He stood up and patted Illis’ back.

After a few hours of ceaseless infusion, the flower matured and bloomed, spreading its otherworldly energy to the surroundings.

Shi Li opened his eyes as he still sat cross-legged from his cultivation. He stood up and went towards Cai Luiyin.

“Hey. Wake up. The flower has bloomed,” he tapped on her shoulder lightly. Cai Luiyin was jolted back into reality from the tap and hurriedly stood up.

She then went towards Wei Zilun and woke him up. After a while, Wei Zilun stood up and looked at the two.

“Has the orchid fully bloomed?” he asked as he looked at Qin Huafei.

Qin Huafei looked back at him and nodded. “Indeed,” her excitement was written all over her face.

“Now who volunteers to grab the orchid?”

Wei Zilun stepped forward and grabbed a sword from his space bag. “I’ll do it.”

Standing in front of the tree, Wei Zilun took a deep breath as he channeled all of his qi towards his sword. Little by little, the sword started to emanate a faint blue glow.

Once the glow became slightly bright, Wei Zilun looked at the flower and grabbed on his sword tightly.

In a dash, he jumped upwards to lessen the gap between him and the flower. All of a sudden, the flower conjured a barrier of otherworldly energy around it, with the intent to block Wei Zilun’s attack.

Wei Zilun smiled inwardly.

‘Too bad.’

With a powerful slash, the barrier around the flower shattered without any hindrance. It was as if the sword was like a butter knife cutting through butter.

The sword continued to head towards the flower’s stem. With a swoosh, the flower was cut off from the tree with its parts intact.

Wei Zilun hurriedly used his qi to cover the flower, fearing that the flower may lose its potency once it gets injured.

Within a few seconds, Wei Zilun landed on the ground, with the flower safe from harm. He removed the qi barrier around the flower as he looked at the three and smiled.

“I got it!”

But who knew that after all that effort, someone would snatch the flower out of Wei Zilun’s hands.

“Hahaha! The Enlightenment Orchid is now mine! I shall become stronger than ever!”

A maniacal laugh could be heard a few meters away from the four. The four looked at the voice’s direction and was shocked from the sight they saw.

A man stood there without any robe to cover his body, but rather used plants to cover it instead. Small thorns protruded out of the man’s body, from his legs to his face.

The man’s irises were jade green in color, contrasting from his silvery white hair that extended towards his nape.

The four of them blinked their eyes twice to recover from the shock. Breathing a sigh of relief, Wei Zilun looked at the man and said, “Fellow daoist, we were the ones who obtained the Enlightenment Orchid first. Can you please hand it back?”

Rather than replying politely, the man spat on the ground and sneered. “Heh! You think it’s yours? I was here first! I even put my precious plants around the orchid to guard it!”

Hearing the man’s answer, Shi Li sighed. ‘I knew it. There was someone behind it.’

Wei Zilun frowned. “We used a high-grade qi crystal to let the orchid mature faster, and you say that it’s yours?”

He grabbed onto his sword and started to channel his qi towards it. “Give us two high-grade qi crystals and an arm then we can let you off.”

“Pfft! Puhahahaha!” The man embraced his stomach as he couldn’t stop laughing. He looked at the four as he put the flower inside his space bag. “That’s got to be the greatest joke I’ve ever heard!”

With a snap of his fingers, a few plants started to charge towards the four.

“If that’s the case, then die!”

The four of them became serious and started to retaliate against the plants.

Qin Huafei conjured a qi barrier around the four of them while Cai Luiyin strengthened the barrier with her frost qi.

Shi Li clenched his fists as he looked at Wei Zilun. With a serious face, he asked, “Who should go first, you or me?”

Wei Zilun shrugged his shoulders, “It doesn’t matter, just make sure to avoid his plants.”

Shi Li grinned. “That’s easy!”

He bent his knees as he activated his force multiplier to its maximum. Afterwards, he activated his Flowing Waves technique, bringing his combat power to a higher realm.

Cai Luiyin looked at him and said, “Shi Li, be careful!”

In an instant, Shi Li dashed out towards the man and appeared behind him with his left fist raised up in the air.

Gradually, qi fists stacked above his fist, accumulating more and more power.

Once he felt that the amount of qi fists were enough, he shot it towards the man’s chest.

Qin Huafei hurriedly went towards Wei Zilun and healed him up with pills and medicine.

As this happened, Shi Li went closer to the man and retracted his aura.

“I don’t mean you any harm for the moment. I just wanted to ask you something.”

The man tilted his head in confusion but still remained vigilant in case of sneak attacks. “What is it? Speak.”

“I killed you in an instant yet you’re still here standing with strong vitality. Is it from a skill?”

The man understood what Shi Li wanted to know and smirked. “Oh that. Well it’s something called”
