Gamemaster’s System - Chapter 4 Alley Way Twins 004
It had been three months since they had finished the game and started opening up their advertisements to the public. The 104 game pods were still within Adrian’s inventory and were staring at him, waiting to be used. He had gained hundreds of millions of points roughly each month and it kept growing larger.
Every Friday they would meet at Adrian’s house to talk about what has happened during the week. They even took into account what other games were doing and how the public reacted to such things.
Adrian currently had 102,482,563 SP at that moment and bought 102,482 game pods. He had 563 SP left that could be used to buy 56 drinks. He would drink one every night. He asked the System if it would have any side effects and it said none, that it would be actually more helpful than bad.
Adrian, who went to the gym every day, had gained a lot of muscle, and his friends noticed. Saphy looked jealous while Julian asked what he did to get them. He told him it was like how he bought the game pods, he just bought drinks instead. He gave one or two to each of them.
Every once and a while Adrian would search the internet and see some of his ads. He would smile before watching it and continue on with his task. Once the pleasant feeling faded, he went ahead and looked over roughly everything that had happened the fast few weeks.
He got up and stretched. He gave himself a pat on the back before going to a local restaurant. He ordered some steak, since it had been a while, and gave the waitress a tip and left. He walked down the side walk and sighed. It was really late at night and the crisp air was refreshing.
His walk was cut short as he heard a cry of pain come from an alley-way. He cursed his luck before thinking, ‘System, what is the chance of surviving this encounter and helping the person out?’
[System scanning alley-way. System gives ten percent chance of death and five percent chance of getting injured. There are three hostile life forms while there are two injure passive life forms detected. One of three hostile life forms carries a gun. System suggests Host take out the right one silently and the other two by surprise. This is the most effective strategy. ]
He thought about it and realized that it would probably be a good thing to do this. After all, he wanted to help a few people in his life at some point, why not then and there?
Adrian tried to stick to the shadows, the twins were unconscious at the moment and were deeply bruised and hurt. It seems that they were getting bullied. He frowned and quickly chopped at the neck of the right-most person before grabbing him and dragging him. That man was easily unconscious.
He quickly took the initiative and punched both of the other men, knocking the wind out of them and bruising their backs. They stumbled forward and almost hit the wall to the sides of the other two.
He quickly grabbed the two hurt people and princess carried both of them back to his apartment. He got a wash cloth and dipped it in warm water and put it next to them. They were on the same bed in his spare bedroom. He got a glass of cold water and put it down on the table the cloth was on and went to go make food for them.
About twenty minutes later he put down to bowls of warm Ramen and went to go lay on a chair near them. He was in a light doze before they showed signs of waking up. Adrian pretended to still be asleep in his chair as they looked around, spotting him and staring. They looked down and saw the food and quietly started to eat.
They realized it was still pretty hot and chose to wait by wiping their faces from the spit. They looked cleaner than before. Adrian pretended to start waking up which caused the other two to stiffen up. He lightly yawned and looked up at the two. He breathed a sigh of relief as he saw that they were “finally” awake.
He got up from the chair and they watched him as he left the room and kept the door open invitingly. He sat on the couch and waited for when they would come out of the room. It took about an hour and a half, but they finally decided to leave.
“Where are we…?” They say as they approached him. He looked up before looking back down again at his cup of water in his hand.
“You’re at my home, I chose to bring you here since you were just being treated poorly. I know it might have been a brash decision, since I quickly went into the situation and, without any context what-so-ever, meddled with your affairs. When or if you wish to leave, I will not stop you. If you wish to stay, however, I’m willing to let you in.” He said before sighing, “I really let people into my heart now, huh?”
He use to always we cold to others around him, since he would panic and probably do something he thought was stupid if he acted too fast. He was snapped out of his thoughts as he remembered there were other people around.
“W-well, there’s nothing we have to go b-back to, mister, would you really let us stay?” One said.
“Of course, but there would be one thing that I would ask of you, though…”
