Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 51
After the remaining participants finished their fights, Dane coughed. “The first round is now over, may I ask for the other participants that have lost in the first round to leave. If you do not yet want to leave the premises, you may sit beside the audience and watch the upcoming fights.”
Some of them left the premises while most of them stayed, hoping to learn something from the movements of the fighters in the succeeding rounds.
Illis who asked Dane about the prize a while ago was currently napping under a tree, waiting for his name to be called.
…
Around 30 minutes later, most of the participants were done with their fights. Dane looked at his list and announced, “May number 25 and number 8 please get into their positions.”
Illis opened his eyes and moved to his position. He stretched a bit since he just woke up from a nap. His opponent was looking into his stats. Illis did the same.
“Identify.”

“Hmm…” Illis muttered out, “So I have to fight against a hidden enemy this round huh.”
He looked at his screen and asked, “System, what viable plans could I use to defeat a hidden enemy?”
After a few seconds, the system replied, “Try to predict where the enemy is or…”
“Attack head-on instantly.”
…
Dane looked at the two of them and saw that they were idly standing. They were waiting for the signal.
Dane took a deep breath and shouted, “Let the fight…commence!”
The opponent bent his knees, aiming to jump upwards. He then triggered some sort of reaction within his body, slowly making him blend with the surroundings.
Illis saw this and started to run towards him at full speed. He clenched his right fist and moved it backwards, compressing all of his strength into one single fist.
The opponent was close to being fully blended with his surroundings until he heard a whoosh sound in front of him. He saw that Illis wanted to hit him before he could disappear from his sight. The man crossed his arms rather than jump upwards, as it was a part of his survival instinct.
Illis noticed this and reduced the strength of his fist by 50%. Once it collided, the opponent still flew due to the residual force left from the attack. The opponent that Illis had fought with on the first round instantly had sweat dripping down his back.
‘Good thing he just defended against my attack. If he retaliated, it could’ve been worse,’ he thought.
…
Dane saw this and was left speechless. ‘Illis’s strength must be actually higher than I thought!’
He then announced, “Number 25 has won this fight. We shall now start the third round!”
Illis then helped up his opponent since he flew quite far from the arena. They talked for a bit until the man left to do other things.
…
A man on a tree branch, laying down lazily, was looking at the fight that was happening in front of him.
“Hmm…I think he looks fit to become my disciple,” this man said to himself. He yawned while he stretched and continue to look at the person that got his interest.
The movement that person made was straight to the point. All of his power was focused onto one part, assuring maximum efficiency and zero wastage. The man’s eyes lit up.
“I can see that he has full control all over his body, definitely rare amongst other Animas. But what route did he pick? System, identify.”
Looking at the person’s stats, the man chuckled loudly.
“He’s the one!”
…
It was now the end of the third round, Illis and his opponent were staring at each other, checking who would make the first move. Unexpectedly, it was Illis.
Illis disappeared from his position and striked at the opponent’s back. The opponent hurriedly turned around and punched towards Illis’s fist. Their fists collided as a boom sounded out.
Dust scattered all over the air, making the fight look like an awe-inspiring scene. But their opinions were about to change when a shrill scream was heard. A man kneeled down on the ground, gripping his fist in pain.
This man was the opponent, Illis was still fine. Illis brought him to the doctor after Dane announced the winner. It seemed that the man’s bones were cracked into two.
“I’m sorry,” Illis felt bad for the man.
The man chuckled, “It’s fine. These things happen in a fight. Just make sure to win the final tournament for this town.”
Illis smiled slightly as he turned around, heading back towards the makeshift arena.
“Yeah I will.”
…
“Identify.”

“Heh…Muscle Enhancement. The same as me,” Illis chuckled.
“System, what does [Sealed Fortress] do?”
The system brought up information about the skill on-screen.
——–
[Sealed Fortress] Lvl. 1

“Oh. It’s a defensive skill,” Illis’s eyes widened. He was looking forward to this fight.
….
Dane asked both of them, “Are you ready?”
They nodded as a sign of affirmation.
Dane nodded back. “Well then…let the final fight of the fourth round…begin!”
They both retreated from their postions, maintaining a constant gap as they moved around the arena.
“Who will make the first move?” one of the audience asked.
Out of nowhere, Illis went into a standstill and sighed. He asked his opponent, “Let’s just settle this head-on. You use your defensive skill, I use my fists. If I don’t push you back, you win. Deal?”
The opponent grinned. “That couldn’t be any better choice.”
…
The two were facing each other, preparing to use their full strength. The opponent bent his knees into a 90 degree angle and shouted.
“[Sealed Fortress]!”
Within a matter of seconds, the opponent’s skin changed into a metallic color. His skin shone as the sun’s rays hit it, blinding most of the people watching.
“Hit me with your hardest!” the opponent said.
Illis took a few steps back and clenched his fist. He then ran towards his opponent, putting all of his strength onto his right fist. Gradually, they got closer and closer until…
Bang!
All of the dust flew up in the air, leaving only traces of their silhouettes. Everyone wanted to see what was the end result. They waited for the dust to settle and saw the greatest thing ever.
Both of them were still standing, Illis’s fist was still on the opponent’s chest. The opponent was still standing, not even kneeling down. But under his feet…were drag marks. The opponent’s skill was not enough to fully handle Illis’s strength.
The opponent coughed up a bit of blood and chuckled. “I guess I still haven’t fully grasped the skill. You win.”
The man knelt down on the ground. Illis stood there in silence, waiting for him to go over his thoughts.
“Are you finished?” Illis bent down towards the man as he extended his hand with a smile.
The man smiled back and grabbed Illis’s hand. He stood up and replied, “Yeah. Thanks.”
Dane waited for them to finish talking. He then announced a few minutes later, “Number 25 has won this fight. We shall now move on to the final round!”
