Gamemaster’s System - Chapter 1 The System Encounter 001
His eyes, similar to a corpse’s own pair, wandered over the screen. He had been talking to his friend’s for days on end, trying to come up and scrap ideas for a game that felt like creating. There was one thing that they always came back to when tossing around ideas, though.
A Virtual Reality game.
After hours of trying to confirm this decision, it was finally decided upon. He got up from his chair and stretched. His eyes hovered in the air before gazing at the white board beside him. It had all the plans and story he felt that needed to be jotted down. Not wasting a moment longer, he tossed himself onto his bed and slept with the blankets off.
He slept for almost a day before waking from his hibernation. Surprisingly, he felt very refreshed and relaxed, a good mood for programming. He squinted at the rushed notes and leaned in. However, the arm of the chair he was leaning against gave out as his chair rolled away from him.
He stumbled and, with a crash, fell to the solid, wood flooring below. He groaned as a pain permeated his bones, leaving bruises in his weak skeleton. It wasn’t the first time he had fallen from this; it just hadn’t happened in a while.
He resigned himself to think from a new view of the world while laying helplessly laying there. He could quite easily get up, but he just wanted to stay for a little. While thinking of ideas, it felt like he had just popped his spine.
Confused, he sits up. He looks forward to see something he would never had expected to happen. A floating screen that seemed simple and almost elegant had appeared before him.
[ Host has finally reached conditions met for gaining |GameMaster System| . Would Host receive the System? ]
[ Y / N ]
He fumbled about before finally clicking Y. After clicking, he sighed. He had read books where the main character had achieved a System as well, but never that it truly existed. His boggled mind was swirling in fantasies of being strong and well-liked.
He snapped out of it as the System started to take the initiative and explain what it does.
[ System had been created for the purpose of helping Host in achieving things that no ordinary mortal can achieve. Of course, System has limits. System can only affect electronic devices at lower levels. Once System has grown enough, the SS (Systematic Store) will now be available and Host would be able to buy physical objects with SP (System Points). What has Host chosen to do now? ]
He read the message and started nodding. He slowly got up from the floor and got into his chair, “Well, I wish to create a Virtual Reality game RPG that is fully functional. My friend’s really wanted to help and said that they will tomorrow when coming over… Should I tell them, System?”
[ System suggests Host tell friends about the System and it’s capabilities in order to have people to comfort Host when something good or bad happens. System is in no danger and Host has enough experience with friends to know that they won’t harm Host. System just advises that Host tell them to keep System as a secret in order to not threaten Host’s life. ]
His mind went into a concentration state. The System made a lot of sense and this was something that he knew that other main character’s of their own series usually never told anyone. It would really help his friend’s understand why things were happening and possibly no longer be his friend because of this big secret.
He decided that he should start working on the game early and asked the System how the System could help him start. He was a really talented programmer, hence why he chose to take on such a task.
[ Host does not need to worry as System will take care of all the coding and programming involved. System has used all the information on this topic from Host’s memories. If Host has a request that System can’t program, SP (System Points) will be needed to continue task. Hackers will be unable to get into the System and somehow expose Host. ]
“How do I gain SP?” He asked.
[ Host can gain SP from three following ways: 1. Advertisements of the following game. 2. Have a channel and talk about the experience of the game, this is the most risky because you might expose yourself (The amount of views is proportionate to the number of SP). 3. Come up with original game ideas for the System to use when building the world. ]
He thought about it for a while and knew that it would go well. “When do you think we can start building the world?”
[ Host can start building right now. Would Host like to transfer to game world? ]
[ Y / N ]
Obviously, he picked yes.
