Get Back To You - Chapter 157 Anna's words
Seeing Lillian Grey’s attention, Anna continued without holding back. She, herself did not care about the consequences anymore. She wanted Lillian to wake up and realize things around her or else something severe might happen to hinder their bonds.
“I don’t know if its friendship or love, but it is something that you have to decide it for yourself.”
Lillian felt it in her core, ‘friendship or love,’ ‘friendship or something more than that.’
Before her mind gets indulged into analyzing that comment, Anna’s voice intruded once again, seizing all the sense inside Lillian’s head.
“If, and only if Giselle is someone who did not confess her love to you, or that revealed her true feelings for you, I would believe that maybe she’s your new best friend and I would remain quiet.”
“None of this would happen in the first place if Giselle is not a girl who likes you.”
Anna expressed herself, stressing the points she wanted to make.
“I’m not saying if she’s straight- or like that. Even if Giselle, being herself, didn’t confess to you and you reacted like this, I would have thought its only friendship and that she’s growing closer to you than me.”

“However, that is not the case.”
“Giselle has feelings for you, Lilly.”
“I think she still has those feelings for you.”
Anna’s words drugged Lillian as her eyes countered instantly. The clouded nameless emotions inside her eased when Anna uttered those words.
Lillian didn’t know how to process it; she struggled within. All of her sense drove crazy, making her susceptible.
“You have been there for her at her worst time,”
“You was there for her when she was in pain,”
“In her worst state ever,”
“I don’t think she could consider you as her friend after that.”
“I don’t know if her feelings would disappear just like that into thin air because what you did for her is something she can’t forget ever in her life.”
“I can say that for sure.”
Anna explained that Giselle’s love for Lillian would never cease and that it might become trouble for them in the future.
“I’m telling you all this now because you went as far to destroy Mike for Giselle.”
“I don’t want you two to go further masking as if its only friendship and nothing else.”
“I’m telling you all this now because I want you to think about it seriously.”
“I’m not going to question about your sexual preferences, that is not important here. What I care about is watching you two get so close to each other, and regret it later.”
“I want you to figure out Giselle and her influence in your life.”
Anna spills out it all open and loud enough for Lillian to hear.
After finish talking, Anna didn’t wait for Lillian to respond. She stood up and leaned to plant a kiss on Lillian’s forehead.
“You had a rough day, sleep for now.”
“Rest well, and let me know if need me, I’m here for you always, Lilly.”
Anna’s words bid farewell as she rides her way to leave the room. Before closing the door, she peeked inside.
“By the way, what you did to Mike is fair, to me.”
“He deserved it.”
“I’m not biased but the fact that he thought he could get away after committing such a horrible crime,”
Anna shook her head, fiercely.
“I will not say what you did to Mike is unfair at all,”
“Maybe Diego would have said it on a whim, but I won’t. What you did to him is completely justified.”
“So, don’t fret upon it ever in your life.”
“As someone who known you for a long time, I know that my Lillian Grey would react like that; even if I was in Giselle’s position.”
Anna says and then waves goodnight before leaving.
The minute the door shuts, without realizing herself, Lillian’s cheeks grew wet from the teardrops she suppressed for so long.
Ever since Anna started the conversation, Lillian remained motionless because it was hard for her to speak with all the clouded thoughts.
She, herself was taking time to figure out the mysterious feelings riddling her. Anna’s words pierced Lillian deep within and instigated her emotions. She controlled herself from getting sentimental.
However, the last few remarks destroyed the walls Lillian Grey built to conceal her sentiments. It broke her and made her tear up.
She didn’t make a sound, but her tears kept pouring down like a stream. Lillian flipped to her sides, turning her face away from the view.
Silently she let out her emotions out for the first time.
…
Mindy returned late. When she opened the door and saw Lillian on her bed, facing the other side, her loud movements paused.
Carefully, she came in and checked if Lillian was awake or sleeping.
“Are you sleeping, Lillian?” Mindy asks without raising her voice.
Lillian found whatever force left inside of her to react. She didn’t want Mindy to witness her crying. So, she mustered her energy and replied.
“Ye- ah.”
Though the words stammered, Mindy did not ponder upon it. Without asking any further question, she switched off the lights and went to her bed.
“Thanks- Mindy,” Lillian Grey replied to her kind gesture.
With the lights out, she can, at last, expose herself openly. Lillian didn’t move an inch but rested in the same position as her wet eyes finally felt the freedom to let it out.
