Gamemaster’s System - Chapter 3 Advertising Wisp Of Magic 003
Adrian walked around on the cobbled path. Theoretically, he had spent years making the game with his friends. They were given wands while had a staff. They couldn’t perform tasks like making NPC’s except for when they get permission. They loved being like gods and molding the world around him.
He asked the System if they could create video footage of game. It said yes, but that he should be careful and not let his friends be seen. After realizing that they could be recognized, he allowed them to change how they looked and create a single mount for company.
His own character was that of a heavenly God. He created angels, demons, and even the Demon King. There were forests of wild and rampant monsters that were within a certain level range and type. Multiple dungeons were scattered across the game world, and towns that were just outside the entrance. In the virtual mornings, the dungeons were open to the public. While during the night they were closed so that the dungeon could regenerate all it’s lost monsters.
Only a few, giant dungeons were available for entire guilds or even clans to run through and gain loots and experience. A single player can get to level 300 while the admins were at level 400. The Demon King was a very powerful being at level 410, something that would require the players to gather all the seven generals and turn against the Demon King to defeat.
Though, Adrian and the others decided not to tell the players that they can’t defeat him and the generals are required to defeat the King.
Within each Kingdom their are pages belonging to Grimoires and equipment that grows with every level, making them a lot stronger than other player’s their level. For rich players, they can trade real life money for virtual currency, and need to be a specific level for the other way around.
Regardless, they were finished with the game. Though, they planned to, in the real world, wait a year to publish the game. Why? They need to advertise the game and give him SP which he can spend on making the game pods which can be purchased in his System shop. Whenever he had got to the point where the map was at least a hundred miles long in diameter, his System had upgraded.
The System Shop opened and he gained access to material objects which included his staff and their wands. He had gained 104,078 SP from all the original ideas that he and his friends had. He purchased 104 game pods and was broke with 78 SP left. Each game pod hurt his wallet.
He spent a few more months role-playing their roles and getting into character, but making sure that they still were able to be themselves when they weren’t their role.
He met up with his friends at the spawn area and talked with them. “Well, guys, it seems through trial and error we have come a long ways. Now, we must go to the real world and use the recorded footage that we created and show the world our game. Does everyone know what they have to do?”
“Yes,” they replied in unison. Some were going to create completely anonymous accounts with the names of their characters, they will answer questions and allow the fan base to grow. Adrian didn’t have the time to do that and allowed the others to run his account. The others who weren’t doing that were creating advertisements and partnering with companies to help advertise with.
Once the details of their jobs were finalized, they set off for the real word, possibly going to leave a mark in the hearts of everyone.
. . .
They appeared within the real world, feeling different as they now had to bend to the laws of Ethra now that they were back in it. They immediately went back home and tried to remember what happened before they went inside the virtual world. They learned to respond quickly after having fought each other and created scenes for their roles.
Adrian, who was already at home, sat at his computer. He looked at the different platforms that plagued the internet and thought of how much exposure he would get, causing lots of people to see the advertisements and him to get thousands, if not millions of SP. Even if someone had already seen the ad, it would still give more SP regardless.
He went to the SS (System Store) and looked at his SP. It was still 78 like before. He went to consumables and found some Nutrition Drinks, each costing 10 SP. They would travel through the body, making the host less tired and supplied it with nutrients that the host lacked and exposed of the ones he had too much of.
He bought seven drinks and downed one of them, making him feel a lot more better than he usually would. He got up and decided to purchase a gym pass at a local gym.
