Game In Middle Earth - Chapter 17.
“Quiet. The Lord”
Aldarion was still unconscious and was only able to repeat the scene in which the elf got off his horse and said a few words. He still did not understand, but due to the continuous repetition of the scene at the end he managed to read his lips and he could understand those three words.
Time passed without Aldarion knowing how long he was unconscious. One day suddenly he began to notice pangs of pain from the places where, he supposed, the wolves had managed to hurt him, as in the right arm.
After a while of agony during which he could not get up the pain began to subside and finally, having a very deep breath indicating with this the effort he was having, Aldarion managed to open his eyes.
Although only his eyes were a little half open, he was draining all the energy he had at that moment, so after a couple of seconds he closed his eyes again and fell asleep.
The difference to when he was unconscious was that the body no longer hurt him and instead he had a feeling of total relaxation, as if he were in a hospital in his previous life and had been anesthetized.
What he saw during the seconds when he opened his eyes was what appeared to be a well-furnished room, but he also saw a lady. Besides, she was not any lady, for he was so beautiful that she looked like a goddess.
When he closed his eyes and fell asleep, having seen her gave him the best sleep he had had in his two full lives. Secretly Aldarion was eager to wake up to meet her.
The next day Aldarion woke up again, but this time he was almost completely full of energy. Aldarion opened his eyes completely this time and it took him a while to get used to the ambient light that came in through the window of the room and illuminated it completely.
When he finally managed to focus his eyesight he realized that there was someone standing next to his bed and Aldarion, hopeful, at first thought it was the woman he had seen the previous time, but to his surprise it was not her but a man.
Even that for Aldarion the man he was seeing was the most beautiful he had ever seen he would never admit it. ‘He could even pretend to be a woman’ He thought to himself.
Then Aldarion continued to observe him better. Aldarion saw a very tall man, about 1’90 meters, his face was very beautiful, his eyes were a crystal blue that almost seemed to shine and his hair was very long and silver.
Fixing himself better in his hair he noticed that at the height of his ears two points protruded. Indeed, the one Aldarion was seeing right in front of him was an elf and not a human.
‘If I think about it better, I’ve never seen someone this perfect. Besides, when I was going to be unconscious after the attack of the wolves, those who rescued me were elves.’ He thought to himself, reasoning everything.
‘So, can I imagine that the beauty of yesterday was also an elf?’ Aldarion said to himself a little downheartedly.
Aldarion knew how proud the elves were, for it would be impossible to get into a conversation with her, let alone have a relationship.
Suddenly seeing that time was passing and Aldarion did not speak the elf in front of him, he decided to start the conversation.
“Greetings young Aldarion. I’ve been waiting for you.” When the elf addressed him by his real name Aldarion opened his eyes wide, surprised that his identity had been discovered so quickly.
“Where? How? Who…?” Aldarion was so surprised that he could not pronounce any of the questions in his head. Listening to him, the elf smiled at him and continued talking.
“I’m Cirdan, King of Lindon. You’re at my house in the Tower Hills.” The first thing he did was introduce himself and tell him where he was standing would make Aldarion’s mind very clear, then he went on.
“A few days ago, I prophesied your arrival, that’s why I know your identity. I knew you were close to my borders so I sent my captain of the guard to meet you and escort you here. Unfortunately, the wolves found you before, luck that they found you before we could regret it.” Cirdan began telling him about these days since his men brought him.
Apparently, Aldarion was unconscious for a week and thanks to elven medicine he was saved. During all these days Aldarion was taken care of by a lady from Cirdan’s court, someone very close to him but they did not become a family. Aldarion guessed that it was the lady he saw the other time.
Time flew by while Aldarion was attending to everything Cirdan told him. At one point, when they were talking, the sound of knocks on the mother’s door sounded.
“Go ahead.” Cirdan said calmly, knowing who was.
“I come to bring food for the guest my lord.” said a lady as she opened the door of the room and carried a tray of fruit.
As soon as Aldarion saw her, he could not take his eyes off her until she noticed and both of them blushed. Seeing the shyness shown by her Cirdan had a gesture to finish having an idea that almost did not show on his face.
“Aldarion, I present to you the Lady Erumre. She has been taking care of you all these days.” Cirdan thought about introducing them.
Cirdan loved Erumre very much, she was for him as his own daughter and she carried a deep trauma in her heart for centuries. He always tried to cure her, but even if there was improvement, he could not cure her illness.
From what he had prophesied, Cirdan knew that Aldarion was special, so he wanted to try his luck and see if he could cure her. Therefore, the elf king appointed Erumre to take care of Aldarion.
“Nice to meet you, my lady. I am Aldarion.” After the presentation of Erumre by Cirdan, Aldarion decided to present himself. Aldarion decided to use his real name because she thought that if Cirdan knew it too.
Erumre only nodded timidly to Aldarion after he showed up. “If you do not need me for anything else, I’ll retire.” She said.
Seeing her timid but cold reply, Aldarion became depressed. And after she left and closed the door, Cirdan began to look very seriously at Aldarion, so much so that Aldarion started to get scared.
“Aldarion I have a favor to ask you.”
