Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 1
“How am I still alive?”
These were first words that came out of Shi Li’s mouth after his supposed death.
As a bodybuilding fanatic from Earth, he was mostly immune to all types of sickness stemming from his strong vitality. But life just had to screw him over by striking him with a bolt of lightning.
With that incident, he thought about the things he could have done if he were still alive. The heavens were not unfair though, since Shi Li was transmigrated into another body. As they say, with misfortune comes great fortune.
After adjusting into his new body, Shi Li’s brain was then filled with the memories of the past owner of the body. He then organized the newly obtained information to get an idea of his surroundings.
Surprisingly, he found out that the name of the past owner was also Shi Li. Shi Li was born in the Shi clan of the Verdant Breeze Town and he was the son of the Shi clan patriarch, Shi Xingwan.
Since he was the son of the patriarch, his life has been carefree and smooth sailing. He used up most of his time indulging in pleasurable things rather than strengthening his body.
Unexpectedly, he was stabbed in the heart by one of the women he was playing with, which incurred the wrath of the patriarch and ended up killing the woman.
He was then brought into the recuperation room of the clan and ended up dying in bed. After his death, the Shi Li from Earth then took over the body, resulting in the situation he’s in.
Shi Li then stood up from his bed and looked at himself in the mirror. He had jet-black hair, sparkling eyes, and an extremely handsome face. The downside was he was incredibly skinny. If you were to call him just skin and bones, it wouldn’t be far from the truth.
He sighed and muttered to himself, “Why is this body so useless? Am I fated to be skinny my whole life?” Inspecting more closely, he figured out that his cultivation was at the Muscular Refinement realm, stage 2. Normally, men at his age would be around stage 4 or 5, but he was at a measly stage 2. This infuriated Shi Li so much that he slapped himself repeatedly to the point his face bled.
….
Hearing some weird sounds from the recuperation room, an elder went inside and stared in shock. He saw Shi Li energetically slapping himself like he had no wound at all. ‘The young master is awake?!’ The elder thought to himself. He saw it happening in front of his eyes but he couldn’t believe it so he also slapped himself in the face. With pain came the elder’s happiness. He was happy that the young master is awake.
“The young master is awake!” The elder shouted so loudly that everyone in the clan could hear it. With the announcement, some had expressions of shock, some had expressions of happiness, and some had expressions of grim.
The patriarch heard the announcement clear and well. He then stood up and bolted to the recuperation room as fast as possible, fearing that it was just a dream.
…
After slapping himself numerous times, he came to the conclusion that he should get stronger. Stronger so that no one could ever kill him easily. He wanted to be like his old self, someone who could not die that easily.
He then sat down and continued to process the information. He was then greeted with a loud bang from the door. The door was broken into pieces yet he didn’t mind that. He was instead surprised because behind the broken door was a figure the old Shi Li knew too well.
“Father!” He shouted out. Never in his wildest dreams would he see his father quickly looking for him, checking if he was safe. He felt a warm sensation in his heart. In his past life, he had parents but they didn’t really love him that much. Knowing that he had a family that loved him now, he felt really joyous.
“Are you alright my child?” The patriarch asked seriously. Even if he wasn’t there to truly experience what Shi Li went through, he saw the horrendous wound he got from it. “I’m truly fine now, Father. The wound has already healed up.” Shi Li answered with a smile.
The patriarch then let out a sigh of relief and smiled. He truly was worried that his only son would die so early. He then told Shi Li, “My child, come with me to my room.”
Shi Li nodded and followed his father to the room. He then sat down on a chair after seeing that his father sat down first. With a serious gaze, his father asked, “My child, who was the one that tried to kill you?” Even if his father killed the woman who did it, his father was still furious in the fact that someone had the idea of killing his only son.
Recalling through some memories, Shi Li firmly said, “Father, all I can say was that the one who killed me had some red tattoo on her arm.” Hearing his son’s answer, Shi Xingwan was shocked. “Damn that Yan clan! They have truly gone too far!” He gritted his teeth.
Hearing that the Yan clan was involved in this incident, Shi Li was surprised. The Yan clan was one of the two great clans of Verdant Breeze Town and was rumored to have Fanxia cultivators in their ranks. He was depressed at the fact that he was the target of the clan.
Knowing this, Shi Li then said to his father, “Father, I want to get stronger!” Shi Xingwan then looked at his son. He had a gaze of resolution and determination. He was willing to do anything to get stronger.
Shi Xingwan then asked his son, “Why do you want to get stronger, my child?”
After thinking for a while, Shi Li answered, “It’s because I don’t want to see myself get hurt and my loved ones get hurt. I want to protect them and let them have a happy life.”
He then continued, “And currently, I am just some weak trash that can be easily killed!”
