Granting You A Second Life Hiatus - Chapter 151 You'sve Lost Your Purpose
Little 4th shook his head and tutted. He looked at his brother with pity: “You finally admit it. You’ve been working Big sister YingYing too hard. You leave me no choice; I’m going to have to pull out the big cards.”
Qin Song didn’t correct little 4th’s amalgamation of 2 phrases and instead pulled out his own trump card: “Oh I also have a card to pull out. Li Xiuying gave me something to pass on to you after our meeting ended.”
Little 4th immediately changed his tune from earlier: “Really?! What is it?”
Qin Song pulled out the small yellow envelope slowly from his inner jacket pocket and swayed it slightly from side to side.
Little 4th eyes widened and followed the yellow envelope making a pendulum motion before him.
Qin Song’s lip twitched with amusement. He cleared his throat and woke Little 4th from his hypnotized state.
Qin Song: “Aren’t you going to pull out the big cards?”
Little 4th laughed nervously: “I was just acting out a scene of make-believe. You know the play, naive, innocent little brother confronts handsome, intelligent, suave older brother. He he. ” Little 4th forced a smile as he tried to flatter his older annoying brother. His smile looked more like a grimace of constipation.
Qin Song: “I’m going to go and change first, then we’ll talk.”
Qin Song held in his laughter because of the weird face little 4th’s weird expression. He went upstairs with an extra pep in his step. Annoying the bun was a favorite pass time of his.
…
Jiang Huan’s Apartment
Jiang Huan was curled up against Tang Tingzhe as they sat on the sofa. He had a glass of red wine in one hand. They were watching a movie together.
Tang Tingze: “Xaoi Huan, I was speaking to my friend earlier. He’s a lawyer for a small but reputable firm. Do you remember, I told you about him before Huang Ah?”
Jiang Huan made a non-committal sound and continued to look at the TV screen.
Tang Tingzhe: “So Huang Ah said he would take your case on. He said he has an opening Monday at 2:30 to discuss it. What do you think?” He had been constantly trying to convince Jiang Huan to start the legal process.
Jiang Huan ignored her pounding heart and shoved down the guilt she was feeling. Tang Tinzghe was always trying to fight for her rights against Li Xiuying: “Erm shouldn’t we take this slow and collate as much evidence as possible first so we have a solid case?”
Tang Tinzghe nodded he squeezed his arm around Jiang Huan: “That’s why it’s a good idea to get Huang Ah involved. He can tell us what we need to collect and what our next steps should be. I briefly told him a few details about the incident and he thinks we could have a case on our hands for abuse of power and unfair dismissal.”
Jiang Huan gave a weak smile and kissed Tang Tinzghe chin. She would have the weekend to think about everything and what her next steps should be.
Jiang Huan laid on Tang Tingzhe’s chest once again.
Tang Tinzghze looked down at Jiang Huan with an annoyance before staring at the TV blankly.
They both sat in silence as they watched the rest of the movie.
After some time there was a buzz at the door.
Jiang Huan tapped Tang Tingzhe’s chest: “You get it.”
Tang Tinzghe shuffled off the sofa and stretched his arms. He picked up the telecom: “Hello.”
Delivery man: “Hello, I’m here to delivery documents from Unity hospital.”
Tang Tinzghe frowned: “Come up.”
Jiang Huan shouted from the living room: “Who was it?”
Tang Tingzhe: “Just some paperwork I need to look at tonight.” He undid the locks on the door.
Jiang Huan: “Kay”
There was a knock at the door.
Delivery man: “Package for Ms Jiang Huan.”
Tang Tinzghe: “Yep.”
Delivery man: “Sign here.”
Tang Tingzhe took the electronic pad and tilted it. He then used the stylus to forge Jiang Huan’s signature.
The delivery man handed over the thick envelope and left. He scratched his head as he got into the elevator. He had recieved the weirdest set of instructions for this job. Deliver to this address and if a male voice answers then respond and give the details of the delivery. If a female voice answers then wait for 10 minutes each time until someone else answers.
