Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 54
“An experience card?” Illis asked again, “What’s an experience card?”
Maxwell looked at Illis with surprise. “Do you really not know what an experience card is?”
Illis wryly smiled. “I do have a small idea on experience cards. They give experience to you right?”
Dane nodded. “Yeah they do. But do you know where they come from?”
Illis shook his head. “That I do not know.”
Maxwell looked at Dane and said, “I’ll explain this. Do you have any problem with that Dane?”
Dane shrugged his shoulders, not caring about who explains what to Illis. Illis looked at Maxwell with curiosity. “So you’re gonna explain?”
Maxwell nodded. “An experience card allows you to gain high amounts of experience in a short amount of time. These cards are made by infusing thin golden sheets of metal with pure experience. This pure experience could be obtained through mining experience ores.”
Illis tilted his head in confusion. “What are experience ores?”
Dane looked at Maxwell and said, “I’ll take it from here. Experience ores Illis, are ores found underground made from precious minerals and items filled with pure experience. Pure experience is a special type of experience that could be consumed ceaselessly without it hindering your levelling.”
Illis was still confused as he sighed. “Guess I’ll keep that into mind.”
He pointed at the experience card Dane was holding and questioned him, “How many experience does that card even give?”
Dane grinned. “1000 experience.”
Maxwell screamed out in surprise, “1000 experience?! That’s a class 3 experience card! Those kinds can’t be obtained that easily!”
When Illis thought he was already confused, he became more confused. “I know 1000 experience is a lot. But what’s this class 3 stuff you’re talking about?”
Maxwell sighed in annoyance. “You really don’t know anything, do you?”
Dane sighed as well and explained, “Experience cards hold experience, that’s a given. But classes are made to differentiate the amount of experience a card can possibly hold. There are 5 classes of experience cards.
A Class 1 experience card can hold at most 100 experience.
A Class 2 experience card can hold at most 500 experience.
A Class 3 experience card can hold at most 1000 experience.
A Class 4 experience card can hold at most 10000 experience.
And lastly, a Class 5 experience card can hold at most 100000 experience!”
Illis was dumbfounded. 100000 experience? That amount would easily let Illis reach Gold Body, or even higher!
Maxwell then looked at Dane. “So what’s with you giving us experience cards?”
Dane replied, “The city tournament is much harder than you to think. It will make you pit out against the winners of the other preliminary tournaments, with some of them being at the stage of Bronze Body or even higher.
And that’s why I’m giving you two these experience cards. You don’t want to get kicked at the first round…now do you?”
Dane took a deep breath and exhaled
“So…are you guys interested?”
Maxwell looked at Illis said, “I’m interested in becoming a student of the inner circle. What about you Illis?”
Illis nodded repeatedly. “I’ll accept anything as long as you give me that experience card!” His saliva was dripping out of his mouth, eager to get the experience card with every method available.
Dane stepped backward, fearing what Illis could do even though he was at the stage of Silver Body. “Alright! Alright! I’ll give you the card! But…do you really swear to join the academy?”
Illis indifferently replied as he stared at the card, “Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just give me the experience card.”
Dane sighed. ‘This kid is too greedy.’
“I’ll give it to you tomorrow, okay? Same goes to you Maxwell. I’ll meet you two both at the forest near this town.”
Both of them nodded and they left one by one, walking into their houses or inn rooms.
…
In another world…
3 months later…
Cai Luiyin continued to do her routine of infusing qi into Shi Li’s body. She said the same words as usual after the routine, but this time her eyes widened from shock.
All of a sudden, Shi LI’s eyes opened and he sat up.
Cai Luiyin was ecstatic when he saw Shi Li wake up after three months.
But the next words Shi Li muttered out made her cover her mouth in shock.
“Who are you?”
Cai Luiyin teared up a bit. ‘Was all that muttering I did for nothing?’
She put her hand onto his chest. “It’s me, Cai Luiyin. I’m the one you helped avenge a clan right?”
Shi Li tried to recall those memories but that action gave him a feeling of immense pain. A few minutes later, the pain gradually subsided as he weakly answered, “I’m sorry…I forgot.”
With that answer, the tears finally fell down from her face. All of her dreams, crushed in an instant.
“Do you really not remember me?”
Shi Li shook his head slowly. “I don’t.”
He slowly stood up and walked towards the door. “I have forgotten most of my memories due to some incident that happened in my life, but I must still thank you for taking care of me.”
Cai Luiyin couldn’t help but think over what he said. ‘Forgotten most of his memories? Is this a side effect of that elixir he drank?’
She instantly stopped crying. She stood up and shouted, “I’ll help you remember! Your name is Shi Li! You’re currently 18 years old! You-”
Shi Li dashed towards her and kissed her lightly on the lips, preventing her from speaking any further. Cai Luiyin’s eyes widened as her cheeks flushed red. Slowly, she gets engrossed in the kiss even after minutes later.
“”In any case, you helped me out even when I was in my worst. This means you might be my special someone.”Shi Li smiled. He gradually walked towards the door yet again.
Cai Luiyin was left standing where she was. “W-where are you going?”
Shi Li replied, “I’ll be out for a while and see if I could recover my memories again. Thanks.”
Shi Li left in a flash.
Cai Luiyin was left alone. “But…”
“I could help you recover your memory…”
…
Illis and Maxwell met each other at the end of town. Illis asked if he wants to join him in the walk. Maxwell agreed.
Minutes later, they find Dane near the forest with an airship behind him.
“What’s that?” Illis asked as he pointed out.
Maxwell lazily replied. “It’s an airship.”
Illis nodded. “Oh, I see. Well let’s get going then.” Illis started to enter the airship.
Maxwell started to do his explanation. “An airship is a type of transportation that allows…wait, did you say get aboard?” Maxwell instantly ran towards the airship.
“Wait for me!”
