Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 75
“May the two of you begin!”
Illis bowed towards his opponent respectfully. “May we have a good fi-”
“Psh. What good fight?” Illis was interrupted by his opponent. His opponent sneered as he looked at Illis with disdain.
“You’re just 15 years old, you don’t have enough battle experience. Sure you may be level 8, but can you use that power?”
Illis stood up and shrugged. “Well, I do have full control over my power.”
“You? Control over your power?” The opponent couldn’t help but laugh. “You must be kidding me!”
Illis frowned a bit. He sighed dejectedly as he extended his hand and taunted the opponent. “I wanted this to finish at a good end, but since you’re like that, you leave me no choice.”
In an instant, Illis’s aura intensified, exuding a faint yet sharp killing intent. “Come and punch me.”
The opponent smiled evilly and charged towards Illis. As there were only a few meters left between them, the opponent punched towards Illis’s chest…only to miss by a few centimeters.
Illis looked at the opponent who had confusion written all over. “As I said, give me a punch.”
The opponent looked at his fist. He was sure that his fist would land on Illis’s chest, but it seemed that it was not the case.
The opponent stood up and looked at Illis with a suspicious gaze. He took a few steps backward and aimed towards Illis’s head. Running towards him yet again, he striked yet again…only to fail.
Illis’s head was tilted by a bit, barely dodging the punch. He looked at his opponent with a serious gaze and said, “Punch me.”
The opponent looked at Illis with shock. The first time he hit Illis, it could’ve been said that Illis was lucky. But now that he did it another time, it was proof that Illis did have control over his power.
But even with this kind of proof, the opponent didn’t admit defeat. Instead, he stepped backwards and contracted his fists, condensing his power.
“Since you want to be punched, how about taking a lot of fists in one go?!”
“[Tempest Blow]!”
The opponent’s first punch aimed towards Illis’s left leg, to which Illis responded with a short glide on the floor. After that, the second punch aimed at his chest, to which Illis took a step backward.
It continued for minutes. The opponent was punching in succession, while Illis dodged them gracefully, leaving a small gap between them.
The audience looked at this in awe. It was a fight, yet it seemed like a beautiful dance instead.
“Illis may only be 15, but he’s great at dodging,” an audience member exclaimed.
“I agree. But since he’s great at dodging, I’m sure he’s weak in terms of combat po…wer?” another audience exclaimed, but was left dumbfounded at the end.
Illis continued to dodge every single blow the opponent gave. He sighed. “Let’s end this.”
In a flash, he vanished in front of his opponent, appearing behind the opponent with his right fist clenched.
The opponent turned around with shock, but it was too late.
With a boom, Illis striked squarely on the opponent’s back, sending the opponent flying. The opponent fell to the ground unconscious.
Each and every audience member that saw this was left astounded. ‘This Illis sure is ruthless!’ all of them thought in their minds.
The Gold Body Anima looked at the state of Illis’s opponent and saw that he was going to be fine. He then looked towards the audience and announced, “Illis has won this round!”
…
On a pillar, two people looked at each other with swords on their hands. One had a mana blade in the form of a katana, while the other one had two broadswords that were made out of a metallic material.
The one with two swords was Tian Auria. He looked at his opponent with vigilance and caution, as his opponent was adept in the arts of katanas.
His opponent charged at him without hesitation, and slashed downwards. Tian Auria blocked this attack with his two swords in a cross pattern.
He then flung the katana upwards and thrusted at the opponent’s chest. The opponent noticed and hurriedly took a few steps backward.
Tian Auria continued to walk closer and closer, piercing at the opponent’s vital parts, just for all of them to be blocked the opponent’s katana.
A few seconds later, the opponent found an opening and striked towards it. Tian Auria saw this and smiled. He changed the way he was holding one sword, and started to spiral faster and faster.
“[Blade Whirl]!”
‘Damn! This was a trap!’ The opponent rotated his katana to the flat side and jumped upwards. He then smashed the katana down, aiming to cancel Auria’s blade tornado.
Rather than trying to defend from the smash, Tian Auria changed the angles of the blade tornado, making sure that his opponent would be hit.
The opponent couldn’t do anything but let it happen. With a crash, the three blades collided and sparks flew everywhere. When the opponent landed, he hurriedly made space between them.
…
Illis looked at Maxwell who was smiling as he went back to his seat. “So, how did the fight go?”
Maxwell chuckled lightly. “Out of luck, I won the fight. Who knew that my opponent would run into some problems?”
Illis nodded and smiled. “Good for you.” He then noticed the fight happening between Tian Auria and his opponent.
Maxwell looked at the direction where Illis was looking and was left in awe. “Their movements are graceful yet destructive. Soft and hard at the same time. Both of them could have possibly attained grand blade mastery!”
“Mastery is uh…” Maxwell tried to recall all the certain information he knew about it. “It’s when you use a certain weapon or technique numerous times until it becomes second nature to you.”
Terry continued where Maxwell left off. “Mastery can be split into 5 levels: low, middle, high, grand, and peak. It exists in everything.”
Illis then asked a question, “So does that mean…there’s a fist mastery as well?”
Terry nodded. “Of course there is. The higher your fist mastery, the more condensed the power your fist could exert. So far, you are at the low stage of beginner mastery.”
Illis made an “Oh” expression on his face and continued to ask. “How do I raise my fist mastery then?”
Maxwell answered, “That’s simple. Just repeat until you get a better understanding of it.”
“Anyways, it seems that their fight is ending.” Maxwell looked at the pillar where Tian Auria was and pointed at that direction.
…
Tian Auria and his opponent looked at each other, seemingly tired.
The opponent couldn’t help but chuckle. “Hey, don’t you think this will end in a stalemate?”
Tian Auria had an indifferent look on his face as he put one of his swords on his back. He then charged towards his opponent and started to wave the sword crazily.
The opponent saw this and wanted to step backward, but the sword didn’t hit him at all so he stayed where he was.
A few seconds later, Tian Auria put his other sword on his back, looking at his opponent with a serious gaze.
The opponent tilted his head in confusion, then came to a realization. He smirked as he said, “Did you put your swords back since you’re going to admit defeat?”
Tian Auria slowly shook his head at the thought. Raising one of his hands upward, he said to his opponent, “No. You’ve already lost.”
With a snap of his fingers, lacerations formed throughout the opponent’s body. The katana the opponent was holding was broken into pieces as well.
Looking at his own body covered in wounds, the opponent was left dumbfounded as he looked at Tian Auria. “But you didn’t even hit me…how?”
Tian Auria replied with two words, “[Misty Blade].”
He turned around and walked back to his seat. The Gold Body Anima in charge of the pillar saw this and announced, “Tian Auria has won this round!”
As Tian Auria sat down on his seat, he noticed that Illis was looking at him. Tian Auria looked at Illis and smiled evilly.
“Soon, you shall die according to the Lord’s orders.”
Hey, Truedawn here.
Thanks for reading my novel as always.
So chapter 75, 3/4s of the way until 100. A few more until the end of this volume. I know that most of my readers dropped this at the start of volume 2, since it was a sudden twist. Trust me, just a little bit longer and I’ll explain it all.
Power stones are greatly appreciated.
