Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 40
“Tell me,” a voice asked, “Who sent the two of you here?”
The two servants tried to flee but couldn’t even move a finger at all. Someone was restricting them from doing so. It was Shi Li. One of the servants had no choice but to reply, “Answering senior here, we have been sent by Hui Fuming of the Hui clan.”
Shi Li’s eyebrows raised slightly. “Heh…Hui Fuming sent the two of you here. He sent the two of you here to do what exactly?” Shi Li’s eyes was fixed at the two, making the two feel as if everything they kept secret was being openly revealed in front of them.
Both of their bodies started to shiver thanks to fear. The only thing occupying their minds at this moment was to curse at Hui Fuming and beat him up until his face becomes swollen. The other servant respectfully replied, “He wanted us two to spy on you. Once you got out of the inn, we were to kill you per orders of that trash.”
They started to call Hui Fuming trash to hopefully appease Shi Li’s mood. Shi Li thought up of something and smiled at them. “I will let you go, just pass this message onto Hui Fuming.” They nodded repeatedly as a sign of their willingness to do so.
“Tell him that…his clan should prepare since it’ll be crushed by my hands!”
Shi Li retracted his aura from both of them and allowed them to run back to Hui Fuming. “Now that that’s been taken care of, I should get back to the inn and wake Luiyin up.” He then walked leisurely towards the inn.
…
Hui clan.
The two servants had smiling looks on their faces as if they had escaped from a disaster. Hui Fuming saw this and copied their gesture. “So did you kill Shi Li?” he asked.
The two looked at each other and talked for a bit. Later, one of them stepped forward as he grinned. “Did we kill Shi Li?” he asked when suddenly, killing intent emanated around him and punched Hui Fuming with his full strength. Unsurprisingly, Hui Fuming fell to the ground.
“Of course not, you f*cking idiot!” he shouted. The two then dashed towards Hui Fuming and started to pummel Fuming’s face until it swelled like a pig’s head. If Hui Fuming from before was a decently attractive person, currently he was nowhere near that. His hair was messed up, his eyes misshapen, and his teeth broken.
Hui Fuming slowly stood up, enduring the great amount of pain he received. With his swollen lips, he could only utter out a vague “Why?”
“Why?” one of the servants said with disdain, “Do you really want us to get killed that badly?” they then spat at Hui Fuming’s face and said, “A message from Shi Li: prepare to get annihilated.”
The two servants turned around and slowly walked away, leaving Hui Fuming alone thinking about Shi Li’s statement with an incredibly swollen face.
…
By the time Shi Li got back, Cai Luiyin was already sitting on one of the beds. “So how did your cultivation go?”Shi Li couldn’t help but ask.
Cai Luiyin started to exude an aura that made her look like some celestial maiden detached from the secular world. “What do you think?” she asked.
Shi Li nodded. “It looks like the cultivation technique you wanted me to bid for helped you a lot. How’s your strength?”
Cai Luiyin stood up from the bed and headed towards the crimson pillar. Clenching her fist, she punched out towards the pillar with her full strength. Within seconds, a result popped out. 50,000 ren! The strength of a Tianzui! Cai Luiyin looked at Shi Li and smiled, “Is that good enough for you?”
Shi Li shrugged his shoulders. “I guess it’s okay. Do you want to take revenge now?”
Cai Luiyin shook her head. “Not yet. While I was cultivating, I remembered something my clan elders told me. If I remember correctly, it was a location to a secret clan treasury. It only held one thing, but that thing could possibly help us in the fight against the Hui clan! Do you want to go?”
Shi Li sighed. “I don’t have much of a choice now do I?”
Cai Luiyin giggled. “Nope. Join me!”
…
Cai Luiyin and Shi Li were currently looking at a side of an unknown mountain. Outside the mountain was a giant stone gate that was similar to what Shi Li had gone through in his sect. “So how do you unlock it?” Shi Li asked.
“Only direct Cai clan bloodlines could unlock the gate as they are the successors to what inside.” Cai Luiyin then grabbed a knife from her bag and made a small cut on her finger. The blood started to gush out from the wound as it drips to the ground. She then dragged her blood-covered finger onto the gate, drawing a mystical pattern.
The pattern she drew was the insignia of the Cai clan, a crane soaring through the heavens with the sun behind it. Gradually, the stone gate opened up, letting Cai Luiyin and Shi Li enter the passage behind the stone gate.
…
As they continued to walk through the passage, it gradually got darker. Shi Li grabbed a torch from his space bag and lit it up. As to where it came from, he bought it before starting this journey. There was now a faint light showing the way in front of them.
Not long later, the passage split into two directions, one to the left and one to the right.
Cai Luiyin was thinking of which path to take. “Shi Li, which path should we take?” she asked.
Shi Li was also thinking about the problem until he heard a familiar voice resound within his mind, it was Xiao Hei. “Master, take the left path. The right path would only end up killing you both through a slaughter formation.”
A slaughter formation? Shi Li’s eyes widened in shock and then breathed a sigh of relief. “Thanks for telling me, Xiao Hei. Could you tell me in the future which path we should take?”
“Of course!” Xiao Hei happily replied.
Shi Li looked at Cai Luiyin and said, “Let’s take the left path.” Cai Luiyin nodded and they continued their journey to who knows where.
