We ran like hell towards the village and stopped a little bit outside to see Mark dressed in black armor while he had all the villagers tied up in the village plaza.

“Ok, Oliver and company, here’s the plan. Half of you use the south gate while half of us charge toward the north gate and trashtalk Mark to keep him occupied. You rescue the villagers while we distract him. ”

“Yes, sir! ”

We tore our clothes a little and smeared some dirt all over it to make it look like we’re very tired and just came out of a fearsome battle. That would lessen Mark’s vigilance towards us.

I even tore my pants apart and let it hang to the side. Then I gleefully rolled in a mud puddle.

We then limped towards Mark and begged him to let everyone go.

“Mark! Give me some face and release these harmless people!”

“No! You give me some face and kill yourself right now!”

Mark grinned triumphantly at our sorry sight.

Oliver came forward and begged on his knees with tears in his eyes.

“Why?! Mark! Why did you have to do this?! ”

He bawled his eyes out and fainted from exhaustion.

Mark seemed to have hesitated a little and that was the moment when all the hostages have been freed unknowingly behind him. Oliver suddenly sprang into action and proceeded to beat Mark’s sorry ass.
