Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 30
Shi Li and Shi Xingwan closed the door behind them as they wanted to make sure no one heard them if someone was eavesdropping.
Shi Xingwan gave Shi Li a chair to sit on. He then asked, “What’s your cultivation realm as of now?”
Shi Li respectfully replied, “Father, I am currently at the Muscular Refinement realm, Stage 7.”
Shi Xingwan was confused, “When you started your tempering, weren’t you at the late Qi Creation realm?”
Shi Li chuckled, “That? Father, I was actually in the Muscular Refinement realm at that time too.”
Shi Xingwan became dumbfounded. Shi Xingwan flipped through memories in his mind but he found nothing about exerting strength of higher realms.
Shi Xingwan then asked, “If you can exert force of a late Qi Creation realm cultivator back then…how about now?”
Shi Li gave a wry smile. He didn’t really want to hide anything in front of his father. He said three words, “Dao Path realm.”
Shi Xingwan coughed up blood hearing those three words. “Dao Path realm? Dao Path realm your head! You can’t fool your father here you know!” Shi Xingwan frowned.
Shi Li sighed. He went to the strength measuring pillar and gave a light punch.
A number showed up, it was 2500 ren.
“Fanzui realm!” Shi Xingwan couldn’t help but blurt out.
Shi Xingwan knew that reaching Fanzui realm will make someone invincible within this town. That alone was enough for him.
Shi Li didn’t come back to his seat but gave another punch on the pillar.
This time, the number that came out was 10,000 ren.
“What? Dizui realm? Is you reaching the strength of Dao Path realm the truth?” Shi Xingwan couldn’t help but ask.
“How do you know about the Di realm, Father? You told me that there was only three realms, I only knew about the next ones thanks to people.” Shi Li asked back.
“I may be your father, but I’m not stupid.” Shi Xingwan replied. “I’ve heard of higher realms within the library of our Shi clan, I just didn’t expect them to be true.”
Shi Li said, “I see.” He continued to give another punch to the pillar.
Bang! The pillar broke in two. But before it broke, it released a number that gave Shi Xingwan a big shock.
50,000 ren! Tianzui realm!
Shi Xingwan felt light-headed from looking at the number. He then looked at Shi Li and asked, ‘My child…is that your limit yet?”
Shi Li smiled, “Nope!”
Shi Xingwan then stood up and asked Shi Li to come with him. Shi Li nodded and followed Shi Xingwan to a training room.
Shi Xingwan said, “Golden pillars aren’t enough for your strength since they can only reach a maximum of 100 thousand ren. Only this training room has a crimson pillar that can reach 999,999 ren!”
Shi Li was shocked. “Why do we have this crimson pillar in the clan?” He asked.
Shi Xingwan looked at Shi Li and smiled, “Just in case we get some sort of monstrous genius. And you’re the one.”
Shi Li laughed at what his father said. He felt his heart warm from hearing that.
Shi Li shouted to his father, “Here goes!”
This punch broke through the sound barrier easily, sending a sonic wave throughout the room. A faint white aura was emanating from Shi Li’s fist until it landed on the crimson pillar.
Boom!
300,000…
500,000…
700,000…
900,000…
999,999 ren!
He reached the peak of the False Dao realm! As one surpasses Tianzui, one starts to delve into the path of daos, finding their own true path. This path they take will become their own unique dao to propel them up to the Dao realm.
One thing is for sure, the peak of the False Dao realm is 999,999 ren. Once you reach 1 million ren, it goes through a qualitative change and becomes a true dao!
Shi Xingwan didn’t expect that his son has reached such a realm within a short amount of time.
Shi Xingwan asked again, “Is that your limit?”
Shi Li replied again in a chuckling manner, “Nope!”
Shi Xingwan gave a laugh and said, “I knew you were gonna say that. You did say you reach the Dao Path realm anyway. Come with me, I’ll take you to one of our extremely special rooms.”
…
Within the center of the room was a pillar that exuded a different aura every second. Its texture was extremely smooth and cold to the touch, seemingly made out of some special metal.
Shi Xingwan said, “This is where we store a treasure we do not dare to use unless needed. Strength measuring pillars, as you know, have different colors for different strengths.
This blue pillar here is a sentient pillar grabbed by our ancestors long ago.”
Shi Li didn’t know that there was such a room like this within the clan. He dumbfoundedly looked at his father and pointed to himself. “Should I really?”
“What are you waiting for? Go and punch!” Shi Xingwan shouted.
Shi Li was jolted to reality and took a deep breath. Releasing his force multiplier to the maximum and activating the Flowing Heavens technique, he clenched his fist and gave a strong punch.
Expecting a large boom to resound out, Shi Xingwan covered his ears…to only remove it as confusion hits him.
“Eh? Why is there no noise?” Shi Xingwan muttered.
He looked at the pillar. The pillar was creating a barrier that blocked sounds for the outsiders. And so, Shi Xingwan understood.
The number on the pillar rose to 999,999 until it went back to 1.
“Is the pillar malfunctioning?” Shi Li wondered.
“No.” Shi Xingwan replied. “Once you reach 1 million ren, it isn’t ren anymore…but dao!”
The pillar’s number slowly rose.
1.10…
1.15…
1.20…
1.25…
1.26…
The pillar stopped at 1.26. Shi Li currently has the strength of 1.26 dao, a cultivator at the Dao Path realm!
________
So dao. New denotation. Fun right?
Well at least, you won’t see pretty big numbers everytime. Just remember that 1 dao = 1M ren.
