Godlike Player in a Game-Like World - Chapter 280: High Being (part 2)
His skeletal structure had, without a shadow of a doubt, become more robust, and he had the overarching impression that his body had become more nimble.
“Have my strength and agility stats increased?” Raydon pondered, contemplating the changes he could perceive.
He felt an overwhelming surge of vitality throughout his entire body, and he had the distinct impression that his mental capacity had also increased at the same time. In spite of this, the transformation that had the most significant impact on him was without a doubt the increase in his physical strength.
“Water Mirror,” Seren invoked a skill, capturing Raydon’s attention before he could inspect his character panel.
“Take a look for yourself,” Seren urged.
This was normally a defensive skill with the ability to reflect back attacks, but it was clear that she frequently used it for other purposes, and when she saw Raydon’s curious expression, she wanted to help him see his reflection in a mirror.
“Thanks,” Raydon, who was also perplexed as to why everyone had been so taken aback by his appearance, looked into the water mirror in front of him and began curiously examining himself.
‘Holy…. I look pretty handsome,’ Raydon muttered, momentarily surprised as he caught sight of his reflection.
In fact, his appearance hadn’t changed all that much in comparison to how it was before, but each and every feature on his face had become flawless as if it had been meticulously crafted.
Alongside his flawless and vibrant fair skin, Raydon’s silky hair cascaded with shades of gray, gracefully framing his face and adding an alluring touch to his already perfect features. However, the most captivating feature lay within his eyes.
Deep within his dark pupils, a smoky gray cloud seemed to be churning, as if it were yearning to break free and envelop his adversaries. Those who were there couldn’t help but get the impression that they were looking at an ancient immortal being rather than a simple human being.
The most noticeable change, however, was in Raydon’s physical appearance, particularly his body. The once unremarkable white T-shirt was now clinging to his body, drawing attention to the carefully sculpted muscles that were now commanding everyone’s attention. Every detail was accentuated, showcasing their remarkable prominence and revealing the incredible strength that resided within him.
In a similar manner, his blue casual jeans, which used to fit loosely but now clung tightly to his legs, highlighted the powerful muscles that lay beneath them. It was obvious that not only had his newly discovered strength altered his physique, but it had also enhanced his physical capabilities.
The shapes of dragon scales that he had obtained through his body enchantment remained the same, and they were hidden beneath his T-shirt. They covered his chest and neck like an entrancing light gray tattoo, looking like exquisite embroidery.
Raydon muttered, “Looks like I’ve grown a little taller too,” when he realized that he had also gained a few inches in height and that he now stood just slightly taller than six feet in height.
“Did you notice the other change?” Samuen inquired, addressing Raydon, who was deeply engrossed in his reflection in the mirror.
“The other change?” Raydon finally shifted his attention from the mirror to Samuen, eager to understand.
And the moment he saw Samuen pointing at the broken gate, he had an immediate comprehension of what Samuen had intended to convey.
“The presence coming from the gate has disappeared?” Raydon was taken aback when he realized that the unsettling presence of the Observer, which had been emanating from the gate earlier, was no longer there.
“When you vanished and reappeared, the presence that had been emanating from the gate dissipated in an instant. But…” Samuen hesitated for a moment, his eyebrow raised in thought. “Now, another presence similar to that has filled the environment.”
“Another presence? Wait… is it coming from me?” Raydon gave himself a momentary pause, and then, after some reflection, he realized what was really the cause of everyone’s shock.
“Indeed. It is not the same as the presence of the Observer, and in contrast to that presence, the presence that is emanating from you does not bother us in any way. However, I can confidently say that it is no weaker than that entity,” Diam confirmed.
They didn’t consider the pressure they felt from Raydon to be oppressive or bothersome in any way, and unlike the pressure, they felt from the Observer, it didn’t wash over them like a wave. Instead, they perceived the pressure that Raydon exerted as being more like a light breeze, which bestowed upon them feelings of ease, safety, and trustworthiness.
“It seems you have truly become a high being,” Samuen exclaimed, his delight evident in his laughter.
After reading the diary, which details the history of how Raydon was created, he, too, experienced some uncertainty and did not unquestioningly believe everything that he read. But as he considered Raydon’s aura, he understood that he had indeed evolved into a high being, fulfilling the reason for his creation.
They were overcome with an even greater sense of joy and contentment when they realized that the reason Raydon’s presence had a calming and reassuring effect on them was due to the fact that they were of the same race.
‘I’ve become a high being? ‘ Raydon was taken aback by this revelation.
Even though he had no idea what other advantages came with being a high being beyond the natural pressure he exerted on members of other races, it was still pretty cool to have the feeling that he was unique.
‘Oh, I should check my character panel. ‘
After finally overcoming his confusion and mental stress entirely, Raydon made the decision to get out of his fantasy world and do the thing he needed to do at the beginning: open the character panel to see what changes had been made.
“Holy shit…” he exclaimed in awe, realizing the extent of his transformation.
With a wide, childlike smile on his face, he said, “Now everything is starting to get more fun.”
