Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle - Chapter 51 Loot
Chapter 51 Loot
Shane knew about the existence of the Giant Zombie. He had seen it before when he tried going too far from his starting region.
At that time, the Zombie failed to notice him as he seemed to be heading to a different place. Nonetheless, Shane could never forget that encounter since he felt that it was some sort of a Field Boss that could only be eliminated with the help of many allies.
“Giant Zombie…” Shane repeated. They had to prepare for this.
After some time, he decided to kill the rest of the intruders, as they had no use for their shelter. They couldn’t keep them as prisoners or trust them as workers. They had no food to spare for them. Of course, he asked Leo and the others’ opinions this time to confirm that this was the right answer. Then, he didn’t bother asking Leo or Harper to kill them for him, as he decided to do it by himself.
He even used his hatchet’s Ice Effect to freeze their head in the process.
Thud… Thud… Thud.
All three bodies dropped to the ground before they could even scream and beg for mercy. ‘You’re unlucky that you’ve run to our group.’
Finally, Shane decided to loot them. He first looted the leader of their group, who had introduced himself as Franky.
[ Do you want to retrieve the loot? ] “Yes.”
[ You have earned 50 Experience Points. ] [ You have earned 1 Reputation Point. ] [ Loots obtained: 2 Item Upgrade Crystal, 15 Zombie Cores, 5 Bread, Revolver ( Uncommon ), Leadership Skill, Telekinesis Talent ]
[ You have reached the limit of Survivor Talents. Telekinesis ( Exceptional ) was not added. ] [ Do you want to remove one of your current Survivor Talents to accommodate the Telekinesis Talent? ]
[ Hint: You can only have 3 Survivor Talents, but you can check the Reputation Store occasionally, and perhaps you’ll find a Talent Expansion Pack! ]
“No…” Shane weakly replied.
‘Telekinesis… This isn’t too bad. It’s a pity I can only collect three talents for now.’ Shane commented in his mind since he knew that with such a talent, it would be a lot easier for him to rebuild his estate, and he would also gain a different fighting style! After all, he believed that he could wield more guns with such a talent!

It was a shame that he couldn’t take the Telekinesis with him.
Anyway, he continued extracting the other four. [ You have earned 30 Experience Points. ] [ Loots obtained: 1 Item Upgrade Crystal, 5 Bread, Revolver ( Uncommon ), Scouting Skill, Quick Learner Talent ]
[ You have reached the limit of Survivor Talents. Quick Learner ( Uncommon) was not added. ] [ Do you want to remove one of your current Survivor Talents to accommodate the Quick Learner Talent? ]
“No…” Shane answered once again before continuing with his loot. There was no way he would accept an Uncommon Talent. [ You have earned 30 Experience Points. ] [ Loots obtained: 1 Item Upgrade Crystal, 5 Bread, Night Vision Goggles ( Uncommon ), Observation Skill, Enhanced Senses Talent ]
[ You have reached the limit of Survivor Talents. ( Rare ) was not added. ] [ Do you want to remove one of your current Survivor Talents to accommodate the Enhanced Senses Talent? ]
“No…” Shane answered. After doing this, Shane looted the remaining two. It was unfortunate that their Survivor Skills and Talents were already something he already has. They were Fishing Skill and Axe Mastery for the Survivor Skill. As for the talent, they were Beginner Alchemy Talent, and Animal Whisperer Talent. They were something that Shane wouldn’t consider at all.
Nonetheless, he at least gained a total of 4 Revolvers in this process. He just needed to upgrade them so that they could use the .44 Magnum Rounds, and everyone in the shelter would have a gun to use!
After this looting session, Shane eliminated the zombies who had been attracted to the commotion that they’d made.
“I don’t think our shelter will last that long if that Giant Zombie really attacked us.” Anna replied with a serious note, as she could tell that even after they had worked together for a few days to create a decent barricade, it was still nothing compared to such a towering creature.
Luckily, there were only Walker and Runner Zombies, so they weren’t a huge threat on him.
After eliminating all of them, Shane returned to his party and shared what he knew about the Giant Zombie… He told them about the Giant Zombie that he had seen in the forest and how dangerous it was.
“We have to get ready for any attack. I need your help to create a plan… I need to hear your opinion in case we have to confront or escape from such a monster.”

“I think we can only escape if that’s the case… Unless we somehow found their weakness…” Leo paused after saying this as he saw the nodding response of the others. After giving a smile, he continued.
“I think that it’s impossible for a Zombie to become unkillable… I hope we can get a clue about it someday.”
Harper could only agree to them and promised that he would become a better fighter.
After this discussion, they worked hard, using their skills and tools. They checked their weapons, ammo, and created simple armor. They reinforced their fence and shelter and added more traps. For safety purposes, Shane also decided that they should scout the area. With Lucky, he scouted some areas that weren’t shown on the map yet… Nonetheless, during this time, he was also looking for signs of the Giant Zombie or other enemies. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
During the afternoon, however, the Zombies in the area would become active.
Shane’s party fought off the zombies that came to them and used them as target practice. They faced different types of zombies, such as Runners, Jumpers, and a few Spitters, from time to time. They killed them quickly and efficiently as they got used to their routine.
Finally, on the fifth day after the first Zombie Wave, the next inhabitant who was attracted by Shane’s talent arrived!
