Gamemaster’s System - Chapter 15 Card Brawl 15
Adrian spent most, if not all of his time on creating the monsters and weapons. This did not include stats and other factors. He had also bought a building with some of the money he made from the game to get the shop. He gave the responsibility to Esmae(Greed) to run the shop and handle it as a business.
He bought packs of 100 blank cards for 1 point each pack, and he had the System fill them in with his specifications. He had millions to billions of points, so a single point only mattered a little compared to it. He had several of his friends, who weren’t advertising Clear Minds, help him create the cards.
Everyone was a little mystified at how the cards became real, about the same reaction, if not a little duller than how they first reacted to the pods being made. They took their time as they created thousands of unique, powerful, or common cards for the public’s use. All the game cards were thinner and yet stronger than credit cards.
Adrian even made some other things that would be very useful for the game. These things included a belt and fitting outfits of all sizes. These outfits would not be bought with money, they were only bought with points. The outfits progressively got more expensive and way better in function after each one.
When someone defeats a monster, 40% of the monster energy goes to the wrist device as points. Each monster’s monster energy was practically the equivalent of its health. Once it’s health is no longer in it’s “energy stream” and it is attached to the inside layer of skin, it will disperse when the monster no longer has anymore.
Little do the players know, different monsters have different weak spots where this monster energy accumulates. Adrian grinned, knowing that most of them would be stuck trying to figure out how to do crits.
He and the rest stopped when they thought they had enough cards, roughly over ten thousand different cards. Most of them were of card packs while others were collectors cards and something else. Adrian “printed” out roughly all of the cards at least once. He got the really common ones and made tons of copies of them.
He also got all the items made by the System and got it ready. He sent it all to Esmae who put it all in the store that was called “Card Brawl” which was owned by them. There were no shelves, except mainly display cases that showed off the cards, clothes, and devices. Adrian found out all of who were owners of big companies in his game, Wisp of Magic, and invited them to a virtual meeting.
Of course, he did this by finding out who boasted being the leader of a company and saw if they had posted anything about the game on social media. This was a bit of a pain, but he dealt with it anyway and waited for them to come.
All of those big companies were excited yet professional and immediately joined the meeting. They sat down and waited for Melted Reflection to start it. “Now that everyone is here, let me say that I am making another game. I need permission from other companies for what I need to do.”
“What type of game?” One says.
“This game is one that anyone can participate in as long as they have a special device. This is like augmented reality, but more realistic and you can see everything without any special glasses or anything of the sort. I want to allow some people to keep from being annoyed at work because a dragon just flew by. I want you and other companies to have access to monster repellant.”
“I see, well…”
They continued on with the meeting, and they concluded that they will allow it if they get a 5% royalty.
. . .
Adrian went around everywhere he had the ability to go and planted small devices in trees, rocks, and sometimes buildings(with permission, of course). He had gone all over the nation in order to place all of the different tiny devices. He was going to announce all across Wisp of Magic that there was a new game that he made, and this one was completely free to the public.
He had bought shops all across the large nation and put the card game’s name of Card Brawl on it. He was quite tired but decided to announce that all the devices would go online tonight. He made sure all the robot shopkeepers were online by checking in on Esmae. Everything was set to go and he entered the game.
