Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 61
Illis looked at the wolves in front of him. Their legs were all bent backwards, ready to lunge in an instant when commanded.
He looked at the silver wolf with a curious gaze. “I know that the wolf howled for help and I killed it, but is there really a need for this much wolves?”
The silver wolf coldly replied, “Not just any wolf would answer that howl. The only wolf that would answer that kind of howl would be if…I was the wolf’s father!”
Illis took a step back in shock. He took a deep breath then pointed towards the carcass. “You’re this wolf’s father?”
The silver wolf nodded with an angry expression. “If not, then why am I here? Just to play around?”
“Wolves, attack!”
In an instant, 3 wolves headed towards Illis’s head, chest, and legs. He calculated their trajectories and exerted all of the force he could throughout his legs, barely dodging the jaws.
It seemed like a natural movement for Illis, yet judging by the sweat dripping on his forehead, it was far away from that.
When he thought that the attacks were over, out of nowhere, 2 wolves charged towards his legs and bit down hard.
“Argh!”
Illis fell to the ground as he grimaced in pain. His eyes were focused on the two wolves, seething with fury.
He pushed himself upwards to stand and grabbed the two wolves by the back, disabling them from being able to bite any further. He then threw them with his full strength.
The wolves flew towards the trees and collided them head-on, creating a loud crack noise. They then fell to the ground and slowly stood up again, with dust and blood on their fur. They were growling in anger.
Looking at those two wolves, he sighed. “It is truly the most ruthless training if you have bad luck.”
“Then again, I threw them with my full strength. How are they able to stand up even after enduring that much?”
“System, identify.”
——–
Grey Wolf (Variant)
Level: 6-8
Experience: ???
HP: 57-82/200
Thanks to a genetic mutation within their bodies, these wolves can withstand more force than any normal wolf could.
——–
Looking at the information on the screen, he cried out in sorrow.
“Variants? Why does it have to be variants on the first day of training?”
Variants were creatures that mutated genetically, allowing them to do things that normal creatures can’t. It could be stronger attack and defense, faster speed, or something out of the ordinary.
As he was looking at the screen, he remembered the three wolves he dodged. He turned around and activated [Tyrant’s Roar: Attack Boost], giving him a faint crimson aura around him.
He then proceeded to punch those 3 wolves in the skull, making them hit the ground hard. Thanks to the force of Illis’s fist and the ground, the wolves’ brains vibrated vigorously until it turned to mush.
In the end, those wolves couldn’t stand up anymore. They looked like they were sleeping, as if nothing was wrong.
The silver wolf looked at this situation with shock.
‘This human is definitely stronger than I thought! He could throw 2 variants and even kill 3 wolves with that kind of injury!’
‘I guess I have no choice to use that tactic then.’
…
Illis tended to his wounds as he sat down. Every movement he did was as delicate as possible to reduce the amount of pain he was getting.
After a few minutes, Illis stood up and looked at the wolves with a furious gaze. He then did a taunting gesture.
“Come and get me wolves. You know you want to kill me,” he grimly chuckled.
All of them truly wanted to kill him for being arrogant, yet without any commands from the silver wolf, they wouldn’t move.
Until suddenly, the silver wolf suddenly commanded, “3 wolves have died and 2 are severely injured. 25 of you are still remaining. Form into 5 teams, 2 teams on binding, 2 on attack, and 1 on special purposes.”
The wolves heard this and gave howls of affirmation. Within seconds, five teams according to the silver wolf’s preferences were made, making Illis a bit more vigilant.
‘What are they planning on doing now?’ he thought to himself.
“Team 2 and 4, bind the human.”
The wolves in team 2 and 4 lunged forward and attempted to bite Illis on different spots, some on his arms, some on his legs, some on his body and some on…other places.
Illis tried to dodge all of their attacks, but to no avail. All of the wolves bit down on Illis’s body hard. If 2 wolves already made Illis grimace in pain, then 10 was unbearable for him.