Tang Tinzghe opened the envelope in his hands and skimmed the first page. [Dear Miss Jiang Huan, this is a formalized document of the events that have occurred during your employment at Unity hospital culminating in the termination of your services.] Tang Tingzhe’s eyes widened as he continued to read the document detailing everything that Jiang Huan had done.
He flicked through the other pages of evidence and gave a self-deprecating smile. ‘This B***h’
Tang Tingzhe walked to the living room.
Jiang Huan: “Hey baby, did your work have documents delivered again outside of office hours. They’re really working you too hard.”
Tang Tingzhe exuded his charismatic aura again: “I’m the only man for the job.”
Jiang Huan giggled.
Tang Tingzhe walked over to Jiang Huan and gave her a peck on the lips: “Before I start giving my brain a workout, perhaps I need to work out my body?”
Jiang Huan bit her lip and looked shy. They hadn’t been intimate in days, she thought it was Tang Tingzhe being thoughtful.
Jiang Huan: “I’ll just freshen up first. ”
Tang Tingzhe: “I’ll be counting down the seconds.”
Jiang Huan got up went to the bedroom to quickly pick out a black silky nighty and then speedily head to the shower. She had to admit she was feeling pretty excited.
Tang Tingzhe waited until he heard the shower turn on and for Jiang Huan to begin singing like she usually did. He cringed at the notes that only dogs could hear.
He dialed a number on his phone: “Japanese imports have lost all commercial value.”
Male voice: “I guess you don’t quite live up to your reputation. All mouth and no balls.”
Tang Tingzhe: “I…”
Male: “I don’t want to hear your excuses. They bore me. Move onto the next stage of investment.”
Tang Tingzhe: “Fine. I want the rest of my payment for this deal.”
The male laughed: “Sure it won’t be much considering you couldn’t close the deal.” He then hung up.
Tang Tingzhe looked at his phone and was seething. He looked at the bathroom door and had a malicious look on his face. He would just have to take his anger out on the cause of his problems.
Jiang Huan came out 20 minutes later having showered and changed.
Tang Tingzh put the envelope label side down, on the coffee table and led Jiang Huan to the bedroom.
He kissed her softly and then gently guided her to the bed and lay on top of her.
Tang Tingzhe: “How about we make things a little more exciting today?”
Jiang Huan: “What do you have in mind?”
Tang Tingzhe: “Blindfolds and ties?”
Jiang Huan bit her lip. They had only used blindfold before.
Tang Tingzhe saw the reluctance in her eyes: “Don’t worry, I’ll look after you. Do you trust me?”
Jiang Huan looked into his eyes before nodding: “Okay.”
Tang Tingzhe went to the chest of draws and took out strips of material.
Tang Tingzhe: “Good girl, rest your head on the pillow.”
Jiang Huan tried to seductively move up the bed.
Tang Tingzhe put the blindfold over her eyes first. When it was in place, he let his smile fall away and be replaced with a look of disgust.
He tied her right hand to one bedpost ad the kissed her wrist gently, then did the same thing with her left hand and legs. He leaned his body on her and whispered in her ear: “I’m going to fetch something from the kitchen.”
Jiang Huan: “Hurry back” She felt the excitement coursing through her veins.
Tang Tingzhe picked up the envelope from the living room. He picked up a post-it and wrote a simple note. [I know what really happened at your work, you’ve lost your purpose.]
He had been humiliated and now she would be humiliated.
He whistled as he left the apartment. He didn’t even bother locking the door.
Jiang Huan: “Tingzhe. Don’t be too adventurous in the kitchen.”
No response
Jiang Huan: “Tingzhe! Are you there?”
Jiang Huan: “Tingzhe baby?” She felt a lump in her chest and could feel that something wasn’t right.
Jiang Huan: “Tingzhe! This isn’t funny.” She laughed nervously. Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.novelhall.comfor visiting.
Jiang Huan’s voice became small: “Tingzhe?” She rubbed the blindfold against her shoulder so she could slide it off.
She looked around and struggled with the binds at her hands. She began to panic and thrash.
She pulled her hands forwards and backwards, up and down. She even tried to reach the knot with her teeth. Her wrist started to turn red and began aching with he force she was using.
