Get Back To You - Chapter 158 Let her sleep!
The fourth day dawned with students surprisingly waking up early. These past three days at the state park, some students got adapted to getting up early in the morning to relish the scenic ambiance.
Since it is the final day of the trip, most kids were already up; witnessing the sunrise with their friends, marking memories together.
Considering, it’s the final day of the trip, everyone’s mood did not mingle.
Some wanted to stay back and enjoy the environment.
Some wanted to return to the city.
Some became homesick and wanted to see their parents.
Some even wanted to go back to school.
The last day of the trip didn’t have any main event planned except for the night campfire. Hence, the whole morning is left open for the students to chill out.
**
Breakfast got served at 8 AM, just like the previous days. Since most of the students are up early, the eating area seemed to be crammed with more number of students, chattering and murmuring amongst themselves, enjoying the special breakfast provided by the staff.
Since it is the final day, the breakfast plate included fluffy short pancakes with maple syrup. It also included a variety of flavors like strawberry syrup, chocolate syrup, blueberry pancakes, and so on.
The students enjoyed them deliciously.
…
Anna and Giselle were also up early and thus, went to have breakfast together. They weren’t lucky enough to meet Diego or Lillian Grey.
Giselle frowned from not seeing Lillian. However, Anna consoled her by assuming that they might still be sleeping.
“Trust me we were informed that today’s event only starts in the late evening, so I’m sure those two are still loitering in their dreamland. Anyways, it is tough for the two to wake up now.”
“Come on, let’s get breakfast,” Anna convinced.
Giselle followed Anna.
…
“Oh lord, that girl, she’s going to miss it,” Anna groaned as she chose the pancake.
When Giselle inquired about it, Anna responded that Lillian Grey loves Blueberry very much and that she enjoys blueberry muffins, pancakes and pies, and so on.
Giselle snickered lightly.
“What happened?” Anna urged.
“Nothing,” Giselle warded off the topic.
After settling down, Anna glanced at Giselle’s plate to find a mix Blueberry pancake and the original ones. However, the blueberry pancakes were huge in numbers compared to the original ones.

“You like blueberry flavor too?” Anna asked.
Giselle didn’t raise her head but only agreed modestly and dug into her food, filling her mouth to avoid answering further.
Anna smirked within.
‘These two fools love blueberry too. I wonder how Lilly would react if she knows this about Giselle.’ – Anna controlled her smile so hard by filling herself with the pancake.
Seth appeared in between, receiving attention from all he informed that he has a sudden announcement to make.
Surprised by his entrance, the kids remained silent, allowing Seth to talk.
“I learned that there’s a shop nearby where visitors can get souvenirs.”
“Are you guys interested, to visit and check out the place?” Seth hesitantly asked.
Stunned from the sudden information, the students looked at each other and then soon started whispering. Seth stayed there for a while, giving the kids time to think.
Several minutes later, the majority of the students agreed to visit the store and get souvenirs in remembrance of their high school trip together with friends. There was a few who were lazy to join this activity.
Regardless, the students requested Seth to take them there. Getting a positive response made Seth happy, as he was uncertain earlier. Now he can go ahead and talk to the guide. Before leaving, Seth also informed the kids that it will be a short hike to the shop and that they should dress conveniently. He also stated the time to assemble downstairs, which is 10 AM.
“So we have more than an hour to get ready. That’s reassuring.”
Giselle commented.
Both of them agreed to the idea. Giselle appeared slightly happy inside as she kept throwing her most delicate yet blushing smile. Giselle face didn’t meet Anna’s and kept shifting.
Anna noticed it too. Instantly, her mind thought about Lillian Grey. Anna’s gaze switched to concern as she picked out her mobile and called Lillian.
No response.
Anna tried one more time and still no response.
‘She must be sleeping.’ – Anna thought.
She then sent a text to Lillian Grey and continued to finish her breakfast.

