..
..
I’m called Anna. I’m Grigorij’s sister. I’m 6 years younger than my brother, who’s 16.
It’s morning, and I am taking my breakfast while watching TV.
Today, on the news, they’re again talking about the calamity… Oh, and a forest fire.
I sigh… I still have to go to school.
Doom is coming but life never changes, huh?
[…]
All of my high school teachers are a sect’s religious zealots believing in some kind of holy tome talking about some kind of holy magic or similar.
It’s false occultism.
This sect says that their godlike pope is cleansing humanity and that only by going to the holy ground can some selected few pure ones survive. The others would go to the graveyard.
And so, all my teachers left to the “holy ground”, an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
I thus have no school at all and am sleeping until 4 pm every day (which is about the start of my morning).
This morning seemed like it would be the same… until I was woken up by two familiar voices by my ears.
Right: See? I told you, he’s sleeping at this hour!
Left: Humph…
Right: Let’s come again when he wakes up, it can wait.
Left: Ok, let’s go to that Inn again, you know, the one we went to last time.
Right: The Sleeping Curse?
Left: Yeah, I saw a succubus that hit my eye there, I’ll try my chance.
Right: You owe me a drink, so don’t expect me to leave you alone with your beauty!
The voices are getting further and further away then are disappearing.
I wait a minute, then open my eyes.
Floating above me are two small red devils, just the right size to be on my shoulders.
Right: Hey, kid!
Left: You didn’t think we wouldn’t know you were awake, did you?
Sigh… Life’s hard.
[…]
I went to my room to take my schoolbag and heard several voices in my brother’s room.
So I decided to take a pick.
And right now, I’m afraid. My hands are trembling to the idea my brother might have done something unforgivable.
-Brother… What are you doing?
