Great Tyrannical Deity - Chapter 79
Two weeks after the four left the Kongfei Medicine Pavillion.
Qin Huafei looked at her map and checked the surroundings outside the window. “Yep. The topography is correct, the elevation is also correct as well. We’re here.”
Shi Li woke up from his nap and hurriedly looked out of the window. Rubbing his eyes, he asked, “We reached the Valley of Truth?”
Qin Huafei nodded. “Correct. Prepare to descend.”
The eagle pulling on the carriage gradually slowed down, allowing the carriage to safely land on one side of the valley.
Qin Huafei opened the door and looked at the remaining two. “Hey. Wake up, we’re here.”
Cai Luiyin and Wei Zilun instantly sat up straight and looked at each other. They rubbed their eyes and then looked back at Qin Huafei.
They then looked at the view around them, which jolted them to becoming awake.
Wei Zilun stood up and got out of the carriage. Shi Li and Cai Luiyin were next, making Qin Huafei the last one to leave the carriage.
Qin Huafei then moved towards the eagle and caressed its feathers. “Thanks for doing this Bai. Once I get back, you’ll be given more cultivation resources.”
Bai understood this and rubbed its beak on Qin Huafei’s head before flying away.
Wei Zilun grabbed his carriage and put it back into his space bag. Looking at the massive depression in front of them, he asked Qin Huafei, “Huafei, is this the valley?”
Qin Huafei nodded. “This is the Valley of Truth alright.”
Shi Li looked at the surroundings of the valley for a while and decided to get close to Qin Huafei. “Madam Qin, can I ask you something?”
Qin Huafei turned around towards Shi Li as her eyes widened slightly. “Yes? What would you want to know?”
Shi Li rubbed his chin as he asked, “You told me about a week ago that the most important material needed for the Nine Thread Spirit Orchid is in this valley.”
Qin Huafei nodded. “Yes, that is correct.” She then raised one of her eyebrows. “What about it?”
Shi Li looked around as he continued, “Can I ask the name of the material and its characteristics?”
Qin Huafei realized what Shi Li wanted to know and answered without hesitation, “The main material is the Enlightenment Orchid, which only blooms on Nirvana Trees every 500 years.”
Shi Li made a “hmm” sound as he scratched his head while looking at the surroundings. A few seconds later, he told Qin Huafei in confusion, “But there’s no sight of trees anywhere in this valley.”
Wei Zilun came closer towarda the two and said, “I can sense some sort of otherworldly energy within the vicinity of the valley. Is that normal?”
Qin Huafei looked at Wei Zilun with shock and nodded. “Yes…that’s normal. But isn’t it a bit too early?”
Shi Li tilted his head in confusion. “What do you mean too early?”
Qin Huafei explained, “The reason why you can’t see any trees in this valley, is because”
“They’re in a pocket world inside the valley.”
Shi Li’s eyes widened as she continued, “The pocket world would open once every 500 years when the Enlightenment Orchids have bloomed. But it has only been 375 years after the previous blooming.”
Wei Zilun connected one and one together as he muttered, “So you’re saying that…someone has forcefully opened the pocket world?”
Qin Huafei shrugged her shoulders as she looked at the valley. “I can’t say for sure, but something or someone must’ve tampered with the entrance.”
“But what I do know for sure is” She looked at the three of them, as they anticipated the statement that they hoped she would say.
“We’ll need to enter the pocket world.”
Transcending Skies Arena.
The fight between Zelos and Illis became monotonous as it was just a cycle of throwing and dodging.
As Illis was running away from Zelos’ scythe, he suddenly went into a dazed state as he looked at the ceiling of the arena.
Zelos saw this and couldn’t help but smile. “You’re trying to bait me in by going into a daze?”
The audience heard this and waited for his response. Zelos then grabbed the two daggers from the scythe and kept the shaft back into his spatial rift.
Holding on his daggers tight, he shouted, “Well I’m falling for it!”
The audience that heard this either widened their eyes from shock or fainted from shock.
Slowly, Zelos got closer towards Illis, maintaining vigilance as Illis could launch a sneak attack whenever possible.
At the time there was only a gap of a few steps between them, Zelos raised his dagger as he stabbed towards Illis.
Rather than piercing through a part of Illis’ skin, what instead happened was that he heard a soft…
Clink.
Zelos became wide-eyed as he saw that his dagger was being blocked by something, making it unable to pierce through Illis’ skin.
“That’s weird… I’m sure I stabbed as hard as possible,” Zelos muttered softly as he looked at Illis.
Looking more closely, he noticed that there was a faint energy covering Illis’ body. It covered almost every part of Illis.
Taking a few steps backward, Zelos smiled. “I see. You have mana armor protecting you.”
Grabbing on his daggers even tighter, a dark light radiated from the daggers, which gave the daggers an aura that seemingly made it able for them to cut through anything.
Raising his daggers one more time, he stabbed downwards yet again. “How about this? [Shadow Pierce]!”
Clink.
The faint energy covering Illis blocked the dagger like it was still a normal dagger. Zelos frowned. “I’m sure. Third time’s the charm.”
He then took a few steps backward as Zelos intensified the aura covering the daggers. Stabbing one more time, he shouted, “[Extreme Shadow Pierce]!”
The dagger got closer towards Illis. All of a sudden, the faint energy covering Illis dissipated, making Zelos grin widely.
“I knew it! Time to lose!”
The dagger was only a few centimeters away from Illis until…he opened his eyes as he punched towards Zelos.
“[Distant Blow: Five Worldly Elements]!”
Bang!
Zelos was blown away from Illis’ punch, crashing towards the barrier. The audience looked at this, speechless.
“That’s…too sudden of a comeback isn’t it?” All of them had the same thought.
Terry looked at Illis and couldn’t help but stand up.
“That can’t be!” He exclaimed.
“In this world filled with corrupted energy”
“How the hell could he have qi?!”