“Giselle, did you see my lavender color purse?” Anna asked while searching through her bag.
“It is next to your pillow.”
Anna searched the bed and found her wallet next to the pillow, just as Giselle said. Thanking her, Anna took her lavender color purse to finish her look.
On the other hand, Giselle already got ready before Anna and waited.
Once the two were set; Giselle asked Anna if Lillian is ready too. The question threw Anna a little.
After learning about the impromptu plan, Anna texted Lillian to know if she’s ready or not, but there was no response.
“I will check on her on the way, come on, let’s go downstairs and wait for the others.”
Anna said and escorted Giselle out of their room. She sent Giselle first downstairs, and then after confirming, Anna went straight to Lillian’s room.
She knocked on the door. Within a few seconds, Mindy answered and greeted Anna.
“Are you looking for Lillian?” Mindy asks.
Anna nodded, and she noticed Lillian in her bed, sleeping still.
Anna smiled at Mindy and then moved closer to Lillian’s side. She squatted down to check on her friend.
Lillian Grey; faced the other side and slept underneath the blanket. She was fully buried, under the covers. Anna gently removed it to find Lillian sleeping soundly.
Her soft breaths and shut out eyes told Anna that the girl was exhausted.
Watching her sleep so peacefully relieved Anna, she gently stroked her hair and caressed her cheeks. When her fingers accidentally came in contact with the pillow, she felt the damp.
Anna’s fingers froze at the moment, her relaxed eyes now worried.
‘Did she cry?’ – It bothered Anna.
However, she wasn’t positive about her prediction. Hoping that Lillian didn’t cry, Anna softly placed a kiss on her forehead once again and adjusted her sheets to let some fresh air inside.
“You are also coming, Mindy?” Anna inquired, seeing Mindy in her new outfit getting set to leave.
Mindy admitted.
“Well, let her sleep then,” Anna said.
Mindy agreed.
Anna found a nearby notebook to tear a piece of paper and wrote a memo to Lillian before leaving.
She didn’t want Lillian to get startled from waking up to find no one around. Anna’s memo will inform Lillian Grey that the students went to buy souvenirs.

When Giselle saw Anna coming down, she peeked behind aggressively.
‘She is not with her.’ – Giselle moped.
Anna reunited with Giselle said that Lillian Grey is sleeping like a pig and that she won’t wake up like for another three hours. Anna convinced Giselle that it is best to leave her behind to get some rest.
“We can buy her gifts and then surprise her at the campfire, okay?” Anna vouched.
Giselle agreed with a smile, but inside she felt as if something is missing. From yesterday, Lillian didn’t behave her usual self with Giselle. At first, Giselle thought it might be because of mood swings but not the case anymore.
Throughout the trip, Lillian Grey stuck with Giselle and spent time with her. Ever since that evening walk, Lillian Grey’s attachment grew more and more that Giselle’s heart would flutter secretly. Now that she didn’t see her or receive her attention, it troubled Giselle. She didn’t show it out, but inside it felt aching.
Without asking any more questions, Giselle joined Anna and the rest.

Just then, Josh and Diego arrived together. Seeing Anna and Giselle alone waiting, Diego signaled Josh and then went to join them.
Josh searched for Carmel in the crowd and found her with Sara and Ivy. His smile naturally appeared after spotting her. He resisted his legs, unable to rush to her side and snatch her away from her friends.
Their relationship grew throughout the trip as Josh felt genuinely happy spending time with Carmel. He loved her more and more, unable to part ways with her. This trip became special for those two.
Josh’s friends joined him yet, his gaze never left or wavered from Carmel. He quietly watched her talk with her friends from afar.
His bright, charming smile didn’t leave either. However, soon, he noticed Carmel’s face turns blue from something that Ivy said.
Josh’s brows creased from seeing Carmel become gloomy. It saddened him to watch her turn sad; as if his eyes reflected hers and mimicked them automatically.
Soon, Carmel and her friends changed places, and Josh tried hard to keep up with her location. However, he lost her from his sight within a few seconds.
Josh sighed, already starting to miss her. In the state of solitude, his friend’s voices reached him now. He sneakily joined into their conversation, distracting himself from missing her more.
…
On the contrary, Diego approached the standby girls. Anna notices him first and welcomes. Giselle turns to see Diego after hearing Anna’s voice. She smiles at him, greeting softly. Diego didn’t react but kept silently staring at her face. Soon, he saw the bewildered look on Giselle’s face. It is then, he reverted his gaze to Anna and then somewhere else. His perception failed him to give strength to face his friends, especially Giselle.
He gets reminded of Lillian Grey beating Mike for her, and it makes him mad. Diego didn’t like it.
Instead of swirling in the awkward silence, Diego asked if they are waiting for Lillian to which Anna responded ‘no.’ Diego’s gaze fell on Giselle for a second after learning about Lillian and noticed her skilled secret pout.
The fact that he could notice it made him angrier. Gently he nodded and then stood next to Anna without continuing the conversation.

Within a few minutes later, most of the kids assembled, and it is time to depart.
Seth, along with a guide, instructed the kids to stay together and then left the place.
