GOD OF CRIME: STRONGEST MAFIA BOSS - Chapter 485 CH 471: OBSERVER OF FATE
Chapter 485 CH 471: OBSERVER OF FATE
What did it mean to be given the title of Satan? To be known as Satan?
Unlike what many believed, Satan was not the name of a person. Nor was it designed for only one person in the first place.
Satan was basically a title, a denomination, an alias given to certain people— the kind who broke all known common sense that had been established since time immemorial; the rules that bound existence.
They were the kind of people who could do the impossible. That could make the improbable probable; capable of breaking the unbreakable and going beyond the limit set even by the very world itself. They were the singularities that appeared once in eons.
In the long history of the entire universe, the number of people with this title was pitifully small. The amount was so low and so insignificant that their existence itself could have been said to be non-existent… if not for the existence of Samael. The original Satan.
Every time such an existence came to be, it would be deemed as the sign, the precursor of a great upheaval— a millennial war that would shock even the heavens itself. It was an apocalypse that even the gods could not escape from. A causality event that would sweep through the entire universe and restructure everything and everyone, bringing a new order and a new age for the entire universe.
They were dubbed as the Adversaries. They were the Rebels. They were those people who fought against the assigned Fate of the world, the fate of their existence— the path they were set to walk even before they gained sentience. They broke through the shackles put on them by the universe without giving them even a second glance; like they were nothing of importance.
The birth of a new Satan should have shocked the entire universe and turned it upside down. It should have been like a wave sweeping past anything and everything, forcing even those slumbering for innumerable eons to wake up in fright and ready themselves for the Millenial War.
But this time— because of many superimposing factors, only a select few individuals were able to sense the birth of the man who might bring a new era of chaos to the entirety of existence.
Only those who were directly related through the Karma of this causality event could hear the whisper of the world as they were chanting and dreading the arrival of the one who would lead this era toward the realms of destruction and rebirth.
This might have been a coincidence or this might also be Fate or perhaps simply been luck.
It was truly hard to say with the players involved.

[Library of Akasha — Akashik Records]
Sitting close to the fire inside her small room, Eve trembled ever so slightly as the words in the book she was reading became extremely blurry and practically unreadable. It had become so obscure and veiled that she had to put in an astronomical amount of effort to lift the veil and decipher the events that came to be, transcribed in the book that showed her the records of existence.
Even so, even without reading further, she was able to understand what had happened and for that very reason— she was astonished beyond belief.
“It looks like your careful preparations were partially destroyed in the most comical way possible.”
Sitting next to Eve was a young girl, looking nothing more than a 10-year-old girl. Her brown skin seemed to be glistening under the light of the fireplace and her youthful voice brought joy to the heart of the listener. However, only a look at her golden skin showed that the one speaking may look like a child but was anything but so.
Eve was not the only one who had to pay a price for the current situation to be achieved. She sacrificed a great amount of Karma for their scheme to be put into reality and this was the result of that over-exertion.
One might be confused regarding the contrast as to how she was becoming younger while Eve grew older and older. But this was inherently due to her constitution. The younger she was, the less energy she could handle, weakening her terribly along the way and making the situation complicated for her overall. These were all bindings that the laws of Causality and Karma had devised to punish them for their transgression.
“So. What will you do now? It seems like reading the future will be quite hard for you.”
Eve sighed heavily and closed the book before shaking her head and responding, “In the first place I do not read the future. I have never been able to read Adam’s future from the very start. He had always been a singularity. All I could do was watch his present and deduce and devise with that as the base.”
“So how did you plan everything?”
“As I have mentioned, since I am unable to see his future, I can only anticipate, deduce, and devise with the present as the base and then contrast it with the future that should occur without him in the equation. Sigh~
“Adam’s existence messes with the axis of time and even reality. So all I can do is observe futures where the being, Adam Gospel was never born and make my deduction based on those events and the concurrent present that Adam brings forth. Though, this too is becoming harder now that he went and did that.”
The stronger Adam grew, the more unpredictable he became. Initially, her plan for this adventure had been to grow Adam’s curse and make it stronger, reaching the point where he could stay 100% conscious and fight even when he was theoretically killed or was in a state of death.
Once this happened, one of his greatest weaknesses would be completely erased, and putting him down would be very difficult if not impossible without outright sealing him somewhere with no means of unsealing him.
“Adam became an Adversary of Fate.”
Eve intoned with an expressionless face and Lilith whistled quietly. This was indeed a piece of shocking news but Eve could hardly find it in herself to be happy with said news.
If before, once Adam’s true identity was discovered by the various forces of the universe, he still had a way out by proclaiming to have never met Cain in his life and not knowing his existence.
While there might still be a chance of people chasing after him to kill him, there was no denying that this could also save him from the involvement of the true mighty figures of existence.
But now—
“Once they learn of it, they will do everything to capture him. No matter what the cost.”
“Well. In the end, nothing much changed, right? He is still going to get chased to the ends of the universe.”
Eve stopped worrying once she heard Lilith’s simple view on the cumbersome matter she stumbled upon. But she had to admit that it was veridic and simple to understand.
In essence, nothing much had changed for them with the addition of Adam’s new title into the fray. This was why, rather than worrying about the past, she had to plan more for the future ahead. It would be dreary and extraordinarily difficult due to the current circumstances, but she had to persevere.
“Though… He might have started hating you already, you know?”
“… I do.”
Eve stopped speaking and leaked out a tired sigh. She didn’t say any hypocritical things like it was for his own good. Though it was indeed done with good intentions in mind, there was undeniably a small part of selfishness on her part in leading him on this path.
A desire born from her dearest wish to see her family reunited in every meaning of the words.
Nowadays, all of them were suffering a great injustice out there.
