Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 49
“Whew…finally done.” Illis wiped off the sweat from his forehead. He sat on the ground and took a deep breath.
“Stats.”
——–
Illis
Level: 1
Experience: 99/100
——–
“Eh? I’m still missing one more point? Come on,” he complained. He had to wait on tree branches for a long time just to get the right prey. Sometimes, they would instantly flee. Other times, they would fight back. And rarely, it would be at a higher level than his own.
He had to do so much just to get where he was now, so being one point short of levelling up made him feel sad. But then, he noticed a rabbit chewing on some grass nearby.
He lightly smiled and slowly stood up, making sure to minimize the amount of noise he produced. He grabbed a pebble and with his full force, he threw it at the rabbit. The rabbit did not even notice the stone passing through its body. It just continued chewing the grass…until it fell sideways.
Seconds later, Illis heard a fanfare and made him stand up in excitement.

Gradually, the muscles within Illis’s body was getting more dense and firm, making his body weigh even heavier than before. Minutes later, he felt like a tyrant. His every movement would generate soft shrieking sounds from the wind. Even when he clenches his fists, a small sonic boom would be heard.
This feeling made Illis happier as he was getting stronger and stronger. But for him right now, it seemed too boring to just wait on tree branches, ambush prey, and repeat the same process all over again. What Illis wanted was some more excitement.
“System,” he asked, “Is there a map built-in within you?”
The system replied, “Of course, every system has a map of everything around a 10 kilometer radius of the user.” It continued, “Do you need to see it?”
Illis nodded. “Yes, I do.”
Within seconds, the map was displayed on the holographic screen, showing all of the nearby towns and cities within the system’s alloted radius.
The system said, “Currently, there are 142 towns and 3 cities around a 10 kilometer radius of the user. Where would the user like to go to?”
“Hmm…” Illis scratched his head, thinking of a good place to go to.
After a minute of hard thinking, he finally decided on a town.
“System, make a route towards Green Wind Town.”
“Command accepted. Creating route.”
…
“Someone stole my purse! Help me!” a lady shouted out.
“Heheh! You won’t be getting this purse anytime soon since it’s all mine!” a man maniacally laughed out loud.
…
“Here I am. Green Wind Town,” Illis muttered.
The town looked extremely peaceful and clean. All the people knew one another and could get along with each other.
“I guess this is where I’ll rest for the-” Illis said but he was interrupted by something.
A man hurriedly ran towards the exit of the town, which was coincidentally also the entrance of the town. Who was at the entrance of the town? Illis.
“Get out of the way!” the man shouted as he was gradually getting closer to Illis.
A woman looked at Illis and shouted, “Don’t let him get away! He stole my purse!”
Illis was perplexed. ‘Purse?’ And there he saw, a small white purse on the waist of the man, embroidered with gems and precious metals.
Illis sighed. “I guess I should do this right?”
He clenched his right fist and moved it backwards. He was waiting for the perfect time to strike at the man.
The man saw this and slightly panicked. “If you hit me, I will make sure to kill you!”
Illis chuckled. “That’s better since that would mean I acted for self-defense.”
With a bang, he punched towards the man and sent him flying. The man hit a wall and fell unconscious. Illis went up to the man’s body and grabbed the purse. He then tossed it towards the woman.
“Here you go ma’am. Your purse is safe and secure now,” Illis said.
The woman bowed down repeatedly. “Thank you very much! Thank you very much!”
…
“What’s that crashing sound I hear?”
“Did you know somebody retrieved a woman’s purse?”
“Who did that?”
Gradually, the other citizens of the town knew what happened and looked at Illis with admiration and praise. Illis was indifferent to the matter.Since he had the strength, he just had to spare the time to do it.
A man walked up to him and asked, “Uh senior…you look strong. Would you like to join the Grand Anima Tournament?”
Illis was confused. “Me? Senior? Grand Anima Tournament? What’s that?”
The man replied, “The Grand Anima Tournament is a tournament for all those Animas who want to show off their strength to the world. This tournament would make you known as the strongest Anima and also give you special prizes.”
Illis was interested when he heard the words “special prizes.”
“What kind of special prizes are we talking about?” he asked.
The man enthusiastically replied, “Experience for levels, special skills, and even some attribute points if I heard it correctly.”
Illis made a wide grin and said, “I’ll join!” He looked around and said, “Now where do I sign up?”
The man coughed. “I’m the organizer for the preliminary rounds, let me help you with that. What’s your name?”
Illis replied, “Illis. Thanks uh…what’s your name?”
The man replied, “Call me Dane.”
Illis slightly smiled, “Thanks Dane.”
Dane smiled and then said to Illis, “So before the Grand Anima Tournament starts, we have to do preliminary rounds. It will assure the quality of the people we’re sending to the tournament.”
Illis asked, “Wait…so no Grand Anima Tournament yet? Preliminary round first?”
Dane nodded. “Yep.”
Illis was slightly disheartened from hearing that. “So that means no prizes?”
Dane replied, “No, there is. The one who gets first place for the preliminary round gets 200 exp.”
Instantly, Illis’s eyes lightened up brightly like the sun. “Yosh! I’m ready for the preliminary rounds.”
Dane lightly coughed. “Are you really here for the preliminary rounds or the prize?”
