Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 31
“You were telling the truth. I thought you were lying, my child.” Shi Xingwan chuckled.
“It’s fine, Father. Who would believe someone that had the strength of a Dao realm while being at the Muscular Refinement realm?” Shi Li chuckled as well.
“So your cultivation realm aside. What happened to you this past month?” Shi Xingwan asked.
Shi Li took a deep breath and replied, “Let’s start off when I first left the Shi Clan to temper…”
…
Hours later, Shi Xingwan was fuming with anger while Shi Li calmly looked at his father.
Shi Xingwan crushed the armrests of his chair. “How dare they harm my child?” He shouted.
Throughout the past month, other than Shi Li’s entrance to the sect which Shi Xingwan was happy about, Shi Li was being attacked by the Yan clan.
“Tell me…why did they attack you?” Shi Xingwan was worried his son might die.
“They told me they wanted to get some key from me or something.” Shi Li faked that he did not know the key was inside in his brain.
Shi Xingwan tensed up. “How do they know of it?” He muttered.
Shi Li looked at his father. “What’s wrong?” He asked.
Shi Xingwan sighed, “I guess it’s time to tell you the truth.”
“The key that they were talking about is inside your brain.” Shi Xingwan said. “The key is a key to a special inheritance your mother gave you before she left.”
Shi Li was shocked. He had a mother? “I thought Mother was dead?” Shi Li asked since he didn’t have any memory of his mother whatsoever.
“Your mother isn’t dead.” Shi Xingwan replied. “I met her years back, saved her when she got lost from her clan members. Remember the cultivation technique you were cultivating? That came from your mother.”
The [Omnipotent Self Art] flashed within Shi Li’s mind. ‘That fake technique came from Mother?’ He thought.
“We loved each other and gave birth to one child, you. You were our pride and joy. Your mother even hid a key in your brain in case you embark the path of cultivation.” Shi Xingwan continued.
He then sighed. “Sadly, people hated our relationship so they pulled your mother away from me. Because of that, my qi base broke trying to protect you and your mother.”
Shi Li was speechless, “Your qi base broke? How did it happen Father?”
Shi Xingwan wryly smiled, “Love can make people do things they won’t normally do.”
Shi Li clenched his fist, his anger rising. “Who wanted to separate you two?” He asked.
“It was a clan named the Tian clan. The clan your mother was in actually had an arranged marriage with someone of the Tian clan.” Shi Xingwan replied.
“But knowing that your mother married me, the Tian clan didn’t let this matter go to rest. Hence, here I am in this state.” He continued.
Shi Li stood up and gave his father a crystal. “What’s this?” Shi Xingwan asked.
“It’s a voice transmission crystal. You always worry about me right? Just imbue some qi and I’ll hear you from anywhere.” Shi Li smiled.
“I have to go now.” Shi Li said. “I’m still not done tempering.” He chuckled.
Shi Xingwan chuckled, “Go on. I have a crystal with me to call you. Stay safe.”
Shi Li opened the door to leave. “I will.” He nodded.
As Shi Li was walking away, he stopped in his tracks.
“What’s wrong?” Shi Xingwan asked.
Shi Li smiled, “I almost forgot. The Yan clan no longer exists in Verdant Breeze. Expand as much as possible, Father.”
In a flash, he disappeared.
Shi Xingwan was surprised, “Yan Clan is no more? What do you mean?”
A servant rushed towards Shi Xingwan. Shi Xingwan saw this and asked, “What’s the matter?”
The servant panted, “G-good news…The Yan Clan’s members were all killed by a powerful existence.”
Shi Xingwan was aghast. ‘My child, did you do this?’
Shi Xingwan coughed and commanded, “Commence operation of expansion. We’re gonna make Verdant Breeze Town prosperous!”
…
A man was checking the clan member room until 1000 lights turned off.
The man panicked. “Patriarch, 1053 lights have been turned off in the room!” He sent a transmission to the patriarch.
The patriarch replied, “If they’re all below Dizui, don’t mind it. They’re useless anyway.”
The man stuttered, “B-b-but Commander Tianshi also died!”
The patriarch froze in his spot. He replied, “A genius like him, died? Check whoever did it and send their info to me.”
The patriarch went back to his room.
“A False Dao like him died?” The patriarch muttered. “Even though his father was trash, he’s considered as a powerful existence. Whoever you may be, don’t think of our Yan Clan as a pushover!”
