GOD OF CRIME: STRONGEST MAFIA BOSS - Chapter 472 CH 458: TEAMING UP
Chapter 472 CH 458: TEAMING UP
BOOM~!
A reverberating and deep noise filled their ears as someone landed like a canon ball at full speed onto the ground in front of the duo. It didn’t take long for the dust to part and show someone coughing ever so slightly as they walked toward them.
He was seemingly a young man in his late twenties but Adam knew that he was simply young in appearance alone, not in actual age.
『 Name: Takoda Maka
Affiliation: Grey Wolves
Alias: Fledgling Alpha || Spoiled Young Master || Greedy Buffoon
Race: Shapeshifter (Werewolf)
Age: 60
Emotion: Complicated/Guilty/Depressed/Confused… 』
[Stats:
Strength: C
Speed: B+
Dexterity: B
Endurance: A
Prana: C+
Charm: C+
Willpower: C
Luck: E
Overall Combat Capacity: S
Remark: He is an alpha who only recently got access to his power. He has yet to master everything his power has to offer. Still, a long way to go until he can reach his full potential. But he does have access to a Phantasm Realm. So, be careful.]
Adam observed the new arrival with curiosity brimming in his eyes. Though he did not know the face, he could guess who it was from the information he received, especially the titles and the affiliation that was blatantly displayed on his information panel.
‘Is he the one who sent the party to kidnap Natasha back then?’
This was truly an intriguing development. The only reason why Adam had yet to attack the man who was the cause, albeit indirectly, of his death was the color surrounding him. It was a full-blown display of nearly 100% green color with only a few hints of yellow signifying his wariness. This guy was an ally and wanted to help them.
As for his stats, Adam was not too worried about them. The difference was not big enough for him to feel any fear from the entity before him and indeed the only thing he had to worry about was the possibility of his Phantasm Realm being strong enough to restrain and overpower him. Well, it was not like he could kill him but he still needed to be cautious, he could not waste any time if things were to go south.
‘I guess from the S rank onwards all stats are more or less meaningless in a way.’
This could explain why only humans at that level could face supernatural beings when there was such an overwhelming gap in individual stats. The Phantasm Realm could greatly diminish natural physical differences that divided the Earthly Supernatural creatures from the Hunters.
“Who might you be?”
Tsubasa asked quietly, her aura turbulent and vigilant as she asked said question. If Takoda proved to be an enemy or showed the slightest hostility, she would attack him at full speed and erase this being from existence.
Takoda frowned a little as he felt the clear hostility of the woman wearing a mask. Though she was not wearing her usual armor, he could easily recognize the mask that had long since become synonymous with death in the underworld.
“Ghost… Spider?”
He was surprised and could not understand why she was here at the moment. Though Ghost Spider operated in LA and was under the Hanekewa family, this was a problem of the Great Wolves and she should have little to do with it.
Shaking his head, he ignored her and gazed at the young man wearing a red suit with a long hem and a top hat accompanied by White Gloves and a Cane. The face of the man was slightly hidden by the hat but it was like there was a filter on the face, stopping him from recognizing who the man was.
He had the impression that he was facing a street magician right now but this was no pushover. The pressure he felt from the man was all-encompassing and the killing intent that the man was suppressing was not something the common man could show.
‘This is getting complicated.’
He sighed. Two hunters had moved to intercept the phenomenon. It seemed like the Association was more active than usual these days.
“I am Takoda. The new leader of the Grey Wolves Family. I am happy to see two great warriors such as you.”
He gazed pointedly at Adam, clearly waiting for a name.
“Call me The Red Magician or just The Magician will suffice as well.”
lightsΝοvel.cοm The voice seemed to be male but he had a hard time deciphering the age or exact gender of the person due to the powers he used to mask them.
‘What a throughout disguise.’
This was beyond what he expected and he was starting to wonder if he would be needed at all in this place.
“I thought the Grey Wolves and Great Wolves were on the verge of war?”
Takoda gave a bitter smile in response to the hostile question, “I have erred and caused this situation which is why I was coming to make peace or at least ask for it and settle for the best path. I could have never imagined that something like this would happen.”
Takoda was very compliant. This was not his territory and he knew very well that being belligerent currently would only create more friction for them. This was not his goal and he did not wish for this to happen. He had enough of the life of a joker who couldn’t see things properly, or rather, refused to. He had gained clarity, and it was time for him to use it.
“I came in peace and I wish to help.”
“Help… huh…”
Takoda didn’t know why, but he had a very bad feeling as he saw the two hunters share a glance before looking at him.
“You can deploy a Phantasm Realm, right?”
“… Yes…?”
‘Perhaps I shouldn’t have come to help?’
He wondered feebly.

Los Angeles was in chaos… once more…
This night should have been a night like any other but starting with a large sound of unknown origin that rattled the entirety of the city, things were slowly going from bad to worse in real time.
Firstly, the shockwave created by the roar caused the windows of many skyscrapers to literally explode and shatter into millions of pieces, causing shards of glass to literally cover everywhere, wounding people in their offices, and falling on the ground, wounding even more passersby.
That wasn’t the end to the slew of destructive events that shook the whole of LA. Cars had not been spared and already, many road accidents could be counted, easily going past the thousands at different places.
The number of wounded was increasing exponentially and there was not much people could do about it as they didn’t really know just what was going wrong.
The firefighters and the forces of law and order were out at full force to contain the situation and bring help to all those they could but it was not easy for them to cover everyone.
More than anything, the harsh weather was creating problems for them.
It had only been a few minutes since the weather took a sharp turn but the temperature was already going toward the negatives and continuously falling at a steady rate.
Rescue trucks could not go at full speed because of the fear of crashing and the lack of staff was starting to show.
But all of this— was nothing compared to the true problem.
“Holy Father may you bring peace to those miserable souls.”
A pink-haired woman wearing a white robe and holding a golden cross sighed as she looked around her.
More than twenty corpses fell all around her as though the strings that were making them function had been cut abruptly, making them unable to move any longer.
Her expression though was anything but relaxed.
She had rushed as fast as possible with the priests when notification about undead zombies rising from their graves had been sent to her but now she realized that the reports had been wrong on one thing.
If they had been simple undead zombies then Elysia would have been happy. After all, while they could be strong, a novice exorcist could easily dispatch zombies, and hunters with weapons dipped in holy water could fight them as well.
But those weren’t simple undead. They were—
“Draugr…”
She frowned even as she spoke out that word. The situation was bad and when she said bad she was not joking or exaggerating things here.
Draugr were undead from Norse mythology and they ranked very high in the undead hierarchy. After all, not only did they have superhuman physical strength, but what made them a pain to deal with was the fact that they had access to magic and could enter the dreams of the living and even send curses and the likes…
They were in a way equal to weak vampires and quite beyond the capability of a novice to deal with.
“Saintess. What do we do? Some of the undead escaped through the earth.”
She fought the urge to curse. This was another reason why those undead were a pain. They were relatively smart and could move through the earth as they wished. This was an absolute shitshow.
“Do you know where they are all going!?”
She raised her voice and the priest pointed in a direction.
“Beverly Hill.”
Elysia sighed.
This was the third time.
The worst was that— she knew that there might be at least a fourth time of such catastrophe incoming in Christmas, if not more…
(AN: Things are advancing fast. Not easy but heh. Vol 7 is slowly coming to its end. Let’s see how all of this finish.)
