Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 21
The voice said, “The second test is all about your strength. There are ten waves of enemies for you to face, each wave increasing in difficulty and number of enemies. As long as you finish through the last wave, you can be considered to have finished the second test.”
Shi Li nodded. If the test involved strength, then Shi Li had no problem whatsoever. He then said, “I would like to start the test!”
The walkway disappeared and what appeared in front of Shi Li’s eyes was a huge stage. The walls were smooth, made of green jade. The floor was made of rough cut stone. A huge difference compared to the walls.
The voice said, “I almost forgot. The enemies you are facing in this test…are copies of yourself!”
Shi Li did not expect it to happen at all. ‘You should have said that earlier!’ He shouted inwardly.
…
Out of thin air, 10 of his copies appeared in front of Shi Li. These enemies all had the cultivation of a Stage 5 Muscular Refinement cultivator. They charged at him with their fists.
Shi Li didn’t think that they were hard so he counterattacked and punched them with his casual strength. And in a few breaths, the 10 Shi Lis were defeated.
A minute later, there were now 20 of his copies standing in front of him with their cultivation realm at the peak of Muscular Refinement. Shi Li still didn’t care about their strength. Within ten breaths, all of them were also defeated.
“I’ll give you a moment to rest. The third wave will change since they’ll have an idea of teamwork now. Be vigilant.” The voice said to Shi Li.
Conditioning his strength, Shi Li stood up and 30 of his copies appeared. These Shi Lis had the cultivation of Qi Creation Stage 5.
Five of those Shi Lis imbued their fists with qi and charged towards Shi Li.
Shi Li dodged it and prepared to counterattack. He clenched his fist, just to hit one of him that blocked the blow for the others.
Shi Li had a serious expression. ‘They have the idea of sacrificing one for more. This’ll be a bit hard.’ He thought to himself.
Every attack that tried to hit Shi Li would be dodged by him and end up being counterattacked after a few breaths of time.
So far, he has killed 20 Shi Lis and there were ten left. He planned to dispose of them in one go but what he saw left him in a daze.
Out of nowhere, 40 of his copies at the peak of Qi Creation showed up and the remaining 10 raised their cultivation to the peak of Qi Creation.
Shi Li sighed and charged head-on. His punches were now imbued with qi. As long as one strand would get into his enemies’ bodies, all of the enemies’ qi would explode and end up dead.
This worked for a while since Shi Li was able to kill 45 of him. But one thing changed when he was heading for the remaining 5.
The 5 remaining Shi Lis headed off to different directions and released their qi in a certain way. They then converged their qi to the center and suddenly, their auras intensified until they reached the strength of a Fanxia cultivator.
“A combat formation?” Shi Li was intrigued. Combat formations could be arranged once one has enough allies to diffuse their qi in a certain way and converge as one in a certain spot. This gives everyone access to a great amount of qi and power.
One of the Shi Lis jumped up and gave a kick towards the real Shi Li. The kick glowed a shining crimson red.
Shi Li hurriedly tried to dodge but ended up being grazed on the cheeks by the kick. A bit of blood dribbled out of the wound. This made Shi Li smile a bit. “I guess I have no choice but to use it. It’s getting a bit hard being overwhelmed with numbers. Force multiplier of 3, unlock!” He shouted.
In an instant, Shi Li’s aura strengthened and he disappeared from his original spot in an instant. ‘Where did he go?’ The other Shi Lis thought.
But at that point, one of the Shi Lis already exploded into bits with a bang. The other Shi Lis looked at Shi Li that was behind the dead Shi Li.
“You guys dare use a combat formation against me? I won’t let you do that so easily!” He chuckled.
In an instant, he moved behind another Shi Li and imbued qi on his fist. With a bang, a hole on the chest was formed and the Shi Li clone disintegrated into dust.
“2 dead. 3 left.” He muttered.
This alerted the remaining Shi Lis that Shi Li was stronger than they thought. They got closer to each other and decided to make a qi ball.
All of their remaining qi converged in the center, creating a qi ball with air swirling around it.
Shi Li looked at it and said, “A qi ball? That’s not enough to kill m” He was disrupted once he saw the qi ball glowing red.
The other Shi Lis started infusing their blood into the qi ball, giving it even more power. Noticing this, Shi Li sprinted towards the qi ball, hoping to break it. He knew he could survive it, but it would give him some injuries.
“Oh no you don’t!” A Shi Li shouted and headed towards Shi Li. They exchanged fists but the other Shi Li ended up dying.
Shi Li was about to use a qi beam to destroy the qi ball but a Shi Li laughed, “Too late. You have failed the test.”
With a whoosh, the qi ball collided with Shi Li, illuminating the hall with red light, destroying the two remaining Shi Lis in the process.
After a while, the light subsided and the only thing left behind…was an uninjured Shi Li.
He laughed, “I’ve failed the test? I feel bad for saying this, but I’ll continue!”
