Gibberish - Chapter 3 Im I Tasty?
Scared? Hah,me? Of course not
First of all it was a planned escape. As soon as I saw those creatures start walking my way I sprinted as fast as I could out of there.
Why would I be talking in past tense? Well, let’s just say that at the moment I am not running.
Turns out these lemur lookalikes can run pretty fast themselves. At least faster than my not-so-in-shape body could. Don’t get me wrong, I am not fat by the definition of fatness but let’s just say the little belly fat did not do any good for my sprint.
Sadly, I have been caught. At the moment I am being handled like you would a sandbag. My hands and feet are tied and I am being carried by one of the lemurs.
My plastic bag? Well, I had placed a knot beforehand and it looked like they were unable to open it. It rested nicely on my pocket. Looks like they have some decency because at least they didn’t rip it out.
That would be wasting food and yet again, I’m not fond of that. It looks like they aren’t either by the way.
The boar looking creature was eaten to the bone in front of me by these two beings. That was while I was being watched hands tied.
This was better than the alternative though. At least I wasn’t being cooked straightaway like they did the boar. They probably thought I was a novelty and brought me back to show their friends.
Just imagining a village full of almost 7 foot tall lemurs spooked me out a bit. Did I mention they have razor sharp teeth?
Anyways, after being carried for half a day we finally reached our destination. Turns out I was actually learning from them. Well, these lemurs kept talking the whole trip so something has to stick.
Like any language you unconsciously learn the curse words first. More than once what seemed like their definition of mosquitoes bit one of them and they always spoke one specific word.
Kind of useless this knowledge but at least I know I can learn to communicate with them in due time.
Who I’m i kidding, I’m going to get eaten as soon as I meet their friends. Now that I think about it, I wonder how I would taste. Don’t get me wrong I’m no cannibal but I was curious.
For a while I was being carried face upwards and since it was nighttime already i could clearly see the broken planet in front of me. This brought up the question of if that was a natural occurrence or someone made that happen.
Just imagining the power doing something like that required had me amused, and scared. That seems to be a frequent occurrence in recent times.
Anyways, back to the village. It looked like you would expect a village to look like. Well, that is unless you take out the obvious structure not belonging to the facade in the middle of the base.
A big building appeared that seemed to be for storage. Besides that what looked like a square office made of the same metallic material as the storage building appeared on my view.
The difference between the wooden huts and the metal buildings rose up a lot of questions in me. It kind of felt like the movie Avatar when the humans started moving to Pandora.
Back to reality though, one of the 2 lemurs, the one that wasn’t carrying me called out to the village. To me it sounded on the same line of “honey, I’m home” but what do I know about their language. They might as well be saying “i brought the food” for as much as I know.
Yes, I was correct about my previous assumption. I wasn’t the shortest person measuring 5,11 but at the moment I was feeling like a little Smurf between giants. Almost all the lemurs that came out of the huts also had almost 7 foot tall builds. Even the shorter lemurs who I labeled as children were around my height.
Unlike the 2 white and black stripped lemurs that brought me here the rest were of varying colors. Some red, others brow, green, even a yellow one but no blue. Take that Avatar.
If their expressions are similar to humans they were showing delight on their faces. After dropping me on the ground I saw the lemur lookalikes creature starting to slap their tails at each other.
They looked to be having fun. I assumed that was a customary greeting around here. Hopefully they have the same look when they start talking about me. So, what happened?
Nothing, absolutely nothing. I was placed on a cage feet tied to a pole. Thankfully my hands were free. At least now I can shoo away the insects that kept bugging me during the whole trip. Hopefully I didn’t get their version of malaria on the way.
First thing I did was open my plastic bag and drink some water. I was overly thirsty after not drinking any during the time I was being carried around. The cage felt safe in a way. Yes, I was on a cage but st least I wasn’t getting eaten by a nocturnal alien creature.
I was trying to fall asleep. I needed sleep, badly. I have been awake for almost 24 hours since it looks like the little nap that brought me here apparently retained the tiredness from pre-madness.
Even though I was nervous of what was to come I knew that sleeping would be the smartest choice at the moment.
Getting ready for what was to come the next day. I wonder how long night time lasts in here though.
I’m trying to sleep really hard at the moment but this erratic though appeared on my head. I’m I really that untasteful? These creatures just brought me in and placed me on a cage without a second though. It kind of hit my self-esteem a little thought.
Just when I was about to fall asleep I heard footsteps. When I opened my eyes I noticed an old looking lemur staring at me.
How do I know he’s old? Well, he looks old. You know, wrinkles, hunched back and a tail that was falling downwards.
He gave me a look for a few seconds as if thinking and turned his back on me walking back to what I presumed was his hut
I was finally able to fall asleep. And just like that my first time sleeping on an alien world begins.
