Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 78
Transcending Skies Arena.
The Gold Body Anima in charge of the pillar looked at the two. He then took a deep breath and shouted, “Fight!”
In a flash, Zelos and Illis charged at each other, with the aim of inflicting a serious wound.
Zelos grabbed his two daggers from his pockets and started to swing them in an erratic manner, making Illis hesitate on charging forward.
With this hesitation from Illis, Zelos took advantage of it and dashed forward to slash at Illis. In the end, he was left to slash air.
He looked around for traces of Illis until a voice softly muttered something beside his left ear.
“I’m behind you.”
Zelos’ eyes widened as he turned around, looking at Illis with his right fist raised up. Illis punched towards Zelos’ chest, but was blocked by Zelos’ right hand as Zelos threw one of his daggers upward.
Zelos held onto Illis’ hand, then threw it aside as he catched his dagger. He then moved in a spiral, forcing Illis to step backward.
Seconds later, Zelos stopped as he looked at Illis seriously. “You do know that we won’t finish this round in a short time right?” He asked.
Illis nodded. “I do know that. But to be honest, it’s better if it’s a battle of attrition.”
All of a sudden, Illis roared outwards, making the audience near their pillar get goosebumps.
Zelos let Illis do his thing as he asked, “What skill?”
Illis glared at Zelos with a killing gaze as he responded, “[Tyrant’s Roar: Attack Boost].”
Illis then vanished from Zelos’ sight, appearing in mid-air seconds later. He then condensed all of his strength onto his fists as he aimed at Zelos.
Zelos looked at Illis and evilly grinned. Slowly, the aura of daggers became sharp and chilling, making anyone that look at the daggers get a wound on their eyes.
He grabbed a stick out of his spatial rift and connected the daggers on both ends, facing opposite sides. The weapon Zelos was holding looked like a dual-bladed scythe, yet its blades were shorter.
He chuckled a bit. “If you’re going to go all out, then I’ll go all out as well.”
“[Shadow Reaper: Scythe Mode].”
The audience looked at this and gasped. “Zelos is going all-out! The Dark Scythe is back!”
Illis extended both of his fists outward as he fell towards him. The power within the fists grew stronger and stronger until it reached a point of
Boom!
An explosion. There was only a gap of a few meters between them as it happened. ‘I’m sure that Zelos would be injured,’ Illis thought.
As the dust settled down, Illis saw that Zelos was left unscathed from the explosion.
Zelos yawned and said, “Can I go now?”
He then started to move his makeshift scythe into a spiral, gradually turning into a wheel of death.
After a while, the scythe was rotating at speeds unimaginable by normal people. Zelos then threw it towards Illis, to which Illis responded with a jump as he dodged it.
“You thought that would me?” said Illis. “You must be underestimating m-”
The scythe that was flying further, came back towards Illis, forcing him to duck quickly.
Zelos then grabbed the scythe on its shaft, looking at Illis with a calm face. “So you were saying?”
Illis stood up and clicked his tongue. “This is gonna take a while.”
Kongfei Medicine Pavillion, the outside.
Shi Li and Cai Luiyin waited for Wei Zilun and Qin Huafei to come.
Passing the time, Shi Li decided to grab a Soul Rousing Fruit from his bag and ate it.
In an instant, Shi Li felt that his mind was becoming more sturdy. Some of the fog covering his mind dissipated as well.
He looked at the fruit with a slight smile. “This Soul Rousing Fruit is truly effective! Just one bite alone gave me 3% of my memory back!”
Minutes later, Wei Zilun waved at the two as he came closer towards them.
“I’m truly sorry for being late. I still had to do some stuff you know?” Wei Zilun said as he chuckled.
Shi Li lightly smiled. “It’s not a problem at all. At least the three of us are here. We just need Madam Qin.”
“I was always here,” a voice said behind Shi Li.
Shi Li looked behind him and saw Qin Huafei smiling at them. “So…shall we get going?”
The three of them nodded. Wei Zilun grabbed something out of his space bag and brought it out for the three to see.
It was a carriage that could fit four people. It was sky blue in color with intricate silver engravings all around. Some paintings of cranes could be seen on the carriage as well.
“This is my prized possession, the Azure Crane Carriage. With a good mount, we could travel 500 kilometers in a day.”
He then looked at the other three and asked, “So who has a mount?”
Shi Li and Cai Luiyin shook their heads as they didn’t have any mount. Qin Huafei looked at the two and sighed. “I have a mount that we could use.”
Putting two fingers inside her mouth, she whistled loudly, bringing forth a huge gust of wind.
A creature slowly descended from the skies, revealing its appearance to the four of them.
Qin Huafei caressed the creature as she explained, “This is my mount, Bai. He’s an Iridescent Wind Eagle.”
Wei Zilun checked the eagle and nodded. “He’s a grade 5 spirit beast, he’ll let us travel over 600 kilometers in a day.”
Qin Huafei looked at her mount and said, “Bai, I need you to do something for me.” She brought out a map from her space bag. “Could you pull that carriage and carry us to this place?” She then pointed towards a certain spot on the map.
As a spirit beast, Bai understood what Huafei said and positioned himself in front of the carriage.
Qin Huafei looked at the three and smiled. “Well, what are you waiting for? Enter the carriage!”
Shi Li nodded then entered the carriage. Cai Luiyin was next, then Qin Huafei, and the last one to enter was Wei Zilun.
From inside the carriage, Qin Huafei shouted at her mount. “Go Bai!”
Bai cawed as he understood the command, and started to flap his wings as he carried the carriage towards the designated place.
Shi Li looked out at the window as he asked Qin Huafei, “Madam Qin, you said before that the Nine Thread Spirit Orchid is hard to craft right?”
Qin Huafei nodded. “That is indeed correct. The Nine Thread Spirit Orchid needs a few materials to be crafted. We’re going to the place where we could harvest the most important material.”
Shi Li looked at Qin Huafei as she said that. “May I know what the name of the place is?”
Qin Huafei looked at the map and nodded. “Of course you can. It’s called”
“The Valley of Truth.”
