Greatest Swordsman In One Piece - Chapter 6 Conomi Island And Arlong Pirates

The sun had just risen above the horizon and brighten up the sea. A small wooden raft was seen drifting on the sea. The raft has no sail, it was just a platform made of logs. A small boy was sleeping on the raft. The boy has messy black hair and wore a loose black pant fill with holes.

Mike had been drifting on the sea for a week and his food supply ran out last night. He was hungry thirsty and tired. He had no idea where he was. His raft was carried by the wind and the sea currents for the past week. His sail was swept off when he met a storm one night. He also meet some sea monsters but he was able to scare them off with his conqueror haki. He didn’t see a single island during his journey. He was hoping to find an island or at least a ship today.

While he was reminiscing about his journey for the past week he saw a small black dot appear in the horizon. He was excited on seeing something other than water in a while. He row his raft towards the black dot with all he had. When he went closer he saw that it was a pirate ship sailing slowly but it was still too far away for him to identify their jolly roger.

” They are pirates, so I cannot just go up to them and ask for some food. They must be going to an island to rob a village or to stock up supplies. I will follow them and if they don’t reach an island by tonight, I will rob them.”,

He decided that he would follow the pirate ship to their destination. Mike row his raft and followed the pirate ship from afar. He was able to keep up with the ship as it was sailing slowly. After hours of following he saw an island.

The island was big and fill with greenery. From afar it looks as if the whole island was filled with evergreen trees. He saw the pirate ship docking in front of a village so he row faster towards the island. As he got closer he finally saw the jolly roger of the pirate ship. It was that of a saw-nosed shark turned to the left with the tail curving inward. Around the shark is a semi-oval with three curves emitting from it. Behind the shark is a cross bone. Now he knew which pirate crew he had been following. He had seen this pirate flag before, it was the flag of Arlong Pirates.

When he reached the island he saw many broken ship parts beside the Arlong Pirate’s ship. He knew that the pirates were attacking the village so he jump down from the raft and ran towards the village. He wanted to save the village from being destroyed. When he reached the village, he saw the streets in chaos. People were running away in panic, many stalls and shops on the roadside were broken down but he did not see any Arlong Pirates. So he stoped a random villager and asked,

“Hello sir, what is the name of this island and what happened to the pirates who came here?”

“This is Conomi island, kid. Where are your parents? The pirates went in that direction and before they come back you should find your parents and get out off this island.” The village answered while pointing at a direction and ran away.

Mike knew where he was after hearing the villager’s word and realized what was about to happen. He was in the island where Nami grew up and was occupied by the Arlong pirates. He rushed in the direction pointed by the villager. In the anime he felt so sad that he cried when he watched Arlong killing Bellemere( Nami’s step mother) and forcing Nami to draw sea maps for him for her whole childhood. After walking for a few minutes he heard the sound of fighting in front of him. He ran across an orange orchard fill with ripe orange and after crossing it he saw an old man kneeing behind a double storey house. He went past the old man as he heard the sound of fighting from the other side of the house.

When he finally reached there he saw the crew of Arlong Pirates beating some villagers and Arlong pointing a gun at Bellemere’s heart. He saw Bellmere looking at Nami and Nojiko and heard her saying ,”Nojiko! Nami! , Love you”.

Arlong was about to pull the trigger so he had no time to think of any strategy, he released a strong wave of conqueror haki towards them. Then the pirates and the villagers who were fighting started falling one after another. Only few people’s were left conscious. Only Arlong and his 3 officers were still conscious from the Arlong pirate and from the villagers only Bellemere and an injured guy in a police uniform were conscious. Arlong’s hand also trembled for a second when he pulled the trigger and missed Bellemere’s heart and the bullet only gazed her shoulder.

“Does bullying a weak women boost your pride, Arlong? I thought you consider yourself superior from us, humans but what you are doing now is even lower than an animal.” Mike angrily shouted at Arlong. He picked up a sword from an unconscious pirate and got ready to fight Arlong.

Arlong was about to shoot the women who could not pay him the money he asked for when suddenly he felt dizzy and missed his shot. Then he saw his crew except his officers falling unconsious one after another. He heard someone cursing him so he turned his head and saw a dirty kid with messy hair looking angrily at him while holding a sword as if to fight him. He didn’t believe that this kid was the one who defeated his crew.

” hahaha… This is how the world works, kid. The strong devours the weak. I am stronger than them so I can do whatever I want with them. It is not my fault that the humans are weak and we, fishmans, are strong.” , Arlong started laughing evilly.

Bellemere who was beside Arlong took the chance when he was not looking at her to run towards Nami and Nojiko. But she didn’t run far when Arlong saw what she was doing and pointed the gun and fire at her. But this time Mike was prepared, just when Arlong moved his hand to aim his gun he started running toward Bellemere. When Arlong fired the gun he was already in between them, he coated his sword with armament haki and deflects the bullet with it.

“Then I just have to kill you to end all this!!!”, Mike declared.
