77 Chapter 77: Protagonist’s luck!
After finishing their cup of tea they went to sleep shortly. Noah did not forget to place a few low level seals that would alert them if there was any enemy attack or something like that.
He was sure that he would be able to sense it even without the need of these seals but it would never hurt to be extra careful. It was the matter of their life and death.
The very next day they ventured towards the exit of the forest which took them quite a lot of time.
During their Journey Noah sensed a young man rushing in towards the direction of the cave.
Even though the boy was unable to sense them, they were able to see him from a far distance as he made his way towards the depths of the forest.
Noah looked at the boy with a curious expression before ignoring him.
“What is so special about the boy?” Xin Yan asked, looking at the disappearing figure of the boy.
“He was there during the time of the selection. At that time he was only at the Qi gathering Realm but now he is at the fifth level of the Qi Gathering Realm.” Noah explained about the boy and what happened at the selection ceremony.
Xin Yan was a little puzzled why the boy would choose to stay in the outer sect but shrugged it off as it was not her business.
“His sword is weird..” Noah commented as he did not get the good feeling from the sword. Shaking his head they continued their journey.
Before long they walked out of the Forbidden forest and saw the broad road leading to the next town.
He had already dealt with the ambush from the Soaring Heaven Sect, all that was left to deal with was a bunch of trash.
‘speaking of them, here they come~’
Noah watched as a huge aura suddenly enveloped the area. A couple of men came out of hiding and surrounded Noah and Xin Yan.
“We meet again~”
…
*Huff* *Huff* Yuan Ming gasped for breath as he wandered throughout the wilderness. With a worn out old map in his hands he looked around at the tall mountains in the distance and yet he seemed to be unable to find anything.
“Damn it! Where is that cursed cave? According to the map it should be around here and yet I cannot find it at all.” He once again looked at the map and then glanced at the stream of the river nearby.
“This is the stream that is recorded in the map but there is no cave as far as I can see…”
Sighing he moved forward and sat on the ground looking at his reflection in the water. The reflection wavered with the instability in water current and something clicked in the boy’s mind.
“Could it be that the cave is hidden by an illusion?” His expression turned one full of ecstasy. Forgetting all the pain and dissatisfaction, he hurriedly stood up.
“This could be the protective mechanism set by the owner of this cave but the real question is how do I find the illusion? I have no experience in arrays let alone illusion arrays.” Yuan Ming deflated as he thought of this and vowed to learn arrays once he returned. His eyes fell on the small pebbles on the ground and a bulb turned on inside his mind. He squatted to pick up a few pebbles and grinned.
“I am really a genius.” With his nose held high Yuan Ming started throwing stones in every direction aimlessly hoping to hit a bullseye.
An accident happened, while in his flow of throwing the pebbles, Yuan Ming’s feet staggered and his hand slipped, throwing the rock in the direction of the cave which was covered in the illusion seals that belonged to Noah.
If Noah saw this he would have definitely curse the gold sh*tting luck of the protagonist. But Noah was not The Mage God for nothing, as the stone collided with the wall of the illusion instead of passing through it as if it had collided against a rock wall. He left the seals because they were about to lose their energy… Even the seals that were about to lose their energy were enough to fool the protagonist of this world…
Yuan Ming, who had already stabilized himself, looked at the rock wall of the mountain with a weird look as he scratched the back of his head.
“Weird I thought this would be the one that is truly a cave but it seems like another dead end.” He looked down and continued, ” by the way what did I almost trip on there is nothing here ..?”
He shook his head to remove the useless thoughts and looked in other directions and continued throwing rocks.

“Ughh!!! Damn it! It’s not here I have even touched and felt all these rocks by my own hands. I even went as far as licking and sniffing them. There are definitely no illusions here.”
After an hour later, Yuan Ming yelled in frustration while wiping the dust and saliva off from the corner of his mouth yet he failed to notice that some of the dust particles on his cheeks disappeared without any trace like magic.
But there was one thing that was certain that these rocks do feel violated right now. If there were some kind of laws and rights for these rocks they would have all been violated. These rocks would have filled all kinds of cases against Yuan Ming.
It was not that Yuan Ming had a hobby of violating rocks, definitely not-, Probably~ but the point is that there was a reason behind his actions. Yuan Ming had a general information regarding these Illusion arrays he had been searching about the basic information of things like them because who knows when they might come in handy and save your life.
He knew that Illusion are like a veil that hinders the perception of five senses in human body
It tricks the mind into believing in what is not there. There were limitations to these illusions based on their levels. Like low level illusions can only block or hinder one of the senses.
Touch, smell, taste, seeing, hearing. These are the five senses that were also the reason behind the recent actions of Yuan Ming. While some advanced levels can block up to 3-4 senses at the same time. Yuan Ming believed that the one who set the seals here had to be an advanced array master so it should have blocked more than one of his senses.
The possibility of someone hindering all five of the senses never even came to his mind because that was impossible. at least impossible in the mortal world, if there was an array that was able to achieve such a level of precision, it would be only an immortal level array.
Immortals were only legends of the past in this world so there was no reason for Yuan Ming to even think of such a scenario.
“Let’s go back, it doesn’t not matter if I lose this blood essence, there can be more opportunities in this world besides I have this which can help me grow.” Once dispirited Yuan Ming suddenly cheered up and looked at the rust broad sword in his hands. He clenched it tightly and walked towards the exit of the area but he did not forget to use concealment technique. *Roar*
On his way Yuan Ming saw a huge spirit beast rush towards him. Yuan Ming’s face paled, realizing that the beast was at the peak level of Qi Gathering Realm.
“What the-” before he could curse his fate the beast pounced on him to attack him.
