Gaming Sword Magician - Chapter 209
A young boy with silky black hair poured battle energy in each of his steps as he leaped up from the base of the Rocky mountain trying to reach the mountaintop as fast as he could. Each of his steps was powerful but produced no sound. It’s because Whittaker has used the noise cancellation talisman.
He already knew where the members of the Blood Oracle Guild were camping. They were on the opposite side of the Rocky mountain that he is climbing. He was climbing the mountain from its back. Whereas, the members of the Blood Oracle Guild sat on the opposite side.
He chose this path because he knew that he’ll be noticed by the onlookers if he were to take the land route. However, since he was climbing the mountain from the back, the mountain itself acted as a cover to hide his movements.
He easily climbed the mountain at a rapid speed. The other low-rank battle master couldn’t do what he did. He was able to do this because of his self-created movement skill Ghost Step and his excellent control over Battle energy. Normally, a battle master needs to train for years to become proficient at using his battle energy. As a Devansha, Whittaker was able to control battle energy like a limb of his body, the moment he became a battle master. His control over battle energy was comparable to peak D-rank Battle masters.
The moment he reached the mountaintop, a serious expression appeared on his youthful face with handsome features.
“There they are,” Whittaker said while looking at the summit of the Rocky Mountain. At that place, dozens of Blood Oracle Guild members with deep scarlet name sat.
They were currently eating food and their guard was down. They didn’t notice the arrival of Whittaker. He was standing at the peak of the Rocky Mountain, after all.
Whittaker was gonna use this to his advantage. It is not a fool’s choice to attack when one’s enemy’s guard is down. Although some may consider it a disgraceful and cowardly act, he wasn’t killing good peoples but those who bullied other.
He pulled out the Ball of Devastation from his rankless ring of genesis. Holding the round ball in his hand, he looked at it with excitement and anticipation.
“It is all up to you now, teach them a lesson they won’t forget for their entire life!” He exclaimed before pouring ten units of mana in the activation magical rune design inscribed at the center of the Ball of Devastation. The ball will explode in five seconds. This, he then hurled it down as fast as he could by using around a dozen battle energy.
Whoosh!
In a mere second, the Ball of Devastation reached the ground. Also, it was perceived by many experts resting on the summit of the Rocky mountain.
“Eh, What’s this?” One of them exclaimed while pointing at the ball of Devastation.
The others also turned to take a look at it. They saw a round ball with many inscriptions drawn over it. It was producing a fist-shaped Scarlet glow which seemed to become stronger every passing second. The glow, which was more than a meter in diameter, quickly doubled and then tripled.
They did not know what this was. However, there was a look of shock and fear in Alex’s eyes. He only felt his heart shrinking the moment he saw the Ball of Devastation.
He couldn’t understand what a war weapon restricted by the military is doing here. He was cannon fodder sent to the world of flames ruled by Lord Agni. Thus, he had come in contact with war weapons such as this one. He clearly knew the deadly nature of the ball of devastation. As he thought of what happens when the ball explodes, his heart beats extremely quickly, and he started perspiring profusely.
“It’s the Ball of Devastation! Take cover!”
Although Alex was shocked to his very core, he didn’t forget to warn his guildmates. At the same time, he pressed his feet to the ground and jumped backward.
“Boom——” Before they could take cover, the ball of devastation blasted open. The fist-shaped glow scattered, and many thin, sharp red lines shot out whilst making a sizzling sound. Sixteen sharp Scarlet Death needles instantly shot out. Without looking carefully, it was almost impossible to detect them. The D-rank battle masters didn’t notice these needles. And only the C-rank battle masters were able to see the Scarlet Death needles.
Seeing a Scarlet Death coming to claim his life, Alex had a grave look on his face. As a C-rank battle master, he was unwilling to accept death so easily. A massive amount of battle energy rushed out of his body and created an energy barrier to protect himself.
“Chi!”
The protective round barrier around his body was like a balloon that had been pricked by a sharp needle. It instantly blew apart and the needle shot forward but it stabbed into a tree.
The little bit of time provided by the battle energy barrier was enough for Alex to change his direction. He shuddered in fear as he the tree being lit ablaze.
On the other hand, the Scarlet Death needless smashed into the chest of many experts with overbearing penetrating power. It formed very small holes. They were almost unseeable. They only felt a slight tingle as the thin Scarlet Death needle penetrated their body.
“Are you guys alright?” Chaim asked in a worried tone. He had used his B-rank shield to dodge the Scarlet Death needle. The surface of the shield shone with metal type inscription. A small hole could be clearly seen in this shield and it was burning hot. It’s just that Chaim did not notice.
“Yeah, I can’t feel any––Ahhhh!” Before Xavi could complete his sentence, an unbearable pain assaulted his senses and those hit by the Scarlet Death needles.
Three seconds after piercing their body, the Scarlet Death needle disintegrated and fiery energy spread throughout their body.
Whittaker saw a disturbing scene. Those hit by the Scarlet death needles trembled violently, their faces contorted due to the pain.
Due to the scorching heat, their eyes exploded in their sockets. Blood streamed down their cheeks, which was so hot, that the blood evaporated. As if lava was flowing inside their body, their bones, veins, and internal organs melted. Even the blood inside their body evaporated.
They shriveled up before their bodies were set ablaze. The pain was so much that they died within three seconds.
Their bodies pixelated and vanished, leaving behind a lot of treasures.
