has murdered many towns at his own, and you expect to defeat him? This is not fantasy, there are no cheats, no upgrades, nothing at all. Whoever is stronger than the other, that is the victor, that is the system Sacchi has.” desperate, the maiden is, even spilling tears for Quartz.
The princess, Jupiter Braveheart is quick to pry the edged cutlass from the king’s fingers and whips around to clash steel. She holds the sword of her mother even, a perfect, undaunted horizon; always leveled with the nose, just as her father, the king had taught her.
She has stalled Vladimir’s strike, but watches a wretched, stained grin split the king’s lips as her blade shivers under the brutality of his compelling strength.
“Weapons do not belong in the hands of women,” he throatily croons, pressing closer to her face. The blade flashes as he brings it over his head and hums a low, swift tune when he brings it down.
Nearly getting stabbed by Vladimir, Quartz arose and clashes his sword unto the the other. He then pushes Jupiter to further from the king for safety. “I will be in charge of this.” says, the young man with confidence.
Meanwhile, Virgo’s heart pounds loudly as a droplet of tear turns into a stream. In sorrows she admits, she has fallen in love with the young man over time to the point she cannot withstand Quartz from leaving her sight. Deep in her sanity, she knows what to do but a part of her lacks the confidence to commence it.
“Should I?” wonders, Virgo, thinking in her mind deeply. A downpour of tears falls from her eyes, seeing Quartz and the king fighting until their blood has been spilled to the gentle soil. The longer she thinks of the decision, the more agitated she becomes as she worries for the man he met back in the patch of flowers.
As for the princess, she flinched after the actions of the young man. In the grass she watches the fight, her anger and resentment all gone for a moment. From the battle between a courageous pawn and a king of the black kingdom, a melody of serenity interrupts, calming the incandescent heat lingering inside the two of them…
