Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 56
“Ohoho. I see that backwater people still know that stage,” the man smiled.
Illis looked at Maxwell and curiously asked, “What’s a Diamond Body?”
Maxwell facepalmed himself. He sighed in annoyance. “Do you really need someone to explain it to you everytime?”
Illis wryly smiled as he shrugged his shoulders. “I’m sorry for being too illiterate then.”
The man turned off his aura, which made Maxwell and Illis relax a bit. “I’ll tell you what a Diamond Body is, kid.”
Illis looked at the man intently. “Please enlighten me.”
The man explained, “Diamond Body is the 5th stage of genetic modification for us Animas. You know that the first to third stages of genetic modification are Bronze Body, Silver Body, and Gold Body right?”
Illis nodded. “I do. And that there are more stages after than that right?”
The man nodded as he continued, “Obviously. Gold Body isn’t the limit. There are a total of 10 stages of genetic modification. After Gold Body would be Platinum Body, and after that would be the stage I’m currently at, Diamond Body.
Diamond Body needs you to be at the 25th level if you’re checking the system. A Diamond Body would allow you to go anywhere unhindered within this world!”
Illis opened his mouth in awe. He excitedly asked, “Can you fly and stuff like that?”
The man chuckled. “Flying? That’s simple! Once you reach Gold Body, you could already fly in mid-air! Although it’s just at low altitudes. Platinum Body would allow you to fly higher and faster than a Gold Body would, and Diamond Body would let you fly at the altitude and possibly the speed of airships!”
Maxwell was surprised. “Then why is senior here to mess with two young kids that he could squish in one flick?”
The man grinned at Maxwell, making Maxwell take a step backward. “Well, I can see some potential within you both. Spar against each other, let me see your fighting prowess, I’ll just be beside the window looking at you two.”
Maxwell looked at Illis. Illis’s eyes lightened up, imagining how great it would be to be as strong as the man.
Maxwell tapped on his shoulders and sighed. “Hey Illis, let’s spar.”
Illis was jolted back to reality from the tap. “Eh? Oh, oh yeah. Let’s spar.”
…
Illis and Maxwell faced each other again, now having a serious glint in their eyes. They didn’t want to look bad in front of the man.
The man chuckled again. “Don’t get so tense. I’m just watching, that’s all. Just go fight at your full strength. I’ll even make sure that any attacks you two make won’t even be heard outside this hall.”
Within a second, the familiar light blue emanated around the man. This aura then covered the main hall, turning everything into a light blue color.
“Fight!” the man shouted.
Maxwell stretched his shoulders. “Let’s just fight okay Illis? Just enjoy the-”
He was interrupted from his dialogue as Illis started to charge towards Maxwell with a punch. Maxwell took a step backward, barely dodging the attack.
“Hey! I wasn’t ready!” Maxwell hurriedly manifested the dark blue saber. He then slashed towards Illis’s body.
Illis countered the attack with his right fist. But then, Maxwell grinned.
“Nine Dragon Blade!”
Within a breath’s time, two dragons encircled the saber, making the saber’s aura more fierce.
Illis was surprised but he then furrowed his eyebrows, thinking of a method to retaliate. He decided to increase the force exerted by the fist he was sending.
Bang!
Both of them were sent flying. Illis landed on his feet a few meters away while Maxwell also landed on his feet, albeit a few meters farther.
…
“Hm…pretty good basics. His body is more firm than before, probably because he increased levels. But his strength, that could only be exerted by someone who has that bloodline,” the man muttered inwardly.
“Or maybe…it’s that cultivation technique? Anyways, I’ll see to it till the end.”
…
A few minutes have passed since the start of the fight. Illis was still fine, with some small scratches here and there.
Maxwell was faring off worse, with some huge bruises on his body. These bruises were all swollen, making him look like a different person.
“Hey Maxwell, you think we should stop?” Illis asked.
Maxwell shook his head. “I haven’t even used my full strength yet.”
“Nine Dragon Blade: Third Dragon!”
As he said that, a third dragon started to encircle his saber, making the saber look like a work of art.
“Hehe!” Maxwell grinned, “I have never stopped training this skill! You’ll be the first one to taste it!”
Illis smiled as if everything was still as planned.
“Eh? Why are you smiling like that?” Maxwell felt that something was off.
“Oh nothing. I also haven’t used all of my strength yet.”
“Tyrant’s Roar: Attack Boost!”
Roar!
…
A roar similar to a lion’s resounded throughout the hall, making the man’s eyes widen a bit in shock.
“Eh? [Tyrant’s Roar]? If before was all just speculation, then I’m sure now!” the man chuckled loudly.
“Anyways, let’s see what’s this Attack Boost part is,” the man said to himself.
“Examine [Tyrant’s Roar: Attack Boost].”

“What?! That’s impressive! He could create a variant skill based off of an original one! And to make it that powerful is even more impressive!” the man laughed in extreme joy.
“He’s truly fit to become my disciple! I want him!”
…
“Prepare Maxwell! Take my final blow!”
Illis charged towards Maxwell yet again, appearing behind his back. Illis aimed towards the chest, hoping to end the fight with him being the winner.
Maxwell saw this and chuckled. “I won’t let you do so that easily!”
“Nine Dragon Blade: Three Wave Defense!”
The dragons that encircled the saber suddenly enlarged to a size of a normal human and encircled Maxwell instead, protecting him from Illis’s fist.
As the fist and the dragons collided, one of the dragons perished from the force of Illis’s fist alone, making Maxwell surprised.
The fist’s residual force was redirected to another dragon that endured it, ending up in a weak state.
Illis wiped off the sweat on his forehead. “Man, you really shocked me with that technique. Who knew you could use your dragons as defense?”
Maxwell slapped Illis’s back, chuckling. “Who told you to get a skill that made you even stronger, huh? Of course I would have trump cards like these!”
Illis laughed. “Well anyways that’s a draw for now. We have our strong spots and weak spots.”
Maxwell nodded. “Yeah, let’s stop it at this for now.”
The man clapped as he removed the aura around the main hall, turning everything back into their normal colors.
“You two did good. You both have great basics and knowledge. But…”
He slowly went towards Illis, putting both of his hands on Illis’s shoulders.
The man grinned. “Do you want to become my disciple?”
Maxwell, with the situation he was in, fell to the ground in pure shock.
Illis, in this case, tilted his head in confusion.
“Eh?”
