Godly Talent System - Chapter 58
The Mission Hall was a building where all the missions that the Sect assigns are placed at. This is where disciples are able to choose their missions according to the missions that were put up on display.
This was also where disciple could create missions for other disciples to complete, and of course, it had to come with the sufficient contribution points as the price.
The missions here were graded with Stars, with 1 Star being the lowest, and 5 Stars being the highest.
There was an Elder who was in charge of this place. Anyone who wanted to receive or create missions had to go through him.
“Elder Cang, this is some things that I have found along the way. I would like you to have them.” An inner disciple passed some crystals to Elder Cang and respectfully said.
Elder Cang hurriedly stuffed the crystals into his pocket, while chuckling, “So you are Che Yun. I have some good things about you.”
He then pulled out a few mission slips that were all graded 1 Star and placed it in front of the inner disciple, gesturing for him to choose amongst them.
A relieved smile appeared on the inner disciple’s face, and he quickly chose an easier ones among the 1 Star missions and thanked Elder Cang before he made his way out.
No one within the mission hall was shocked by this small exchange that occurred, as if it was some hidden rules within this place.
Although disciples were able to choose their missions, the Elder could also make use of his authority to issue some difficult missions of them to complete.
This was why most inner disciple all knew to give Elder Cang some small advantages here and there to ensure that their missions were easier.
Missions did give contribution points, but this was if you were alive to get them.
Nobody would want to end up with a hard mission, and end up either dying in the process of completing it, or giving it up and receiving a harsh penalty because they were unable to complete the 1 daily mission per month requirement.
Long Chen revealed a disdainful smile when he saw this, but he did not bother about it. As long as this Elder did not provoke him, he would not act against him either.
Xiao Wan Wan was standing at his side while pointing to a few missions and recommending for him to take them up.
She had already gotten a mission herself and was just here to lead and accompany him to the mission hall.
His turn came a while later, and Elder Cang looked up at Long Chen with a haughty look on his face, “Name?”
“Long Chen.” Long Chen directly replied.
“Long Chen…?” Elder Cang took a careful look at Long Chen, before he continued, “These are some of the missions that are here for you to choose from. Take your time:”
Elder Cang tone of voice was polite, but there was a hint of sarcasm within. Long Chen looked down to look at the mission slips placed on the table, and found them all to be at 3 Stars.
3 Stared mission was meant for those in the 5th Elementary Realm and above, and a newly promoted inner disciple would not have a single chance of completing it.
The inner disciples at the side could see the grading difficulties of the missions that Elder Cang had given, as they all exclaimed out in astonishment, and pity.
“Elder Cang is giving him 3 Starred Missions when he is merely a newly promoted Inner Disciple? Does Elder Cang even know who Long Chen is?”
“My thoughts exactly. This time, Elder Cang is bound to hit a steel wall. Serves him right for being so arrogant all the time.”
“I had thought that Elder Cang had a sort of awareness for who he should provoke and not, but it seems like he is thoroughly hopeless.”
Their pity was not directed towards Long Chen, the new Inner Disciple, but Elder Cang. They could more or less recognize Long Chen and his identity.
Although no one was announcing it, they all knew who the true genius of the entire Moonlight Sect was. If Long Chen was to safely grow for a few more years at his current pace, it won’t be long before he thoroughly suppresses all the Chosens in the sect.
And Elder Cang was now directly offending such a horrifying character.
“is there any other missions?” Long Chen was indifferent to the murmurs of the crowd, as he peered right into Elder Cang’s eyes and calmly asked.
