Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle - Chapter 49 Not Giving Up
Chapter 49 Not Giving Up
Franky had decent Exceptional Talent that allowed him to become a leader of a small group of Survivors.
[ Telekinesis (Exceptional Talent): The Survivor can move objects or people with their mind, as long as they are within their line of sight and not too heavy. The Survivor can also levitate themselves or fly for a short time. ]
With his Exceptional Talent, he could lift decent-sized rocks, wooden stakes, or even people as long as they’re only about 50kg.
According to the Regional Chat, there were actually quite a few people with similar talent.
However, most of these Survivors in the chat only had Telekinesis at a Rare or Uncommon rank. He believed that he was the only one with Telekinesis at the Exceptional Rank!
Soon, Franky lowered his telescope as he slowly climbed down the tree .
He then turned to his companions, who were waiting for his report.
“Did you see something? You look excited, Boss.” One of them said after seeing Franky’s expression.
“Did you finally find a girl? Ahem… I mean, food?”
“Hahaha! I know what you want, Max… You don’t have to suppress yourself with us.”
“Guys… Lower your voice. There might be another Jumper Zombie around.”
Aside from Franky, there were four other men, all armed with a small knife and a sharpened wood as a weapon. All these four only had Uncommon Talents like Quick Learner or Enhanced Senses… They weren’t special, but it could, at most, make them stronger than the low-tier Zombies.
Of course, it hadn’t been long since they followed Franky. It all happened when they were fleeing from the Zombie Wave a few days ago. They somehow worked together to get to the top of a cliff that allowed them to flee successfully from the zombies chasing them.
During the past few days, they had killed and robbed a couple of Survivors already. They were lucky that these Survivors were too exhausted from their recent Zombie Waves so they weren’t able to resist that much.
Since they already had experience, they were not afraid to do it again.
Franky smiled at them as they truly had the same mind. “Boys, we’ve hit the jackpot. There’s a bunch of suckers living in that estate, and they have a lot of stuff that we want. We’re going to pay them a visit, and we’re not going to be polite. There’s also a beautiful girl living there… We’ll kill all the two guys and spare her… Are you with me?”
The group cheered and nodded, eager to join him. “We’ll wait for the night before we move. We also need to kill their guard dog first…” Franky said as he also didn’t mind making it their next meal.
The group then kept planning their attack and soon, the night came. Franky’s group crept towards the estate, moving in the shadows. They were all armed and ready to kill… They found the guard dog outside the Church and seemed to be sleeping as well…
“Good…” Franky muttered as they slowly passed through the simple traps that were made for zombies.

In the meantime, Shane was awakened by a warning from Cloud, his A.I. assistant. [ Intruder Alert! ] [ Five adult human males have entered your territory! ]
“Survivors?”
His eyes widened as he quickly grabbed the gun that was next to him while he slept. He then asked the A.I. once again for the clarification and location of the enemies. As he checked his Map Function, he confirmed that these people couldn’t be detected as well. ‘Approaching us in the dead of the night… They’re up to no good.’ Shane muttered.
He alerted Harper and Leo, who were sleeping in another corner and because they were also alert, it wasn’t difficult to wake them up.
Of course, he also woke up Anna just in case something happened.
They soon grabbed their weapons and waited inside the Church.
They decided to ambush these people once they’d shown who they really were.

Franky’s group sneakily got closer to the dog guarding the door of the Church, which was the shelter of the Survivors they were aiming to kill.
Anna, who had noticed what they were about to do, held the revolver in her hands. Lucky was a loyal and brave companion, who had helped her survive many dangers. There was no way she would allow her dog to die! Grrr….
The dog sensed the intruders and growled, ready to defend its home and its owners.
“Tsk… It’s because you all smelled so bad that it woke up so quickly.”
“Just kill it quickly!” n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
One of them pounced at the dog and decided to kill it first. They can’t let it alert the Survivors inside. The others also drew their knives and approached the dog, trying to be quiet and quick. They didn’t even think of taming it and they only saw it as an obstacle or even a potential meal.
But before they could reach the dog, they heard the sound of gun fire!
Bang!
One of Franky’s men was shot in the head, and he fell to the ground, dead. A bullet had pierced his skull, ending his life in an instant.
This alarmed the others, who looked around, trying to find the source of the shot. They realized that they had been spotted, and that they were in danger.
It was from the window of the Church! They panicked and shouted, “Ahh! Wait! We’re not here to harm you! We’re just looking for some food and water! Please don’t shoot!”
Of course, they were lying, and they knew it. They were not here to beg for help. They were here to take everything by force.
‘How can they still have bullets after the Zombie Wave?! Is it being sold in the store?’ Franky couldn’t help but grumble.
His Survivor Store was opened three days ago after reaching level 5, and no bullets have been sold ever since!
At this time, the door of the Church opened, and two towering figures appeared.
They were Harper and Leo. One of them was carrying a hammer, while the other one had a pickaxe in his hands.
Franky knew that this wasn’t good but they weren’t going down without a fight!