“Perhaps Adam becoming a Satan is a good thing overall.”
“Even though you are slowly losing control over him?”
“It’s even better because I don’t have any control.”
The smile on her face was one filled with resignation.
She had never planned to observe Adam for long. She knew very well that the more she interfered in his life, the more resentment Adam would bear toward her, even if hidden.
These feelings of resentment might even explode and end up leading to an event that was similar to what happened between Cain and Abel. But while she may have other options in hand, what she was doing was undoubtedly the most efficient path toward reaching her goal and helping Adam on his path.
Fundamentally, Eve was merely a Guide. Someone who showed the way to those who were lost. But whether the person accepted to walk the way or find a better way for themselves was not something for her to meddle with. It was entirely up to them to decide.
“You are so calm. I envy you for that.”
“You should not. In my eyes, you are also part of my family. This is why we are working together in the first place. This is why… I even asked for your help…”
“Family… Huh…”
Lilith did not bother continuing on this trail of thoughts. In her eyes, it was utterly worthless. She had long since buried the meaning of Family in her heart as her children were mercilessly slain for her own hesitation to rebel against her assigned Fate.
In a way, she was even more envious of Adam now than she was of Eve. At the end of the day, Eve was a failure like her. A rejected being who had to claw her way back by fighting tooth and nail against the will of the universe.
She was a prisoner tied down to a gilded prison she could not escape from and even now, with all her plans, her chances of success were extremely low.
‘Not so low now though.’
With Adam becoming a Satan, it was no different than creating chaos in a perfectly organized world. Everything was possible now, even things that were considered impossible due to the rules that governed and bound this pitiful dreg called existence.
‘I wanted to slowly get closer to him. But now I have to change my plans.’
Eve may have scruples in using Adam and only guided him toward a set path. But she had no such thoughts or scruples holding her back.
She calculated quietly, not knowing that Eve was looking at her with a small smile tugging the corner of her mouth.
Eve had been planning for eons already. How could she not have taken Lilith’s nature into account? Everything was clear to her, she could see everything and every path that Lilith could and would take.
‘Whatever she does now will be beneficial for Adam.’
She sighed. It was getting tiring. Planning was so very tiring.
She never had a fondness for such things even though she was practically born with these gifts. All she wanted to do now was to lie down and watch some anime or read some manga.
Truly, a divine creation those things were. There was no alcohol or drugs in existence that had the potency to affect her. But those things were simply on another level— the only things that helped her escape her tiring and despondent reality, even if for a short instant.
“Either way. Now I need to prepare myself for a few visits.”
“Visit?”
Lilith was taken aback but then she understood what she meant by those words. Thanks to Eve’s cloaking of the events using vast amounts of her Karma, the power of the Book of Genesis, and Fenrir’s Pseudo Divine Realm that had been deployed with Natasha’s awakening, Adam’s newest achievements were not broadcasted throughout the entire universe.
Even so, a few individuals tied to him through the threads of Karma would still notice the change he went through.
“The Prince of Lust?”
Asmodeus was perhaps one of the very first super-entity Adam had to face and while the link between them was relatively small it was still something worth noting.
After all, the birth of a new Satan would directly affect the power structure of Hell and there was no way Asmodeus would let that go quietly, even more so with how weakened he had become currently.
“It will not be a problem. Though Adam obtained a part of his powers, I was able to destroy the link by tying it to you and me. He will only feel Adam growing fainter now and nothing more.”
Eve dismissed her question firmly with a wave of her hands. She may not have anticipated that Adam would become a Satan but there was no way she would let a large Karma link exist between Adam and an entity that would become his enemy later on.
“Obviously there will be Cain. However additionally, The Prince of Lies, the Archangel of Death, Shakyamuni, and finally — The one who is most likely to come running to me…”
She did not finish her sentence but Lilith sneered and cackled like a witch as she understood what kind of big fish Eve had been trying to catch all along.
“Oh my, you devious little bitch.”
“Coming from you I will take that as a compliment.”
“You should. After all, if everything works out, he will surely come. This is his only hope after all.”
“— The One-Eyed All-Father.”
Lilith laughed even more. She couldn’t wait to see the face of that old man, who always acted as if everything was according to his expectations. As though he was omniscient.
This was going to be entertaining, to say the least.

(AN: Guys! I need help, please. Here is My new story: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/76472/cosmic-fairytale-sea-of-stars-a-science-fantasy.
Some of you may already have seen it on Patreon here or in my previous annonces. The previous name was Space Odyssey: A Journey through the Star. Now it was renamed as Cosmic Fairytale: Sea of Stars.
So, guys, why do I need your help? Well, I am posting this story on RR now and I need a little boost on your part. Even if you are not already reading SoS, please come and help me by going to Royal Road and leaving a review for this story or simply following and favorite.
I am asking all this as an author who needs help. SoS is my new project and I want to keep it free and independent from WN. For that, I need it to work on RR and any little help from you guys can help boost the story far higher. I am currently ranked 11th in the Rising Stars section of sci-fi and I am sure we can do more. So come and help me. It will only take you a few minutes and it’s free.
Here’s what you need to know about the story, though check the synopsis too.
The story is a Science Fantasy. It’s like a sci-fi adaptation of old fairytales we know about but happens in space. For example characters like Snow White, Pinocchio, Cinderella, and even stories like Thousand and One Nights. It’s a mix between Mecha/Super Power/Space Opera Adventure. The mecha part is partially inspired by Gurren Lagann and Code Geass.
Mc’s name is Noah. If I had to explain in simple terms, his personality is a little like Gojo from Jujutsu and Kamina from Gurren Lagann. As for his power, outside of Mecha, without too much spoiling you can add that he has something like Venom a symbiote.)
