Gaming Sword Magician - Chapter 224
Whittaker returned to the room and instantly sat down on the bed with an exhausted look while thinking of leveling up.
‘Use all the experience points to level up Frost Mage Class!’
He opened the character panel, and put all the experience points he earned to upgrade his frost mage class. He has not leveled up for a while and believed that since he possesses a total of 13500 experience points, his level will finally rise like a rocket. However, only 3500 Experience points were absorbed before Noah’s panel prompts brushed out like flowing water.
[Consumed 3500 Experience points]
[Frost Mage Class: 13»15]
[Gained 8 Attributes Points]
[Gained 4 Skill development points]
With a “Bee!” sound, Whittaker became a level 15 Frost mage.
Eh?
I still have 10000 experience points left.
Why can’t the Frost Mage Class be upgraded?
Whittaker has a lot of questions.
At the very next moment, multiple windows popped up to clear his confusion.
[Leveling up for Frost Mage class is set on a 24-hour cooldown period. The User can not level up Frost Mage Class as long as this period remains]
On the character screen, the same ticking clock appeared before the Frost Mage Class.
[The Guardian has reached the peak of Frost Mage class. Thus, the Frost Mage class can not be leveled up. The Guardian now needs to complete a Class Advancement Missions before you can progress your strength as a mage by using the character panel]
«Class advancement Quest Activated: Frost Bender»
[Mission Detail: The Guardian has mastered the frost mage class. The Guardian now needs to evolve his class to Frost Bender, Guardian of Frost, or Frost Morpher
Goal 1: Frost Bender: Open all your mana channels and create the magic body of Ice.
Rewards: Advance Frost Mage Class to Frost Bender Class.
Mission Progress: Mana Channels Opened 0/10
Goal 2: Level up Guardian of the night class to level 15.
Rewards: Advance Frost Mage Class to Guardian of Frost Class.
Mission Progress: Lv0/Lv15
Goal 3: Use 100000 Experience Points to Level up Frost Mage Class
Mission Reward: Upgrades Frost Mage Class to Frost Morphed
Mission Progress: 10000/100000]
Whittaker was provided with a clear goal to achieve that will then allow them to progress in strength.
“What is the best Class among these are. And will I get specific powers from advancing my class?” Whittaker asked.
[The best class among them all is undoubtedly Frost Bender. As for your second question, the benefits of the class are corresponding to their name. The Guardian powers will no longer be limited by the Frost Spellbook after you upgrade the Frost Mage Class. If Guardian becomes a Frost Bender then the Frost Spellbook will be able to sublime with Guardian and you’ll be able to use Frost Spells yourself by chanting, using hand signs, or merely thoughts] Noah explained.
Whittaker knew that the Frost Spellbook was a condensation of his talent related to his affinity with elements. It was given a corporeal form under the blessing of God. Although the Frost spellbook can cast Frost spells, he wasn’t able to. But once the Frost Spellbook sublime with him, his affinity with the element of Frost will return and he will be able to use Frost Spells!
However, he needs to first become a Frost Bender.
The Goals to become a Frost Bender were pretty clear.
Open all mana channels and create a Magic Body.
‘Luckily, I already have the recipe to create mana channel opening elixirs!’ Whittaker just needed to get the ingredients. ‘Tomorrow, I’ll ask Elder sister Nina to give me the herbs.’
He thought before glancing at the character screen and leveled up the Guardian class.
A total of 7000 Experience Points were consumed and the Guardian class leveled up to Lv2. He got 8 attribute points and 4 skill development points. Then, he glanced at the attribute points on the character screen. He had 12 attribute points but after leveling up, his attribute points have increased to 20. He was planning to increase one of his basic stat to 30 points to get a passive skill.
“Noah, which one is the best choice?” Whittaker asked.
‹Undoubtedly, all of them are equally important. Except for the obvious physical benefits, If Guardian increases strength to 30 points then you will gain a passive ability that increases your physical attack by 5% to a maximum of 50%. The attack damage increases by battling continuously. If Guardian Upgrade endurance to 30 points then you will gain the passive ability to decrease 20% physical damage and 10% magical damage. Similarly, once Vitality hits 30 points, the Guardian will gain a unique passive that will increase your maximum HP by a wide margin›
Whittaker only had 28 Attribute points. Upgrading strength to 30 points needed 25 points and Endurance passive wasn’t as important as the passive provided by upgrading vitality attribute to 30 points.
He still remembered how fast his HP drained while fighting against the Wind Drake. It only took one attack before he was down to 20 HP.
He decided to get the passive from upgrading vitality to 30 points.
[Consumed 20 attribute points]
[Vitality Increased: 10»30]
[Hp Recovery Increased: 5»10]
[Total Hp increased: 100»300
[The Guardian gained the Passive ability «Intermediate Health Boost»]
Whittaker was dumbfounded when he glanced at the skill panel and checked the description and effect of the new passive «Intermediate Health Boost».
600/600
“I possess more Hp than barbarian and magical beasts of the same rank! Whittaker was utterly shocked.
As far as he knew, he had not heard about any humans having more Health than magical beasts. Thus, he was amazed.
«Intermediate Health Boost»
[Grade: Intermediate Passive
Effect: The Guardian will gain 10 points of Health points every 1 point of Vitality points. Stacks over existing Health points]
Just by looking at the skill effect, one would immediately realize how powerful it was.
This meant that with the 30 Endurance Points that Whittaker had right now, he instantly gained 300 more Health Points to reach more than 500 Health Points. He had received a special type of passive which elevated his health points to 600 points from 300 points. The passive skill has doubled his existing HP. Furthermore, once he upgrades vitality, then he’ll gain more HP from the passive skill.
He had benefited greatly by increasing vitality to 30 points.
[Consumed 8 attribute points]
[Strength Increased: 5»13]
Right after, he poured the remaining experience points in strength. He could feel more powerful than a moment ago and he also has better control over his strength.
“If I keep on increasing my strength then there will come a time when I use Ghost step and leave behind no cracks on the ground!” Whittaker thought pleased with the attribute of strength.
