Gamer In My Hero Academia - Chapter 19 First Nigh
“Master… why am I not with you right now? And why are we splitting up?”.
I was sitting on a private plane listening to the sound of my Master’s voice in my head. Opposite me was Kiritsugu and Maiya, his black haired assistant getting in on in the bathroom while I tried to block the sounds of her voice out of my head.
“Just do what Kiritsugu tells you to do Caster. And I have Saber here to protect me anyway, don’t worry about me and just focus on protecting Kiritsugu”.
“Don’t worry his assistant is taking ‘very’ good care of him”, I say in a sarcastic tone. Irisviel was silent for a moment before saying,
“I’m not going to be around for much longer Caster, there’s nothing you can do to stop that. Kiritsugu knew this and…”.
“But!”.
I couldn’t think of the words to sooth her. Back in Musutafu, at least I didn’t abandon Momo, Ibara or Yu. But his actions were really getting on my nerves, and I was constantly tapping the ground in order to placate my growing anger.
“Caster- Kagami, listen to me. Don’t worry about me and protect Kiritsugu. His dream is the very reason I married him. Otherwise I will use a Command Seal on you to do it”.
Her voice was stern and very word was like a knife digging further and further into my heart.
This extraordinarily beautiful woman would forgive the woman whom her husband is cheating on and sacrifice her life in order to realize his dream.
Needless to say it was really ticking me off!
“Yes Master. I understand”. I say in a cold voice and sever the mental link we have.
“Ahh, Kiritsugu!”.
I clench the armrest so hard that the metal leaves an indent of my hand on it.
‘It’s gonna be a long f*cking plane ride’.
Meanwhile…
“Irisviel, how did you talk with Caster go? You don’t seem very pleased”.
Saber and Irisviel were back at the Einzbern Castle drinking tea waiting for the ‘all green’ signal for them to come to Fuyuki. The white haired beauty sighed before answering,
“Caster isn’t very happy that he was to listen to the sound of my husband cheating on me while you’re here”.
Astoria’s eyebrows furrowed and said, “Kiritsugu is having an affair?”.
The Saber Class Servant knew a thing or two about illicit affairs. Her strongest Knight and wife both betrayed her and ran away with each other killing several other Knights in the process, including his own son.
“How dare he that-!”.
“It’s fine Saber. I don’t have that much long to live anyway. Caster doesn’t believe that I can’t be saved and is trying to find a way to prolong my life”.
Saber’s disgusted face didn’t change but leaned back in her seat and took a sip of her tea, “That Caster fellow. He’s a weird one that’s for sure. He excels in close-combat is in possession of several Primordial Runes that allow him to use Magecraft from the Age of the Gods despite being from the future. An enigma”.
“Really? Primordial Runes? That’s pretty ancient stuff, I wonder where he got it?”. Said Irisviel.
“Although I don’t doubt his strength and loyalty to you Irisviel, he’s personality could use a little work… damn pervert…”.
Irisviel smiled and giggled. She was the recording of her Servant fighting against Saber and the aftermath of when he started to flirt and nearly get killed by the latter.
“I think he’s very kind. A very kind Hero…”. She smiled when she recalled me carrying her to her room. It made her feel free when she was swept off her feet. When she rested her head on Casters chest she didn’t have a care in the world, like her Servant would take care of everything.
“Well… I guess…”. Saber looked outside and saw that Illya was running around and couldn’t help but raise the corner of her mouth.
‘I think this era will have more than a few surprises for me’…
In another part of the world….
“Father Kotomine. Have all the Servants been summoned?”
“Yes Tokiomi. Berserker was summoned last night along with Rider and Lancer. All Masters have been chosen and all Servants have been summoned”.
“Good. Has Assassin been scouting the city? Ascertaining both the Master’s and Servants identity will be vital in winning the war. Have any Masters been found?”.
The old man responded, “Lancer has been summoned by Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald. While Saber and Caster have not yet made their way into the City, all others are present and accounted for”.
The bearded man spun his wine glass around watching the red liquid swirl within.
“With Archer, we’ve all but practically won the War. No Servant could possibly match up to him, however…”.
“Hmm? What is it Tokiomi?”.
“Archer said a peculiar Servant has been summoned this time around. A ‘unique existence’ he said”.
Father Kotomine sat down and rubbed his chin, “There is a possibility for a Class outside of the seven normal ones to be summoned, is that what he meant?”.
“No. As you said all the Servants have been summoned already. Archer said that this Servant in particular is something that he has never seen before”.
The room was silent for a moment before the priest got up and said, “Just be careful Tokiomi. Arrogance is a sin after all”.
Tokiomi didn’t think to much of the priests comment and waved him off leaving him with nothing but a wine glass and three Command Seals on his hand.
‘Unique Existence…’.
Across town….
“Ah! You did it Kariya! I thought you died just then but you’re still hanging on!”. A creepy voice rang out in the basement of a mansion on a hill over looking the city.
“Of course! I’m going to win!”. A man laid down on the floor, his body ringing out in pain as he looked at the Servant in front of him.
“Well, from now until the end of the war I’ll agree to the terms you set and leave Sakura alone… however…”. The old man’s voice grew deeper and more sinister the longer he went on.
“You, better! Otherwise!”.
The Berserker Servant growled at the old man causing him to take a step back.
“I know, I know Kariya. Just get me the Grail and I’ll leave the two of you alone… it’s not like you’ll live to see her anyway…”.
