Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 32
Shi Li appeared in front of the elders, surprising them.
“Shi Li, you’re back!” Elder Li shouted. All the elders stood up in excitement.
“I told you I was gonna be back.” Shi Li smiled.
“Where did you go?” An elder asked.
“Went back home to sort some stuff. It was bugging me so I just fixed it.” Shi Li replied.
“Ah I see.” The elders nodded. They knew Shi Li was hiding something but all people carry secrets so they shrugged it off.
Shi Li was going to go somewhere after that. “Hey Shi Li! Where are you going?” Elder Li asked.
“I’m gonna temper myself for the next 9 months.” Shi Li replied.
An elder interjected, “No, you can’t!”
Shi Li was confused. “Why?” He asked.
“You’re still too weak. You can’t fend yourself out there.” Elder Li replied.
“Didn’t you see me kill that commander in one go?” Shi Li refuted.
“Uh…” The elders do remember Shi Li killing that commander. They had no other reason to keep Shi Li within the sect. But they still didn’t want him to leave.
An elder stepped forward and shouted, “Don’t leave us. We need you!”
Shi Li instantly had a grim expression. Stutteringly, he asked, “Are you guys into that sort of stuff?”
The elders slumped down and coughed. “I never thought someone would tell us that question.” An elder couldn’t help but say.
“Ehem…anyways, don’t leave the sect. You’re our sect leader. Who would protect the sect if there’s any danger?” Elder Li said.
Shi Li sighed. “If I told you guys I have the strength of a Dao Path realm now, would you believe me?”
The elders shook their heads.
“No.”
Shi Li sighed. “I figured. Go get a blue pillar.” He said.
…
Minutes later, a blue pillar was brought in front of Shi Li. With his fist clenched, he landed a punch on the pillar.
It was the same as before, at 1.26 dao. But this number was enough to shock the elders.
“Dao Path realm! We finally have someone at the Dao Path realm!” The elders were joyous to see something like it.
Shi Li looked at them and asked again, “So…can I temper myself?”
The elders repeatedly nodded. “Yes! Yes you can!” An elder said.
Shi Li breathed a sigh of relief.
“Finally.”
…
“Before you go, have this voice transmission crystal…just in case something happens to you or to us.” Elder Li said.
Shi Li nodded. He then said, “You guys have given me so much protective treasures already. I’ll be heading now.”
He then continued, “I’ll be back before the Genesis Core Competition.”
The elders then waved goodbye to Shi Li who was walking towards a direction.
…
Shi Li stopped where he was and looked at the map the elders gave him.
The map was more detailed than the one he bought back then. It had information on the nearest cities and inns, the power within the cities and so on.
The elders recommended Shi Li to go to a city named Soaring Heavens City where most of the cultivators are at decently high realms.
He sighed and headed towards the city’s direction.
…
After paying 5 diamond coins to enter the city, he was greeted with tall buildings.
“Wait… isn’t this familiar?” Shi Li muttered. Shi Li shrugged it off.
He continued to walk through the streets until he heard a scream.
“Help!”
Shi Li ran to where the scream was.
…
There was a crowd encircling the person who screamed. Shi Li squeezed in to see who it was.
It was a girl. The girl was holding a body that could be said to be charred beyong recognition. The body had many severe wounds on it and its blood was entirely drained. A huge puddle of blood circled around the body and the girl.
“Can somebody help me?” The girl cried out.
People were willing to help her but they couldn’t. There was something that was stopping them from doing so. Except for Shi Li.
Shi Li went up to the girl and said, “I’ll help you bury that body.”
The girl looked up to Shi Li and Shi Li was shocked. The girl’s face was incredibly pure. Crystalline eyes, rosy red lips and a nose that made her face look perfect. Her skin was incredibly pale due to some reason.
The girl slowly muttered, “Thank you.”
…
Shi Li kowtowed at the grave where the body was buried at to pay respects.
“May you rest at peace.” Shi Li said.
Shi Li looked at the girl who was beside the grave. He then asked, “Who did this to you?”
The girl said, “It was the Hui clan.”
Shi Li questioned, “I’m not from here. Who is the Hui clan?”
The girl replied, “Well the Hui clan is one of the top three clans of Soaring Heavens City. My clan was also one of those clans. Sadly a member of the Hui clan saw me and my sister. They wanted us two to be their concubines. We refused.”
She continued, “That invoked the wrath of the Hui clan member, leading up to my clan’s destruction.”
Shi Li understood. The body the girl was holding was her sister. They escaped the onslaught of the Hui clan but couldn’t really make it out alive.
Shi Li said, “How about I avenge your clan?”
The girl replied, “Really?”
Shi Li replied, “Really.”
