Getting A System In A Modern World - Chapter 69 José Yusmairobis.
Chapter 69 José Yusmairobis.
The meeting abruptly came to an end but Silas knew that the group will never remain the same.
Immediately after the meeting ended, Silas received a call from Mr Andrés.
“Mr Silas, what do you mean by what you said in the meeting?”
Mr Andrés felt that there must be a reason for Silas saying what he did, and that’s why he decided to call. He wants to make sure that his golden goose doesn’t have any strange ideas.
Mr Andrés didn’t feel that Silas might have discovered his real identity. Even if Silas is to discover his real identity, he’s not sacred, because he has been doing a background check on Silas and from the information he got, he found out that Silas is a no name billionaire and someone that his wealth has no actual source.
Mr Andrés felt that Silas would be related to a criminal or terrorist organization that has grand ambitions.
Silas of course wasn’t unaware of Mr Andrés actions of doing a background check on him, as he was informed by LUNAR.
In fact, he was happy that Mr Andrés did because if he didn’t, how would be able to make him lower his guard.
“Mr Andrés, what do you mean? I just asked questions that members of your group should have asked themselves. Or do you really think you can fool everyone?,” Silas asked with a smile.
Mr Andrés could only sigh when he heard this. One of the things he wanted so much not to happen, finally did.
But it’s all good, now they can finally come clean with each other and see how they can come to an agreement that will benefit each other.
“Mr Silas, let’s cut to the chase. What do you and your group actually want? I want the presidency and you also want something from me,” Mr Andrés said, and the line went silent for a while. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
‘He seem to really want the presidency that much, huh?,’ Silas thought to himself with a smile.
“Mr Andrés, I want the country. Can you give me that?,” Silas asked with a smile, and the line went silent again before a loud laughter erupted from the other end of the phone.
Mr Andrés laughed so hard that he had tears in his eyes. He couldn’t help it, Silas’ request was extremely presumptuous.
‘He wants the country and I want its presidency. If we are to work together, am I going to become a puppet president?’ Mr Andrés thought of this and burst into even louder laughter.
Seeing Mr Andrés laughing heartily, Silas smiled and let him be. He didn’t want to break the old man’s grand delusions.
What Mr Andrés didn’t know was that he has also been played by the president himself.
The current president of Venezuela, José Yusmairobis, one of the members of the terrifying Black Hand organization, isn’t someone so gullible as to let such pests to be running around his territory, unless there’s an actual reason for it.
During his time at home, LUNAR did an extensive background check on every political figures in the country, and she was able to find out so many things that even Mr Andrés himself who’s extremely close to the president doesn’t know.
…..
It took a while for Mr Andrés to stop laughing.
“Sorry about that, Mr Silas. It’s just that I heard the funniest thing ever in a very long time. It’s been like since forever since I actually laughed sincerely,” Mr Andrés said with short bouts of laughter in-between his sentence.
The next moment, Mr Andrés burst into another round of laughter.
Silas saw this and shook his head, feeling sad for him.
‘This old fool is a potential psychosis patient,’ Silas thought as he shook his head.
Few seconds later, the laughing Mr Andrés was now choking on his own laugh and severely gasping for breath.
Silas smiled when he saw this.
‘It seems he’s no longer useful.’
Mr Andrés choking and gasping continued until a few seconds later, when he finally stopped breathing all together and a thud was heard from the other end of the phone.
Seeing this, Silas hung up and turned to look at his laptop.
“Why did you kill him?,” Silas couldn’t help but ask the man at the other end.
The man gave a smile and shrugged.
“He brought it upon himself. If he has kept his ambition in check, he would have lived longer. There’s nothing much to it. I just hate people coveting what’s mine, and it seems you’re one of them.
You want my country but my intuition is telling me that you’re very different.
Your identity is special. There’s nothing about you out there even though you’re not a member. How is that possible?
A background check was done on you and nothing was found. Even the CIA and FBI find nothing except your name.
Now, let me ask you again and this time, I want you to be completely honest with me.
Silas Kurt, who are you really and what do you want? What secret organization do you represent and what’s your reason for targeting my country?,” The man, José Yusmairobis asked.
“Yusmairobis, you’re very curious for an old man your age. Why don’t we do it this way, you will tell me what I want to know about the organization and I will tell you more about myself and my ‘group’,” Silas said, and folded his arms.
“About the organization? Do you really think a young man like you will have any equivalent information to exchange for it?,” Yusmairobis asked with a sneer.
“Come on old man, don’t hype the organization so much. Someone might think it’s the council of gods, when it’s only just a group for scared old men like you to hide under and use it to suppress the growing power of the 0.001% of the population.
Or am I lying? Isn’t that what Black Hand is all about? A gathering for the wealthy and politically affluent who are scared of losing their control over the world,” Silas said with a smile and the face of the President of Venezuela, Mr José Yusmairobis, stiffened.
