Godslayer’s Legend - Chapter 169
“How about you have a taste of your own medicine?”
Hearing his voice, the mage turned around instant but was met with the figures of about a dozen black lightning beasts charging towards him with mouths wide open.
He waved his hands and golden lightning spears appeared and fired towards the black lightning beasts.
**BOOM! BOOOOOOMMM!!!!
**WHOOSH!!
The two lightning based attacks collided and exploded simultaneously resulting in a cloud of dust that obscured the lightning mage’s vision.
However, he did not need his vision to be able to tell where Arthur was. Unfortunately, that was exactly what Arthur wanted.
The mage sensed Arthur’s location and created a spear of lightning, grabbing the spear, he charged towards Arthur.
“Return.”
**WHOOSH!!
The moment Arthur spoke, the lightning mage felt cold sweat and tried to turn around but it was already too late.
**PUK!!
He looked down on his chest and saw a semitransparent blade sticking out of it, coughing a mouthful of blood, he dropped to his knees while glaring at Arthur.
His magic power then swelled as he tried blow himself up but Arthur quickly beheaded him with an aura blade.
As his head rolled to the floor, Arthur walked up to his body and picked up the bag that was attached to his waist.
Inside it, he saw the awakening stone and a few other artifacts and relics. There was even a bunch of teleportation crystals and more than a dozen sacrificial artifacts too. That explained how he survived the deceased earth mage’s catastrophe spell.
“This is a good haul.”
He placed its contents inside his inter spatial ring and pulled Celestia out of the lightning mage’s corpse before tossing the bag away. He then un summoned the sword and was about to leave the area before feeling a surge of energy.
**WHOOMMM!!!!
It was followed by a strange noise and a shockwave that came from the sky. Next Arthur experienced what it meant to be weightless despite the fact that gravity still existed where he was.
The rubble from the destroyed city, the corpses of its inhabitants, everything became weightless and floated up into the air.
Arthur then saw a bright flash of light coming from far up in the sky, most likely from outside the planet. At the sight of this, all he could say was;
“What the genuine fuck is going on?!”
◇ ◇ ◇
Going back to around the time that Arthur decided to go back to the lightning mage’s location, Cattleya was busy raiding the all the drifter’s bases on Aeturn.
She had destroyed nearly all of them in less than two hours and was dealing with the last.
**BOOM!!!!!!
With the flick of her fingers, there was an explosion as three high drifters dropped from the sky. However, before they could hit the ground, magic power wrapped around them and pulled them up into the air.
Barely managing to open their eyes, they were met with the glowing red eyes of an enraged silver haired Arch devil of destruction.
“Last chance, where the fuck is your leader?”
After being informed by Lute on what happened, Cattleya immediately set out to raid all the bases of the drifters on Aeturn for information on where Larry could possibly have taken Arthur.
The headquarters, was the last base standing, but it won’t be for long.
The three high drifters being restrained by Cattleya could not help but shed tears internally while wishing they knew the answer to Cattleya’s question.
After Larry left with the progenitor drifter, they had not heard from him, thus they had no idea where he could have gone.
As for the auction, they had no idea whether it had ended already, the news hadn’t reached them yet.
It was at this moment that another high drifter warped into the area. Seeing the mess in front of him, he grew enraged and attacked the culprit immediately.
Cattleya looked at the drifter charging towards her and flung the trio she was ‘holding’ away. She then created a sword made out of pure Aether and swung it towards the attacking drifter, releasing a slash that threatened to split him in half.
Seeing the Aether slash heading towards him, the drifter flashed out of its path and appeared behind Cattleya.
He then swung his arm and released a large mass of spatial magic that carved away any and everything in its path.
From the air molecules to the space itself.
However, Cattleya instantaneously leaped out of the range of the spell.
This alarmed the drifter and caused him to utilize his authority.
[Authority of Space: Myriad Black]
Multiple portals appeared around both him and Cattleya who was miles away. He then spread his arms wide and used another authority.
[Authority of poisons: Abhorrent dose.]
Orbs of condensed poisons appeared at the tips of each of his fingers and fired into the portals around him. Then from the portals around Cattleya that followed her even if she changed locations, these orbs of poison shot out at light speed towards her.
With here superior senses and reaction speed, Cattleya pinpointed the locations of all the poison orbs and used her sword of Aether to slash through them all.
However, this had the opposite effect and the orbs of poison ended up multiplying. At this point, Cattleya became fed up.
**BOOMMMMM!!!!!
She released a burst of destructive energy around her that reduced anything and anyone within a ten-mile radius, to ash.
A great majority of the wounded drifters who were not fast enough in teleporting were instantly killed by this burst of energy.
She then turned her head towards the location of the drifter who fired the orbs of poison and blitzed towards his location.
Due to the fact that he was helping his comrades escape Cattleya’s burst of destructive energy, he was slow to react but even still his speed of teleportation was out of the norm.
He believed he could teleport out and almost succeeded too.
Unfortunately for him, the one he was fighting against, didn’t exactly fall under the scope of ‘normal’.
With her hand coated in pure Aether, she shattered the teleportation magic and grabbed the drifter who already had half of his body in a different space.
She pulled him back to this space and flung him to the ground.
Before he landed, she had already blitzed towards him and grabbed his face with a handful of essence from the law of destruction, slamming him in the ground with enough force to shatter the earth underneath him.
She then pushed him even deeper into the ground, past the planet’s crust and into the mantle. As any further action would end up with her slamming him into the outer core of the planet, she stopped and pulled him back out.
She then switched her hold from his head to his neck and asked.
“Where is your leader? And where is my son?!”
It was at this point the drifter finally got a good look at Cattleya and his already pale complexion paled even further.
To save his life and the lives of the other surviving drifters, he hurriedly forced himself to speak despite the hand holding his neck.
“P-pla-n-net n-Em-o.”
Hearing the name, Cattleya’s face contorted as she recognized it.
“That’s where Creusery said he was going to. Is this a coincidence? If not then how did he know?”
She got the exact location from the drifter and flung him to the ground before blitzing out of the planet at the fastest speed she could muster.
◇ ◇ ◇
A few minutes before Cattleya set out raid the last base of the drifters, Creusery was staring at the screens in Diablo’s personal realm.
Each screen showed the different battles that were occurring in the Nemo galaxy, from insignificant battles between master realms to planet bursting brawls between deities.
As he was staring at them, he inadvertently glanced at one in which he saw a black haired and red eyed boy clashing with multiple masked beings. It was then that Diablo who was silent ever since he entered spoke up.
“The red eyed kid, that’s Arthur, go get him out of there before i take action.”
“What!?”
Creusery could not help but snap his head towards Diablo and ask in shock. He did not understand why Arthur was in a galaxy that was about to turn into a battlefield for two monarch realm beings.
Diablo however, ignored his shock and continued speaking.
“The celestial is almost done with the deities he is fighting against, go fast.”
Hearing this, Creusery understood that Diablo was serious and instantly teleported out of the area back to Aeturn. He intended to get Inglis to hold Cattleya back and prevent her from going on a rampage.
He then encountered the scene of Inglis trying to persuade Cattleya to not indiscriminately destroy the drifter’s main headquarters that was located in another galaxy in the Burning realms cluster.
This was before she had gone over to the one on Aeturn.
Upon arriving, the two turned towards him and Cattleya asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Huh? Where are you off to?”
It was a casual question, one that Creusery reflexively answered a bit too correctly.
“Planet Nemo in the Nemo Galaxy.”
Instantly realizing his blunder, he wished he did not return to get Inglis to hold off Cattleya and warped out of the area after waving them off.
