Gamemaster’s System - Chapter 2 The Admins 002
He was absolutely curious about the gray world around him. He glanced around before finally setting down and just waiting.
[ Host has entered the game world. Time will not pass in the real world while creating the virtual one. Host’s memories scanned. Implementing name “Wisp of Magic” into game name data base. Implementing name “Melted Reflection” as Host’s IGN (In Game Name). Creating building tools. Creating hierarchy system of management. Host has been selected as “Creator” for “Wisp of Magic.” Giving Host tools. ]
Suddenly, a staff appeared within his hands. It was simple, elegant, and a beautiful shade of white.
[ The tool given has the ability to shape the landscape to Host’s will. Since time doesn’t flow proportionately to Ethra, you can spend as much time sculpting the land around you, coloring it how you like. You can create NPC’s and tell System what specifications for the NPC. ]
“Alright, let’s get to it,” he said. With multiple waves of his staff, the land around him molded to his will.
. . .
Adrian was satisfied with this colorful world of his. After all, he had built it. It mainly looked plain, but decided that he should bring it up with his friends to make it more detailed.
Finally, he said, “System, I wish to go back to Eshra.”
He disappeared from the virtual world and reappeared within his room. He looked at his clock and noticed that it hadn’t moved at all since he went to the other world. It was late at night and he decided to fall asleep since he hadn’t truly slept in days.
He yawned before placing himself on the bed and pulled the covers over him. He shut his eyes and relaxed all his muscles in his limbs, torso, and face before finally drifting peacefully to sleep.
. . .
He woke up to the sound of his alarm. He turned off his alarm and threw the blankets off his body. He got up and made his bed. He got dressed and ate breakfast, brushing his teeth right after to make sure he doesn’t gain bad breath. He brushed his hair and put on his socks and shoes. He put everything he needed into his pockets and go outside for a morning jog before going to the coffee shop.
He walked inside with a chime and scanned the tables. His seven friends waved him over, causing him to arrive there with a smile. “So, Adrian, have you done any programming yet for the game, or were you waiting on us?”
“I have started on it, but I need some help with it. Once we’re done with our coffee, let’s go to my house.
True to his word, Alex, Esmae, Malori, Cris, Saphy, Arty, and Julian set off with Adrian to his house. The names weren’t all their complete names since they were actually pretty long. Julian’s actual name was long and just seemed weird, so they called him by his middle name instead.
They reached his house where he allowed them in with open arms. Soon after they were settled on the couches did they start talking again, “before we start discussing the programming and such, there’s something I have to tell you guys…”
“Oh? Did something happen? Did somebody try to beat up this little brother of mine?” Asks Arty in a brotherly way.
“No, it’s just that there’s something on my mind I need to tell you about. You see, I gained a ‘power’ and have used it for creating this game of ours. I’ll show you in just a moment,” he made a face of concentration and asked the System mentally to allow them in with him.
The space around his friends warped, causing them to be sucked into the virtual world that he created. He, himself, also warped into the world as well, but he showed up with his staff in hand.
“In here, we can spend an infinite time in here without the world outside moving while I build. I have free control of what happens and what I build. I guess I need to give you guys admin.” With a wave of his staff, a red, bold sign above their heads had appeared and stayed.
“Man, I wish I had this type of ability. Life would probably be a lot easier,” complained Saphy.
“Since you guys already decided your IGN’s for the game already, I guess I’ll put it up as well.” A motion later, names appeared. He already had a name prepared and they decided that they should do something worth a group effort, deciding to do their names seven-deadly-sins style.
Alex was Sloth, Esmae was Greed, Malori was Gluttony, Cris was Lust, Saphy was Envy, Arty was Wrath, and Julian was Pride. It fit them really well and was quite accurate to their personalities. Each of their names were in red, like their status.
“Hey, Adrian, can we have entire temples where each sin is worshiped by cultists and secretly some of the church? That would be quite cool, to be honest.” Julian suggested.
“Okay, let’s get this going, since we got all eternity within this single moment.” Adrian grinned.
