Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 5
Shi Li walked to his courtyard within the Shi clan and grabbed the book he got from the old man. He then opened the book to be instantly stupefied at its contents.
‘[Art of True Omnipotence]. Peak Primordial grade.’
F*ck! I feel like I’ve cheated the old man by giving him only nine and a half diamond coins! Shi Li thought to himself. True enough, there was a fine line between a fake technique and truly authentic one made by the creator. Shi Li examined it more closely to be stupefied yet again.
‘Allows the cultivator to be reborn again and gain a peak amount of 2500 ren at Muscular Refinement Stage 9. To the one reading this, consider yourself a tyrant of not only the first realm, but also the second and third realm.’
Normally, Muscular Refinement cultivators would get to at most 100 ren at Stage 9. Qi Creation cultivators at around 300 and Fan cultivators at 2500 at the pinnacle. And this was obtainable by cultivating an extremely harsh technique most often. This technique truly deserves the name of omnipotence.
Shi Li wanted to vomit a mouthful of blood at this point. He really felt like he cheated the man so hardly. He really wanted to give this back to the man but he had no way to find him. ‘I feel like he’s way stronger than me so I’ll accept his grace and cultivate this to the fullest.’ Shi Li thought.
He then opened to the first pages of the technique. He truly was excited to start cultivating.
‘This technique comprises of 5 layers. Theoretically, there would be 10 but I expected that the human body can only handle so much so 5 would do.’ The words in the book said.
“5 layers? Does that have a connection to the realms of cultivation? No that it matters anyway since I’m far from reaching the peak. What does the first layer need me to do?” Shi Li muttered to himself.
‘The first layer of this technique is called Holding Mountains with One Palm. First, check how much ren you can exert at the moment.’ The words in the book said.
Shi Li did what was told by the book and went up to a strength measuring pillar. He punched out and it showed 3 ren.
‘3 ren huh. The old me didn’t care about cultivation at all. No worries since I’ll make him rise to the peak and make Father happy.’ Shi Li thought. ‘Now take that amount and lift a weight double that.’ The words in the book said.
“So I should lift a weight that’s 6 ren? I guess that’s understandable.” Shi Li said. Since he was a bodybuilding fanatic back on Earth, lifting weights twice his weight was normal.
He grabbed a tool called a flexible weight which was shaped like a boulder and changed the weight to 6 ren. He then grabbed the undersides and tried to lift it, but it was no use. His arms didn’t have that much strength.
Removing his hands from the weight and grabbing the book, he skimmed further to gain a sense of understanding of the first layer. But reading further just left Shi Li speechless.
What the creator wanted the cultivator to attain in the first layer was to gain a strength that would allow him to exert 800 times of his normal power. This could be said to be impossible but one prime example of this being possible was done by a simple ant. An ant can carry something 5000 times their own weight so what was a measly 800?
But considering that humans have a different skeletal structure, they were not meant to lift things extremely heavier than them. If humans were able to lift things way heavier than them, they truly deserve the name “tyr-ant.” The creator could be called a lunatic for creating this type of technique, but for Shi Li, they were at the same wavelength.
He then noticed that exerting a force twice his own was a rudimentary understanding of the first layer, 10 times would be a small success, 50 times would be a great success, 250 times would be a grand success and 800 times would be said to be the peak of the first layer.
Thinking about these hurdles, Shi Li knew that he still had a long way to go. But to lift something for him repeatedly was just right up his alley. He went back to the flexible weight and changed it to 3 and 1/4 ren. He lifted it up successfully, albeit with a bit more effort. He then lifted it once more, five times, ten times, twenty times, until he lifted it numerous amount of times to the point he was used to the weight.
This gave Shi Li a feeling of happiness. Lifting weights would be a dream for him and this cultivation technique wanted him to do just that. He increased the weights a bit more after resting for a while and continued to lift it.
3 and a half ren….lifted.
3 and 3/4 ren…lifted.
4 ren…lifted.
4 and 1/4 ren…lifted.
…
5 and 3/4 ren…lifted.
6 ren….finally lifted.
After around 2 days of lifting, he was finally successful to be able to lift something twice his normal strength. He then set the weight down and took a short rest. He finally gained the so-called rudimentary understanding of the first layer.
After a while, he stretched a bit and he let out a punch with his full strength on the strength measuring pillar.
5…10…15…20 ren! He let out a punch that had 20 times the strength of a normal person’s punch! Shi Li was elated that he could actually surpass the normal peak of Muscular Refinement in a matter of a few days.
‘How much ren can I exert normally then?’ Shi Li asked himself. He then let out a casual punch and looked at the strength measuring pillar. 10 ren! He actually has the fist strength of 10 ren!
He then wondered if his fist can exert 10 ren, would his legs also exert the same amount of force. He squatted down and jumped with his full strength. He leapt so high that he could reach the 10 meter walls of the clan. This made Shi Li extremely happy. Not only can he punch 10 ren, he can possibly exert 10 ren on every body part or even 20!
Shi Li then praised the technique for being such a godly technique. He wouldn’t be able to get this strong this fast if it wasn’t for this technique. He looked at his cultivation. It was still at Muscular Refinement Stage 2. This shocked Shi Li. ‘I haven’t reached a bottleneck yet?’ He thought.
He then checked the book and his assumptions were then answered. ‘By lifting a weight heavier than your own strength, it tempers your muscles to be able to exert more force without any strain. Other techniques might have a cap of around 2 or 3 ren per stage, but for this technique, 300 ren would be the cap of every stage before reaching a bottleneck.’ The words in the book said.
This means that Shi Li still had over 500 ren to gain before reaching the bottleneck and reaching Stage 3. With this idea in mind, this made Shi Li exert twice the effort than before and began cultivating furiously.
Henlo. Truedawn here.
This is the true start of Shi Li’s cultivation journey.
Surprisingly he got a peak Primordial grade cultivation technique. Totally not rigged.
Anyways, this shall be Shi Li’s method of quick strengthening. Lifting weights repeatedly till his heart’s content.
5 layers of a technique. What could it possibly signify?
