Godslayer’s Legend - Chapter 185
|Me? I know a lot. A whole lot. My dad was the real thing after all.
He was also a candidate of destruction, does the name ‘Lucifer’ ring any bells?|
Hearing Lucifer’s name, the watcher’s face paled.
|Shit! Now I understand what was happening! This one is not a decoy like we thought, it’s the real deal!|
He turned to the celestial and spoke.
|We need to leave now!|
Before the celestial could even ask why, he suddenly felt dizzy and coughed up blood.
Dropping to his knees, he held his chest in pain.
His spell was broken but even so, the watcher tried to intervene.
|I don’t think the law of Causality permitted that.|
As Diablo spoke, golden sparks began appearing around the watcher’s body. The space beside him cracked and a golden chain burst out of the crack and wrapped around his hand.
|Next time don’t swear oaths on Causality.|
|GGARRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!|
Meanwhile, the celestial who was screaming in pain, felt something leave him, alongside the pain.
He looked up and saw a giant glass-like shard of light.
‘That’s the fragment I got from that dying universe!’
It floated until it was in front of Diablo and stopped there.
Diablo then picked it up and looked it over before speaking.
|I see, so this is what it was trying to get, is it trying to strengthen itself?|
He laughed as he figured out what the Hell Universe itself was trying to steal from the celestial.
‘I doubt I could have extracted that from him without damaging it.’
|Well, now that is done. Time to end this shall we.|
As he spoke, he revealed his six pairs of wings and roused his energy.
Tendrils of dark red Aether flickered around him as he looked at the celestial with an icy and cold gaze.
|Shit! RUN! NOW!!|
The watcher shouted towards the celestial who gritted his teeth in anger and activated and authority.
[Authority of Reincarnation]
[All things, shall be born again]
However, there was no way Diablo was going to let him go so easily.
||Partial Domain Declaration: Ninth Thousandth Circle of Hell: Throne Room||
Illusory translucent black flames spread out to form a circular boundary wall from Diablo’s feet.
Next, the ground under his feet elevated itself a bit and a dark red throne appeared behind him.
The bare grounds became marbled floors and a curved wall adorned with curtains erupted from the ground behind Diablo.
One of the curtains that flapped in the wind showed a Crest with 45 circles arranged in a pyramid format.
Diablo tapped his finger on his throne’s armrest and paused the domain manifestation, he didn’t need the whole thing after all.
|Now then, you came to my universe 5 years ago and have done your fair share of messing around with the balance of things here.
Your punishment: Death.|
He declared the celestial’s death like it was a done deal. However, there was no way the celestial would accept such.
[Authority of Time: Chrono Stasis]
And the flow of time came to a stop.
The sparks of Causality on the watcher’s arm stopped, the illusory flames around them stopped, the curtains flapping in the wind also stopped.
Nothing moved, even the drops of blood that were dripping from the celestial’s body stopped midair.
‘Tsk…it stole the shard I kept in my soul space and damaged my already damaged soul even further.
I have to abandon this body and return back to my original in my universe otherwise I would not be able to heal properly.’
The celestial stood up in the stopped time and attempted to activate his authority of reincarnation once more.
Unfortunately;
|My Annihilation is Existence Erasure|
Hearing that voice, he turned towards Diablo who was supposed to be stopped in time but it was already too late.
|Be gone|
It was a single beam.
A single Hyper beam.
One filled to the max with the destructive energies of the laws of Annihilation and Destruction.
The beam that was fired from Diablo’s outstretched hand was so thick and dense with power that it put even the most powerful Specium Ray to shame.
The air shook.
The atmosphere trembled as the thunderous roar that accompanied the blast flooded the surroundings with noise.
As for the celestial;
He was annihilated completely, body, soul, spirit, everything was gone.
**CCRACK!!!
With his death, the time stop was broken but Diablo never really cared.
In the first place, he was always conscious and it only took him a few seconds to get used to it and be able to move once again.
As for the watcher, he was too busy getting shut up by the law of Causality as he tried to interfere with his candidate once again.
The next moment, the cracks where the chains erupted from expanded, and two beings walked out.
They were dressed in grey robes and had white masks over their faces.
Each of them was carrying a golden spear that was sparking with the essence of the law of Causality.
Diablo tapped his throne and spoke.
|Causality guardians, get your foolish pet out of my universe.|
The two beings Diablo referred to as Causality guardians turned to him and bowed lightly.
||Greetings to the master of the Original Hell.||
They then turned and grabbed one arm of the watcher each and pulled him inside the crack, closing it behind them.
After the crack closed, Diablo deactivated his domain and exited the realm only to be met with the figure of an angry Cattleya waiting for him right outside the realm gate.
“You could have at least waited until I reached Aeturn, not like it was gonna change anything.”
He spoke up while looking around for any surviving celestial bodies but found none.
“You knew Arthur was going to be involved in whatever you were planning and you still didn’t warn him-.”
“Correction Cattleya, I planned nothing.
Sure, I happened to know of the beings who attended that auction, I also happened to know about Arthur’s presence there.
I happened to know about the things being sold and the one Arthur bought that caused him to be a target, I happened to know who sent the ones who attacked him and who gave them the soul poison they used on him.
I just killed them after all.
However, I planned none of these things. They all just happened; the only thing I planned for was to kill a certain celestial right after the auction ended.
This is something that would have happened regardless of whether Arthur was there or not.
Arthur being there was a decision he made on his own and from his current state, it can be seen that it was a very bad decision that nearly cost him his life.
As such, next time, he would think twice before entering any shady places.
It is a good life lesson.
You should thank me for contacting Aurora beforehand and telling her about it.
Now don’t bug me about this anymore, the amount of energy required to completely annihilate an existence on my level is quite large so I’m a bit exhausted.”
Diablo interrupted Cattleya, gave her an epistle, and then vanished right after.
Cattleya could only grit her teeth in indignation because most, if not all of what he said, was right!
Whoever bought the box at the auction would have ended up getting attacked and fed a good dosage of soul poison.
Diablo was also still going to kill the celestial afterward too.
Arthur’s presence did not really matter in this part of the scenario.
Clicking her tongue in annoyance, she returned to Aurora’s domain where Arthur lay unconscious.
◇ ◇ ◇
Diablo warped into an entirely black space filled with countless screens showing the various scenes occurring in the hell universe.
He walked past his throne and went deeper into the darkness behind it.
Suddenly he found himself in a desert, one that had black sand instead.
There was nothing else here, except a giant multicolored orb about 4 feet high and wide.
He walked closer to it and stopped about a meter away, he then stared at the orb in silence.
He remained this way for nearly ten minutes without even making a sound.
It was so quiet that one could literally hear a pin drop.
Then Finally;
[Why did you not bring the shard?]
A female robotic voice resounded across the entire desert.
“I wonder, you just told me you wanted to get something but didn’t tell me what or how?
More importantly, why?”
[I saw no point in telling you.]
“And I see no point in giving you the shard.”
Diablo replied with an amused tone as he sat down on the ground and stared at the orb in silence.
After a few moments, an audible sigh could be heard as some of the sand beside the orb rose up and took up a humanoid shape, that of a woman.
The humanoid’s features became more defined, the hair turned black, the eyes turned red, and the lip-
**BOOM!!