“ARGH! GET OFF OF ME!”
He tried to shake them off of his body, yet he couldn’t. All of the wolves bit near his nerves, making his attempt at shaking them turn into a funny dance.
“Good, good, good,” the silver wolf grinned. “Team 1, attack at his chest with the [Slash] skill.”
5 wolves obeyed this command and started to charge towards Illis, their paws faintly glistening. This faint light was due to the [Slash] skill’s effects.
——–
[Slash]
Increases the attack power of sharp objects to a certain extent for a limited amount of time.
——–
They jumped in mid-air and aimed their paws towards Illis, all of their claws protracted. In no time, tens of claws pierced through Illis’s chest, making him scream loudly in pain.
“ARGHHHHHH!!!”
It was truly unbearable for him. It made him feel like an inverted porcupine, with pierce wounds all over his body. Blood was leaking out of each and every one of them.
“Just stop!”
He couldn’t help but scream out, yet all that came out was a soft cry. He attempted to shake them off again, but they all clung tight.
15 wolves were on his body at different spots, making Illis want to end it all.
“Hahahaha! You should be honored to die by my pack! You murdered my son so I’ll let you taste everlasting pain!”
“What do you mean murdered your child?” Illis couldn’t help but shout. “He was the one who attacked me first!”
“Attacked you first? Hmph, that’s nonsense,” the silver wolf harrumphed. “Team 3, attack the human’s back!”
5 wolves hurriedly ran towards Illis’s back and did the same thing the previous team, dig all of their claws through Illis’s skin, making him lose blood even faster.
The current scene looked like it came out from a horror film. Multiple wolves covered his upper and lower body, only revealing a face that screamed out for mercy. The fur on the wolves were partially dyed red, thanks to the crimson blood flowing out of Illis’s body. A puddle was formed under him, growing bigger and bigger ever so slightly.
‘If this continues, I’m seriously gonna die! Why do I have extremely bad luck?!’
‘I’ve been bitten by many wolves and close to being dead, should I give up and just let it happen?’
‘Of course not! I want to fight back!’
‘But I don’t have the strength. I need more strength!’
All of these thoughts flashed on Illis’s mind. He really wanted to fight back against the wolves. At that moment, a voice resounded in his mind.
“I can help you.”
Illis’s eyes widened a bit as he was still screaming out in pain.
“Who are you?” he asked in his mind.
“I…am you.”
“Wait what do you mean?”
“I’ll explain that later, there’s no time. Do you want to fight back against the wolves or become prey to them and die?”
Illis replied seriously as the voice was familiar to him.
“I want to fight back. Just help me.”
“No worries, I am you. So I shall help you,” the voice chuckled.
“Just let me take over your body and everything shall be fine.”
In mere moments, the blood circulating around Illis’s body started to circulate faster and faster. His eyes slowly became bloodshot from the speed of circulation.
Slowly, his veins started to widen, speeding up the blood circulation even further. His muscles were becoming more and more defined. His skin was becoming more and more tight.
He was getting slightly taller to accomodate more muscles. Slowly, Illis was looking like a different person, until the transformation was finally completed.
The wolves that were previously stuck on Illis’s body now found it hard to pierce even further. They looked at Illis’s face and were all dumbfounded. Illis had an indifferent face, as if the pain didn’t affect him at all.
Illis then started to spiral madly, shaking off all of the wolves from his body. This time, it worked as they all went flying.
“What?!” the silver wolf was dumbfounded at the scene.
It looked at Illis and saw that it wasn’t the same guy anymore. The human in front of him looked even stronger than the previous one.
All of the pierce wounds on the human’s body started to close up within seconds, making the human look like he didn’t lose blood at all.
The silver wolf saw this and took a step back in fear. “Who…who are you? Are you still the same human I attacked a while ago?”
Illis, with an indifferent gaze cast upon the silver wolf replied.
“I am me.”
