Cai Luiyin as usual, did her daily routine of infusing Shi Li with qi. So far, she has done this repeatedly for a month, showing that she holds some affection for him.

She looked at Shi Li’s face and sighed, “Shi Li, it’s already been a month since you showed your power to the world. I’m fine for now since the city lord always gives me money to get by. I’m really worried about you.” Shi Li had his eyes closed for the past month as if he was just taking a long nap.

Tears started to fall out of her eyes. “You don’t know how good it feels to be by your side. You always seem to make miracles wherever you go,” she lightly smiled with the tears. “I felt really happy seeing you help me out on my quest for vengeance. You made me feel like a normal girl.”

She moved closer towards Shi Li’s face and lightly kissed him on the cheek. She always does this everytime when she infuses Shi Li with qi. She whispered quietly, hoping that he doesn’t hear it. “You will never know this but it will always be within my heart.”

“I love you Shi Li. Ever since you helped me, my life changed for better. I hope when you wake up, you feel the same way.”

“City lord…do we really need to give that girl some money?” a man asked the city lord. “She’s the only one using it anyway while the other one is in a coma. Can’t we like take the money back?”

The city lord looked at the man and frowned. “If it was that easy, I would have done that long ago. Who knows if that Shi Li is really in a coma. I just fear that he’s just waiting for us to attack him so he can become the new city lord.”

The man was shocked. “Are you saying that he wants to use Soaring Heaven City as a leverage for his reputation?”

The city lord nodded. “I believe that it may be so,” he looked out of his room’s window, only to see the city enveloped in an eerie silence. “I still can’t believe that within a month of Shi Li’s attack, the top three clans changed.”

When Hui Fuming saw Cai Luiyin, he asked his clan to annihilate the Cai clan to make her his concubine. Admittedly, that was already one grand clan destroyed. Then many days later, Shi Li attacked the Hui clan patriarch and made the Hui clan fall down. Who knew that within this month, the Jie clan who was the last remaining grand clan of the city would be ganged up on by the other clans.

The city lord had a bad feeling within his heart.

“I really feel like a calamity is going to befall us.”

In a faraway place….

A beautiful woman was looking at a daisy remembering about her past. A man came up to her and embraced her from behind.

The beautiful woman was surprised. “Feixing, what are you doing?”

The man chuckled lightly. “Wei’er, can’t I embrace you even though I’m your husband?”

The beautiful woman frowned. Feixing, to be more specific Tian Feixing, was supposed to be the first husband Wei’er would have if it wasn’t for her meeting Xingwan. She was forced to marry Feixing out of her own accord after being separated forcefully from Xingwan.

The man saw this and slowly removed his hands from her body. He sighed. “I heard some interesting news about a cultivator killing a patriarch in a faraway city.”

The beautiful woman regained her calm and replied, “What about it? The patriarch must’ve only been at the Grand Dao realm at most. The cultivator must’ve been at the same realm and they fought for days and nights. What’s interesting about that?”

The man smiled when he heard her reply. He then said, “Here’s what’s interesting, the cultivator was at the Dao Path realm at 17 years of age…and killed the patriarch in one go!”

The beautiful woman’s eyes widened in shock. A cultivator like that already had that much combat power? She then asked, “What’s the name of the cultivator?”

The man replied, “Shi Li!”

The beautiful woman’s eyes lit up as if she can’t even fathom that possibility.

“My son, is that really you?”
