Gaming Sword Magician - Chapter 243
“Frost Magic: Weapon’s Fortress!”
As he loudly said these words, the spellbook materialized above his head, producing a chilling aura. Then, along with snowy white clouds, a mysterious cluster of symbols appeared in the clouds. The mysterious cluster summoned forth an enormous amount of ice, which twisted and bent, morphing into hundreds of weapons.
Weapons made out of ice materialized below the snowy cloud and produced a chilling sensation. The sunny day instantly darkened. The weapons were clustered together and seemed no different than a mighty fortress of over 30 meters.
This was Whittaker’s self-created rankless spell. He created this spell by combining the Frost Spikes magic that he got from killing Wind Drake with the Ice Shaping magic he learned in Zachary’s palace.
The onlookers watched with gaping mouths and wide opened eyes as the weapons fell from the sky like meteors. The shimmering snowy icy light blinded their vision temporarily.
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
The ice weapons ripped through the air and dawned on the 100 puppet circular arena at the same time. The ice weapons chopped and pulverized the puppets and continued to crash on the ground with an incredible speed.
Bang!
The impact created a resounding reverberation that spread far and wide.
“What just happened?” As their vision cleared up, everyone could see craters all over the ground. Furthermore, all the puppets have shattered under the assault of his rankless magic.
“I-It took him a mere second. A mere second… to defeat a hundred puppets!” the examiner chocked on his words.
Simple inconceivable!
How did a rank-D mage do what even a high-rank mage can’t do?
“Hahaha, this reminds me of the time you used Space Shatter to send the army of Abaddon packing.” Old Miller said. “I feel that this kid will end up becoming a monster like you.”
There was no need for consideration. The snowy-haired boy was just too utterly powerful.
“I know. But damn it all!” Headmaster said with conflicted feelings. “If I knew that he was gonna take this test, then I would have bet all I had on him.”
“How could you change side without any consideration?” Frankenstein said.
There was a limit to shamelessness. But it seems like Headmaster Yeon didn’t have any.
“Wouldn’t you too?”
“I still believe that Shadow’s performance will surpass every newcomer.”
Whereas, Lyon’s mouth remained agape. He didn’t have any words left to badmouth this commoner. Heck, even he would die under such an overpowered attack.
Whittaker, on the other hand, was feeling smug under the envy and awed stares of the onlookers. Not just the students and examiners, even his classmates and roommate stared at him with a gawking expression.
Except for Peter Chuck, everyone else in Whittaker’s testing group has taken the test. Peter Chuck was excitedly glaring at Whittaker while mysterious while and green symbols rotated around his mystic spellbook.
“My bet paid off, you were the most powerful indeed.” As Peter Chuck said these words, all the symbols turned green and rushed to combine with his spellbook.
Whittaker understood that Peter Chuck was talking to him, but he didn’t understand what he meant by his words.
“I know I am the strongest, but what do you mean by bet?” Whittaker peacefully inquired.
Peter Chuck winked in his direction as he lifted his finger to point at the sky.
“Frost Magic: Weapon’s Fortress!”
Along with his words, a familiar cloud appeared in the sky, hiding the shiny sun behind and sheathing the testing ground in its shadow. The initial surprise of the onlookers hadn’t died. Thus, the sudden reappearance of Whittaker’s self-created spell shocked them out of their wits.
A second later, along with a resounding reverberation, Peter Chuck defeated a hundred puppets in a single second.
To pass the test with flying marks, Peter Chuck had done the exact same thing as Whittaker.
Shocking!
This time Whittaker was among the ones who were astonished. After seeing Peter perform his self-created elemental spell, Whittaker couldn’t help but think about what Peter’s spellbook is.
“Okay, you can go and stand with the groups of students who had passed this test.” The examiner said.
Not just Whittaker, even the other students who passed this test were told to wait on the benches until all the students had finished conducting their tests. Besides, his friends were also there. Hence, Whittaker went towards them happily.
“Long time no see!” Shadow said.
“Yeah, we have a lot to catch up on.”
Whittaker greeted his long time best friend. To him, Shadow’s presence meant a lot. Shadow was the first person he went out to hunt, after all, but he also benefited a lot from his guidance.
“A job well done! I couldn’t believe my eyes for a moment. How could you summon so many weapons? Are you a high-mage?” Yato hurled his questions at Whittaker.
“Not really, I am still at D-rank,” Whittaker replied and turned to look at Peter.
“Nice to meet you,” Peter, who was sitting beside them, stood up and walked towards Whittaker.
When Peter went to shake his hand, Whittaker curiously asked, “Who are you?”
“I am your class president, Peter Chuck,” Peter replied. “I hope you are not angry at me for copying your magic without permission.”
Whittaker shakes his hand and replies, “I am not offended just surprised. Your spellbook allowed you to copy my self-created spell, right? What attribute is it?”
Whittaker had been on leave for months. He didn’t know much about the class President and his spellbook.
Peter Chuck looked at him and smiled in agreement.
“You guessed it right, but I am surprised that it is a self-created spell. No wonder why it was easy to duplicate. Before anything else, let me introduce you to my spellbook.” Peter summoned his spellbook before he pointed at the white book. “My spellbook is called duplicator. It’s kinda special type as it has restrictions different than other books. It can duplicate any spell as long their working is simple enough. Besides that, For now, my spellbook only has ten pages. It can only duplicate at most ten spells. But as my mana capacity increases, I will be able to duplicate more.”
Peter Chuck was the son of a Western Duke. Everyone in chuck’s family usually awakens a fire type spellbook, a water type spellbook, or a mixture. They are cultivated to their peak potential for the sake of serving the cities ruled by the duke. However, Peter seemed to be born from an entirely different gene, as he awakened a special type of spellbook. They didn’t have any knowledge about this spellbook. Thus, the Western Duke enrolled him in the Royal Frost Fall Academy.