The sound of bugs tapping on the floor echoed throughout the basement and slowly retreated back to the surface.
‘F*cking old man!’.
Kariya got to his feet and slowly walked to the surface, his Servant close behind him giving off animalistic grunts every so often.
A couple days later….
“Saber! We’re finally here!”.
A beautiful white-haired woman with two servants and one blonde bodyguard followed her around, causing everyone they pass by to look at them and get lost in their beauty.
“Yes Master. I understand. Kiri- Someone has already readied the car, so let us be off”.
Irisviel gave Saber a wonderous smile and hopped in the backseat with a radiant smile on her face.
“You know, this is the first time I’ve ever left the castle”.
“Really? You’ve lived their your entire life?!”.
Saber was astounded by the how sheltered Irisviel’s life was. She didn’t look her real age and was less than 20 years old.
“Grandfather forbid me from leaving but that all changed when I met Kiritsugu. He showed me all kinds of things from the outside world, but…”.
The woman sighed before smiling at Saber.
“But now that I have Caster, grandfather had to let me out! It’s thanks to him that I can see the world now!”.
The original plan was for Irisviel to go to Fuyuki to act as Saber’s Master however as the container for the Lesser Grail, her grandfather opposed this plan until he found out she had summoned a Servant, although by accident.
“Driver, stop the car”.
Saber got out of the car and went around to the other side and held out her hand for Irisviel to hold.
“It would be my honor to guide you around the town, Master”.
She blushed and took Saber’s hand and followed her down the street towards the beach, unaware to them of two Servants following them.
‘I have to report this to Master. Saber has been summoned by the Einzbern Master and-‘
A sharp blade was sent through the Assassin’s chest, causing its black skin to turn red and dissipate into motes of light.
The figure pulled out a modern day walkie-talkie and held onto a button and said with some level of disgust, “Master, this is the third Assassin I’ve killed. I think it’s definitely safe to assume that is has multiple bodies”.
A crack rand out and voice came through, “Yes I’ve had the same opinions. Especially if we count the one that Archer killed at the Tohaska’s house we must be careful that we do not let them run around the city. If even one of them remains it is a potential threat to me. Do not fail me Caster”.
I wanted to flip the bastard off right now.
Turning my gaze to the street I saw my Master and Saber linked arms as they walked around Fuyuki.
‘I really wish I was Saber right now’.
Changing back into my Spirit Form I disappeared from normal view and activated my [Presence Concealment], the unique Assassin Class skill that makes it normally impossible for normal Servants to detect.
Before I knew it, it was nightfall and the sun was setting over Fuyuki City. A lone figure was standing on the tip of a construction crane with a burger and a frozen drink beside him. The wind whistling at this height, however only helped the figure get a better view of the City.
Moving his gaze from the waterfront to the docks, the figure sighed and stood up, cracking his neck slightly before jumping,
“Maximum effort”.
He leaped from building to building not hiding his presence or body from others.
“Caster. Saber and Lancer have gotten into a fight on the docks, stay hidden until I say so”.
“Whatever”. I say before heading over to the Fuyuki bridge.
I saw two figures on the top of it looking at the interaction between the Servants.
“Oh? It appears we have company Master”.
A rather tall and lanky figure was holding onto the leg of a giant of a man. He had red hair and a red beard and was covered in Macedonian armor.
“Ah! Another Servant! Quick, Rider, get him!”.
Rider only looked as his squirming Master before looking at me with a smile, “Do you wish to join my army! I promise you riches and glory, unlike any you have ever seen!”.
I shook my head and smiled back at Rider, “Sorry Rider, but the only thing that matters to me is the safety of my Master. I couldn’t care less about riches and glory”.
The red head scratched his beard and nodded, “A loyal one. I would’ve loved to have you in my army back when I was alive”.
“Thank you Rider”.
Sitting down with my two feet dangling off the side of the bridge I take out my burger and drink and start eating much to Rider’s amusement and his Masters shock.
“Rider! He’s an enemy Servant! We don’t even know what Class he-“.
“Oh sorry, I’m Caster by the way. I would give you my real name, but my Master ordered me not to”.
Using [Reinforcement] on my eyes I saw that Saber had just been given an magical wound from Lancer’s Noble Phantasm.
“Ah? Diarmuid Ua Duibhne? That would be a challenging fight”. I say out loud as with my mouth full of food.
“You’ve already ascertained Lancer’s True Name, Caster? You must be very knowledgeable”. Said Rider sitting down beside me, his Master sitting down as well although holding onto his Servant’s cape.
I give him a nod and look back to the fight.
“Well Master! It’s time fore us to enter the fray! Come! Gordius Wheel!”.
Rider unsheathed his sword and slashed it at the sky causing a crack to appear and a chariot pulled by bulls to appear. Picking up his Master he gives me a quaint nod before riding off to the docks in a streak of lightning.
I smirk before feeling a voice coming from my pocket, lowering my mood.
“Caster! Finally, where are you? Are you at the docks yet?”
“Yes”.
“Good. Another Servant just appeared, if anymore appear substitute in for Saber and draw their attention away from her. She’s injured”.
“What about Irisviel?”.
There was a moment of silence before he replied, “She’ll be fine. I’ve got Maiya on standby if she needs to get a clean getaway”.
“Alright. I’ll get-“.
Before anything else happened a golden light filled the docks and a voice familiar to Kagami rang out,
“I am the only King that exists between the Heaven and Earth! If you can’t recognize me then prepare to die, mongrel”.
