Get Back To You - Chapter 162 Robby sings!
“Do it, Robby.”
Seth’s voice broke in-between and surprised the kid and his friends.
“YES, Robby, do it. See Mr. Seth himself is requesting to hear your voice,” one of his friends wheedled.
“I wasn’t requesting,” Seth snapped with a smirk on his face that clearly shows he is only joking.
Regardless, Seth encouraged Robby, one of his students, to face his fear and use this chance to vocalize.
“Come on! No one is going to judge or anything. Let out your voice and sing, have fun with your friends,” Seth motivated Robby.
By now, Robby looked almost convinced, but still, there stood lingering nervousness in his eyes. Seth stared at him for a while.
“Alright, Robby, You will sing for us now, and your friends will dance for us to the music. Got it?”
Seth’s sudden revelation bought loud claps from the other students. Everyone joined in to encourage Robby, who is their schoolmate to sing for all.
“ROBBY” “ROBBY” “ROBBY” “ROBBY”
The kids cheered in a chorus, easing Robby to believe in himself. Finally, Robby stood up, receiving applause for his braveness.
“You guys should join him too, dance to the song. Come on, let’s go!”
Seth used his firm tone to order Robby’s friends.
They joined him as well.
“Come on, Robby, start the night with something sweet and fun music.”
Robby heard it from the crowded space. His mind instantly scanned through the playlist of songs he likes and lastly settled on one particular song.
U2’s ‘All I want is you.’
Shy Robby mustered all of his strength despite his stage fears and got into the mood. He opened his mouth and began to sing.
//You say you want
Diamonds on a ring of gold
You say you want
Your story to remain untold//
…
‘All I want is you’ is one of his most favorite songs of all time. His parents introduced him to that song and ever since he loved humming to it. He loves it so much to the point that even his anxieties won’t stop him from expressing his vocals via the melody. It is like the song got filled in his blood, so strong and with so much emotion, he sang.
The song talks about the untold story and the promises we make and break, from the cradle to the grave.
…
//But all the promises we make
From the cradle to the grave
When all I want is you//
‘When all I want is you’ – When Robby reached this line, everyone heard an unexpected strumming amongst the group.
One of the boys, who bought his guitar to the trip and even to the campfire, knowing that there would be music, started strumming to the song as Robby reached the chorus.
Even Robby got shocked, but he didn’t stop because the guitar boy smiled at Robby, giving him a gentle nod to continue as the strumming will do so as well.
Robby accepted as the kids around the guitar boy gave him the space to play freely.
Robby continued with the second verse.

It became a surreal moment for all to witness the beautiful and emotional performance given by two talented kids.
When the song ended, it became tranquil, everyone’s eyes widened in happiness, unable to express the moment.
Seth, himself looked astounded from the kid’s ability. He sang with such an extensive-expression, his deep raspy voice suited the song and even elevated its emotions.
“Robby and William, everyone” Seth announced after a few seconds of admiration.
Only then, the kids bounced from their surprised state. They clapped for Robby and the guitar boy, William. Robby’s friends, although it wasn’t a dance song, they moved to the music and had fun reenacting the rock band moves while lip-synching to Robby’s voice.
It was a beautiful start of their campfire. Robby’s friends congratulated him as well. As they sat down, the kids started calling Jamie’s name.
“JAMIE, SING FOR US TOO.”
Jamie, the girl with a magical voice, who is also the bassist of the school’s music band, received a lot of requests from her followers.
She looked at Seth and got his support.
“You have to sing for us, Jamie, go on!” Seth recommended her too.
When Jamie stood up, she got loud applause, including from Robby. He looked more eased after performing and is enjoying the time with his friends freely.
Jamie requested Patrick and asked him if he knows the song that she will be singing. They conversed for a bit.
By the time, Robby started singing, everyone arrived at the spot and joined in the fun except Mindy and Lillian Grey.
The kids got all excited for Jamie and were anticipating her performance. Everyone focused on her and Patrick.
…
Mindy hurried to join first. She saw Jamie and Patrick standing, whispering to each other mutely. Soon, Patrick began strumming, and Mindy glanced behind tensely waiting for Lillian Grey.
Just as Jamie warmed up her voice, Lillian Grey raced in behind Mindy.
“Thank God, Lillian.”
Both panted heavily from the running.
