Gaming Sword Magician - Chapter 173
Whittaker thought while gazing at the blood pouring out from the corpse of the wasp, and right after, he began to prepare for the battle against the Secret boss of the tenth floor.
He took out the Six Formation disks from his storage ring and held them within his hand. Each disk was small, round, and almost unnoticeable. They had the mana wall and flame wave magical rune design inscribed on them. This formation can be used to trap a beast and then flay it alive. After measuring the coordinates properly, Whittaker staked them into the ground and covered the ground with some leaves.
Mere seconds after he finished setting up the formation for the Secret boss, sounds of wings flapping suddenly began to resound in the forest as a group of flying-type magical beast rushed towards his location.
The scent of blood has successfully attracted dozens of beasts!
He used Devansha vision to get a clear view of what’s coming towards him. He could see around twenty wasps coming from behind the dense greenery in front of him.
‘I should half the group before they reach me otherwise it would be a pain to fight dozens of them at the same time!’
The Frost spell book materialized beside him and Whittaker quickly started shouting [Frost Bolt] and [Icy Blast]. Icy glows flickered out of the frost spellbook as Frost Bolts and Icy needles shoot towards the group of the incoming giant wasps.
Some frost bolts met their targets and crashed on their bodies while the icy needle went straight through the bodies of the wasps, impaling their heart and internal organs and killing them in the process.
By the time their group have been halved, only the strongest of the wasp were left. Angrily, the rest of the wasp quickly swarmed towards Whittaker who clutched the sword in his hand tightly. His eyes observed the tens of wasp charging straight at him with their stinger.
The reason why he hadn’t taken any actions yet was because he wanted to end this battle in a single myself. While observing the wasps coming closer, he began to pour some units of battle force on the attribute line of Blood Drinker to charge up a strike that will take them all down in a single moment.
The very moment when the wasps were merely 2-meters away from him, he brandished his sword outwards with all the strength he could muster.
“Three-Clawed Blood Slash!”
Three Scarlet beams of light then shot out from the sword held in his hand and rushed at the monsters, and if one looked closely, they would be able to see the image of a murderous wolf within the Scarlet beams.
Most of the wasps simply didn’t have any time to change their direction or dodge this attack. They could only use their metallic stingers as shielders but the scarlet light was too pierce and chopped apart whatever was in its way.
Most of the wasps were split into several pieces and dropped dead to the ground. The other wasp started to run away as if they knew they stood no chance against Whittaker. However, how could he let this bait go?
Frost Bolts quickly crashed on to their squishy backs, smashing their bodies and tearing apart their wings. Right after, they dropped from the skies, wounded and badly mutilated.
Whittaker walked up to the wasps that were still alive and gave them all a merciful strike which ended their lives in a single moment.
‹Killed 1 E-ranked Mutated Silver-stinger Wasp and 19 E-ranked Normal Copper-stinger Wasps. Gained 42 tower credits›
His total tower credits has increased to 44 points. Tower credits can be used to purchase various things that can also be used in the real world.
“Advance Guide, loot all of their corpses and bring them to me,” Whittaker said while looking at the corpses of the wasps sprawled on the ground.
Although he couldn’t absorb the essence of life from the magical beasts he kills, the monster tower was still a treasure field in his eyes. Under his command, the advance guide ripped apart the heart and beast cores from the bodies of the beasts he killed.
The heart of magical beasts stores the elemental blood which is used to draw magical rune designs. These wasps had Wind Type blood. The blood from their heart can be used to draw Wind Type magical rune designs to create a Swift Wind Talisman, Flight Talisman, or a Wind Slash Talisman. Each one’s useful and Whittaker wasn’t gonna hive up on what he has earned.
“This much bloodshed should be enough to lure the Secret Boss out of its lair. With the formation I have set up, it won’t be able to escape, no matter how agile it is!” Whittaker thought as he waited for the fish to take the bait. Advance Guide, on the other hand, continued to loot everything useful from the corpses.
Whittaker was sure that no other beast except the secret boss will come. It’s a simple conclusion to come up to. The wasps were E-ranked beasts and that’s the highest-ranked creature on the tenth floor. The lower-ranked creature won’t dare venture here because of the blood scent while the same goes for other E-ranked beasts.
They all possess basic instinct and knows that it’s dangerous. However, the Secret Boss is a prideful panther that is agile and has three types of abilities, it would surely come to feast upon the corpses and kill whatever’s gonna stop it.
“Anyways, even if other beast come, they will face the same fate of death under my sword!” Whittaker said in a merciless tone. His eyes burned with battle intent.
Just when the Advance guide looted all the corpses and returned to its master, a heart-shaking roar echoed from in front.
Right after, a massive figure charged out from behind the trees!
“It’s here!”
Whittaker’s eyes lit up as he saw the silhouette of his prey. It was several dozens of meters away.
[Magical beast; Three-Clawed Cursive Panther]
Rank: A E-rank magical beast with the power of curse and supreme agility. Its combating ability far exceeds 10-star beasts. Make a run for it.
Attribute: Darkness
Innate ability: Cursive claws, Swift pounce, Dark steps, enhanced senses, Strong Build Iron Furs]
This E-ranked Secret boss was around five meters long. Its pitch-black body was covered in fine furs that glittered under the thin sunlight peeking out from the treetops.
Surprisingly, its tail was shaped like a claw and shone in a dark metallic luster!
Even from several dozens meters away, Whittaker could still the strong pressure it exerted onto him. However, he remained calm and waited for the beast to enter the range of the formation he had set up especially for this occasion.
