A young girl was standing in front of his courtyard. Wearing white robes that complimented her jade-white skin, she looked like an angelic goddess. And on her snow-white face, there was a devilish smile hanging on her rosy lips.

She turned her head to meet Long Chen’s gaze, and that entrancing smile of hers widened to become one of mischievousness.

“I have finally found you!” She exclaimed out in a soothing voice that was laced with delight.

Circling around his body while eyeing him up and down like she was enjoying a work of art in front of her, her lips parted again, “I heard that your name was Long Chen. I was about to go and find you, if not the injury that I had sustained.”

“What are you here for?” Aside from the frown in between his eyebrows, his face was calm as he stared at her unblinkingly.

Of course, inwardly he was not as composed as he looked, because he could sense that the aura she was subconsciously exuding was stronger than his.

He could not imagine what type of poison could possibly weaken a powerful Sky Realm cultivator by so much, that even a mere Elementary Realm warriors were able to render her powerless.

That young girl in front of her, was exactly the girl who he had saved from the forest.

He didn’t know her name though.

“Why am I here for?” Yu Wan abruptly paused in her footsteps when she heard this question, and then realized that she herself did not know why she came here for.

“I am here to” Yu Wan began to ponder for a while, before she raised her head up with a perfect excuse in mind, “I am here to welcome my new Chosen Junior Disciple.”

As she thought of this, her face instantly brightened and introduced herself, “I am Yu Wan, one of the Chosens in the Sect. Since you were promoted to a Chosen later than me, I am your Senior here.”

“Junior Disciple Long Chen, call me Senior Disciple Yu Wan.” Her eyes were literally shining with sparks of delight when she said this, while anticipating his response.

Long Chen rolled his eyes in speechlessness, and so as to immediately get her away, he called out, “Senior Disciple Yu Wan.”

“If you have nothing left, I shall take my leave now.” And without waiting for an answer, he sidestepped her, opened the door, and then closed it.

Yu Wan was trying to enjoy the sensation of being called Senior Sister, when she realized that Long Chen had already ran back to his courtyard.

Her delicate face suddenly froze up, the corners of her lips twitching up and down.

She looked at the closed door, and did not know what to do for a moment. After a while, she pointed her finger to his courtyard, and with an “I will come back for you” expression plastered on her face, she turned around and left.

Only after hearing the footsteps outside the door, did Long Chen pull away from the door to enter the Qi Gathering Formation in the center of the room.

To see the young girl here was quite a surprise for him, and he would have almost forgotten about her if not for the fact that he recognized her face and the memory got pulled back to his mind.

As the dense Qi energy began to revolve itself around him in a circular fashion, he calmed down his mind and began to think about what he would do next, while simultaneously absorbing and refining the Qi energy, then suppressing and converting it to become the stronger Elementary Qi.

Like a quiet, silent breeze, the Qi energy entered his body and strengthening it with every passing minute.

He was now in the 1st Sky Realm, which he guessed could quality as the bottom feed of the Chosens where Sky Realm lay abundant.

Of course, with his age, he had a lot of time to catch up to them. But why would he waste his time for, when he could spend all his effort to increase his cultivation and advance his progress?

He suddenly remembered that he had a few pills within his hands that he had forgotten to sell.

The 16 Elementary Pills which he had refined before he broke through to the Sky Realm.

He should take another trip to the city again.

A few days silently passed.

A loud boom could be heard from Long Chen’s internal body, as that invisible wall which had impeded his advancement to the 2nd Sky Realm was swiftly broken through under the unrelenting tide of his dense Elementary Qi.

Tens of Crystals lay around him, their color dulled down, and obvious effect of being depleted.

Long Chen stood up and gripped his fists, while still closing his eyes and feeling the growing strength that enveloped his body.

The sensation of progress was intoxicating, not just to him alone, but to everyone else, which was one of the reasons why people strike to reach the peak of cultivation.

Not just of the end result, but also for the process.

After wallowing in the captivating power in his body, he opened his eyes and walked out of the Qi Gathering Formation.

With his storage bag within his pocket, he strode towards the door, leaving the comfort of his courtyard.

While he was walking through the Sky View Region, there were quite a bit of gazes that were aimed towards him, some of curiosity, some of awe, and some of battle intent.

At least, there were no hostility that he had felt so far, but he was sure that this will change when Chen Yu Yang comes out and sees him.

Speaking of Chen Yu Yang, he was contemplating and wondering about the different possibilities and events that will occur when he realize that he was still alive and kicking, but all was tranquil and silent.

This, however, gave him a sense of unease, an unease at the unknown.

“Junior Disciple Long Chen.” A call rang out from the side of his right shoulder.

Turning his head around, he saw Xiao Tian slowly floating to his side, his face still hanging that warm smile.

Landing on his feet, he began to directly speak, “Junior Disciple Long Chen, I just want to inform you that as Chosens, we have a monthly combat competition to track our progress, and this combat competition is taking place a few days later, in the Chosen Combat Arena. Make sure you don’t come late for that.”

Long Chen nodded his head in acknowledgement, “Thank you for informing me.”

They exchanged a few perfunctorily words, and then parted ways as he continued on his way out of the Sect.
