Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 6
After half a month, Shi Li was able to cultivate the technique to the point he was able to exert 5 times his normal strength. What was his normal strength? It was already at 50 ren! It was higher than the normal peak of Muscular Refinement by 5 times!
With him being able to exert around the strength of 250 ren, he could already triumph over all Muscular Refinement cultivators and even most Qi Creation cultivators!
He was satisfied with this amount of strength for now. What he needed the most was experience. He needed experience to utilize his strength to the fullest, so he took a shower, changed clothes and went to his father’s room.
…
Shi Xingwan heard a knock on the door. “Father, it’s me.” Shi Li said. “Enter, my child.” Shi Xingwan replied. Shi Li then opened the door and sat on a chair. Shi Li looked hard at his father, like a gaze of determination and said, “Father, I want to go outside and temper myself. I need combat experience.”
Hearing these words, Shi Xingwan frowned. He never thought that this day would come pretty early. It was only half a month since his son started cultivating. Hoping that his son would not overestimate himself, he answered, “If you want to temper outside, I would allow you to do so.”
Shi Li was excited but Shi Xingwan continued, “That is only if you can unleash the strength of a Qi Creation Stage 1 cultivator.” Shi Li just stood up from the chair and smiled, “Would you believe me Father if I already have the strength of a Qi Creation cultivator? Not early stage but a middle stage Qi Creation cultivator?”
The statement of Shi Li shocked Shi Xingwan greatly. ‘He has progressed this far already?’ Shi Xingwan thought. He then calmed down and said, “Then prove it to me. I will conjure a qi barrier around me. Attack me with your full strength.”
Shi Li nodded. In a breath’s amount of time, a layer of blue qi was created around Shi Xingwan’s body. Shi Xingwan then said to his son, “Attack now!”
These were the words Shi Li was waiting for. Shi Li then let out a punch aimed at his father’s qi barrier. The qi barrier wasn’t actually able to handle the force of Shi Li’s punch so it crumpled under the pressure and broke into fragments.
This surprised Shi Xingwan greatly. ‘My child’s words were actually true! His strength isn’t just at the middle stage of Qi Creation but he actually reached the late stage of Qi Creation! Have I given birth to a monster here? This is truly impossible!’ Thinking about his son’s words made Shi Xingwan extremely happy.
But the greater problem was at hand. His son was about to hit him with full force. Shi Xingwan punched out a fist that aimed to nullify Shi Li’s fist. The result was Shi Li was nullified and pushed a few steps back and Shi Xingwan was still standing.
…
After punching out, Shi Li knew that he had strength but he didn’t have the control. He needed to gain more experience to perfectly utilize his monstrous strength. He then remembered that he broke his father’s qi shield. This made him really happy. He then asked his father again, “Can I go outside and temper myself?”
Shi Xingwan was shocked but happy for his son. He answered, “Of course you can. You already have the strength that could potentially beat me. Hahaha I’ve given birth to a great son. He will become a genius! How long will you be away?”
Shi Li then answered, “Around 5 years.” This shocked Shi Xingwan. “5 years? You’re only 17 years old my child! You haven’t even gotten a companion for life yet. But again, fate works in mysterious ways. I’ll allow it. If I don’t see you in 5 years and you come back later than that, I’ll make sure that you would regret doing so.” Shi Xingwan said.
“I promise to you Father that I will be back within 5 years. I don’t even want to think what happens if I go over it.” Shi Li said and chuckled. His father truly loves him very much. I will make sure to not let this tempering journey be in vain! Shi Li thought.
Before leaving, Shi Li asked his father, “Do we have any armor that can change in weight?” Shi Xingwan answered, “If you’re talking about the [Grand Mountain Armor], we do. We have 3 of them in the armory, differing in colors to differentiate their maximum weight. The red one can give a pressure of 50 ren at maximum, the violet one at 200 ren, and the yellow one at 500 ren. Why do you need it?”
Shi Li just said, “To train my body even further.” Shi Xingwan nodded and Shi Li left the room. Shi Li then walked to the armory to be greeted with a plethora of weapons and armor.
Weapons and armors of different shapes, sizes and elements greeted Shi Li when he entered. He grabbed the yellow [Grand Mountain Armor] and wore it, adjusting it to a weight of 100 ren. It was twice his body strength but with a huge amount of effort, he was able to lift himself up. If you looked at him right now, he would seem domineering, but his body says otherwise.
Even after a half month of bitter training, he still didn’t gain any muscle. He was still skinny. He sighed at this idea and searched for a good weapon.
Swords weren’t his style since he didn’t know how to use knives. Spears were also a no go for him since stabbing with a spear would be curvy. Shurikens, kunais, zithers, sabers, bows, almost every type of weapon could be found here unlike the technique room. He then decided to grab a greathammer. This greathammer was called [Toppling Earth]. It was a weapon of the Peak Human grade. One swing of the hammer would call the wind and one smash would shake the earth. It was around 1.8 meters, taller than Shi Li by a bit. It weighed around 80 ren. The hammer had a smooth texture and the handle was well-crafted, showing the craftsman’s love for the weapon.
“I’ll be relying on you then. Well then, let’s set off.” Shi Li said. He walked out of the clan gates and looked behind one last time. He set forth, to go on a journey that seemed like there was no end.
